The photos went pretty much unnoticed by anyone apart from her followers until April 2025, when one of them was reuploaded by X user @brunettebmbs, a gimmick account that uploads photos of attractive brunettes.
The photo blew up on X, especially after it was quote-reposted by user @TheDimitriT with the caption, "all a man really needs in this life is a beautiful mid to call his own."
The post, which references a meme about "beautiful mid" women, gained over 110,000 likes and propelled the image of Evelyn to virality over the next few months.
How Is 'Evelyn Smith' Used In Memes?
Since April 2025, the photo of Evelyn Smith in the restaurant has inspired numerous viral memes across Reddit, X, Instagram and more. The majority of these memes use Smith to represent an ultimate temptation.
One example, uploaded to Instagram in June to over 190,000 likes, reads, "How my car keys look when I drink three whiskeys on an empty stomach."
A more recent example comes from Men's Humor (@menshumor), who posted the photo under the caption, "How the head of HR at my company looks at me when Coldplay announces new tour dates," a reference to the viral story of the Astronomer CEO's affair.
Now, a version referencing Pedro Pascal's anxiety touching is going viral on Reddit that reads, "How the female co-star looks at Pedro Pascal when he is having anxiety mid interview."
