Where Did All These 'Amazing World Of Gumball' Crossovers Come From?
Over the past few weeks on Twitter, users have seen an abundance of popular characters standing alongside characters from The Amazing World of Gumball. Perhaps you've seen Goku or Sans chilling alongside Gumball and other Wattersons.
Here's what's going on with the deluge of Gumball crossovers posts that have been flooding Twitter lately.
Why Are There So Many Gumball Crossover Posts Lately?
Last weekend, Twitter user @randidesu posted a gag in which the character Senpai from Friday Night Funkin angrily yelled at Gumball to get him back into his game. This prompted a response from @JeoyojakeBruh, who apparently had seen enough and declared, "im now fully convinced that you can put ANY character, regardless of their artstyle, into The Amazing World of Gumball and they'd fit into it perfectly."
Thus, a hypothesis was put into the world, and the only thing left for Twitter users to do was test it.
How Have Gumball Crossover Memes Evolved?
Fans have had a blast seeing how far they could push the premise. In particular, two video edits by @DynamoSuperX and @MavsFromMars show the potential for the meme, as they cross Gumball over with Regular Show and a popular LeBron James meme, respectively.

While it's up for fans to debate whether it's true that any character can fit in the Gumball universe (though for our money, most of the edits make a good case), the meme has provided plenty of excellent crossover edits, which tend to be a hit in the fandom communities on Twitter.
