What Was In The Folder Twitch Streamer Vaush Accidentally Showed On Stream? The Viral 'Horse Photo' Controversy Explained
Socialist Twitch streamer Vaush has landed himself in some hot water after accidentally showing his viewers a questionable folder during a live stream. The folder contained adult content that some are purporting delves into controversial territory. So what was in the folder? Here's what we know.
What Was In The Folder 'Vaush' Showed On Stream?
On February 7th, 2024, Vaush hosted a stream on Twitch. The stream was going fine, until he accidentally pulled up a folder on his computer for a very brief second, quickly getting it off the screen. Unfortunately for Vaush, the stream was clipped and screenshotted by some viewers, who started posting it to 4chan and X.
While it's hard to tell what's in the folder from a glance, by looking at a high-quality image you can make out what appears to be adult imagery along with sub-folders containing further adult content (and also his tax information). All the images shown appear to be drawn and depict what some are alleging is underage anime characters and characters inappropriately engaging with horses.
How Have People Reacted To Vaush's Folder?
The clip and screenshot of Vaush opening the folder have gone viral online, where many are criticizing him for the alleged contents of the folder. Anonymous 4chan users on the /pol/ board are even attempting to find the sources for the shown images to confirm exactly what type of content he has saved on his hard drive. So far, they've purportedly found a number of them, allegedly confirming many's suspicions.
Others are bringing up Vaush's past controversies to try and further paint him in a bad light, while some are wondering if he can be jailed for having this content on his computer. The answer seems to be "no," as all of the images shown appear to be drawings rather than photographs.

How Did Vaush Respond To The Allegations?
Vaush responded to the incident and allegations in a stream on the evening of February 9th. During the stream, he claimed he did not know the images were depicting young girls, claiming he thought they were women with "short stack" builds. He compares the characters to goblins.
