Similar to how the Nathaniel B video popped off this year, there is currently another viral video glitch in TikTok's "For You" page algorithm. "Yeah I'd like to solve the puzzle" is the meme in question. TikTokers just can't escape this Wheel of Fortune man who's appearing everywhere, solving the most absurd of puzzles.

TikTokers are making him solve weird sound effects, phonetic mysteries and outrageous punchlines, all by editing the white, letter squares to fit the hidden phrase. It's an easy trend to hop onto and its virality is proving itself.

However, the "Yeah I'd like to solve the puzzle" video has a deep history, dating all the way back to Vine, scraping YouTube next and then finally making its way to TikTok in late 2022.

So what is this meme and how did we get to this oversaturation? Let's explain.

Where Did The Original 'Yeah I'd Like To Solve The Puzzle' Video Come From?

As stated, it all started on Vine in 2013. A Viner named Alphonso McAuley decided to make a greenscreen sketch video in which he impersonated rapper Jay-Z as a contestant on Wheel of Fortune. The imagined game show question was "Do you love Vine?" to which the hidden answer was "He He He Yup."

The original Vine earned over 1.6 million loops and 112,000 likes all before (of course) Vine later disintegrated as a video platform. Poor Vine… At least we have TikTok nowadays to satisfy our short-form, viral video itches.

Why Is The 'Yeah I'd Like To Solve The Puzzle' Video All Over TikTok?

In 2022, there are many "Vine history" channels on TikTok that post classic Vines and Vine compilations that remind the modern audience of the precursor app's existence. From these nostalgic TikTok channels, a lot of Vines resurface in the mainstream whose jokes are still funny today.

"Vine history" channels also exist on YouTube, and in early December of this year, one channel called rowboat posted several reuploads of the "Yeah I'd like to solve the puzzle" Vine.

Thereafter, the meme spread to TikTok as many creators remixed the scene, replacing the sounds and game show answer to match absurd, YTP style edits.

How To Make A 'Yeah I'd Like To Solve The Puzzle' Meme

There's a lot of video editing software out there that one can make a "Yeah I'd like to solve the puzzle" meme with. There's CapCut, Kinemaster, even iMovie. All one needs to do is replace the audio of the question being asked and the audio of the man answering the question and layer plain white JPGs over the boxes on the Wheel of Fortune board according to the amount of letters in the selected phrase.
