Cat Janice was a singer-songwriter born on January 20th in Virginia. She started writing music at the age of 12 and released her first album in 2014. She is most popular online for her viral song “Dance You Outta My Head,” which is dedicated to her seven-year-old son, Loren. On January 10th, 2024, she uploaded a video of herself from the hospital, with an audio from her hit song "Dance You Outta My Head," announcing that she lost her battle with cancer (shown below).
The video went viral, getting over 60 million views in under two months, and Cat unfortunately passed away on February 28th, 2024.

What Is “Dance You Outta My Head”?
"Dance You Outta My Head" is Cat Janice's last and most popular song. Released on January 19th, 2024 on Spotify, and YouTube version being released on January 28th (shown below), the song would then blow up on TikTok, becoming a viral TikTok audio. It gained over 2.5 million uses in less than two months, and quickly grew to become number one on TikTok’s Billboard Top 50.
On January 30th, 2024, Janice uploaded a video on TikTok thanking her fans for helping her get to the top of the TikTok Billboard, with a caption thanking them for "one more moment alive." The TikTok received over 26 million views in about a month. (shown below).

How Did The Song Spread Online?
Janice's song became particularly popular on TikTok, but more attention was drawn to the song and Janice as an artist due to her battle with sarcoma cancer. Janice had a very active online presence, with over two million followers on TikTok and 3.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
