In mid-August 2023, TikToker @aidenstevenoffical posted a slideshow to TikTok where he goes over some disturbing serial killer facts. On the last slide, he shares a selfie of a supposed man named Aidin "Fingertip" Stephen under a caption telling his story.

According to the slide, Aidin Stephen was caught in his high school bathroom eating another student's finger after ending the student's life with a pair of scissors. The slide claims that a video of the incident, which took place in 2008, still exists online. The TikToker's post gained over 8 million views in a few weeks and inspired the bravest viewers to go looking for the Aidin video for themselves.

In 2008, Aidin "fingertip" Stephen was caught after he was found in the school bathroom eating one of his classmates fingers. He killed the student with sicssors and streamed it on Instrgam. You can still find the full video today.


Is The "Aidin 'Fingertip' Stephen" Video Real?

As the video went viral, some viewers with strong stomachs and even stronger senses of curiosity began searching for the Aidin "Fingertip" Stephen video online. When you search for the name online, however, there are no solid results ever suggesting the incident happened. There are no news reports on the incident despite its shocking nature.

As it turns out, the story is a hoax and the Aidin "Fingertip" Stephen video does not exist. The name "Aidin Stephen" appears to be the TikToker's name, or at least close to it, whose account is "@aidenstevenofficial." The TikToker has even posted jokes in the last slide of his previous content before this, suggesting the story is just a troll.

As further proof that the story is fake, Instagram didn't roll out their live features until 2016, making it impossible that Aidin Stephen would have streamed his crime there. Nice try, @aidenstevenofficial. Well memed.
