About
Andrew Huberman's Math refers to a series of memes parodying a mathematical error made by podcaster Andrew Huberman, who erroneously estimated that the chance of getting pregnant could be over 100 percent after trying several times. In May 2024 after a user on X / Twitter pointed out the mistake, image caption memes based on the gaffe saw spread on the platform.
Origin
On January 23rd, 2024, neuroscientist and podcaster Andrew Huberman released a podcast episode on optimizing fertility in males and females, which received over 290,000 views on YouTube.[1] At one point in the episode, Huberman calculates the probability of a woman under 30 years old getting pregnant after six attempts to conceive, erroneously estimating it to be 120 percent.

Huberman later corrected the error in the description section of the video, calculating that the actual probability is at 73.8 percent.
On May 8th, 2024, X[2] user @bcrypt pointed out the error in the video in a post that received over 550 reposts and 6,000 likes in one week (shown below). In the thread, @bcrypt posted a clip of Huberman making the mistake, which garnered over 1,400 reposts and quote posts and 4,100 likes on X[3] in one week.
Spread
The tweet was followed by quote posts in which users made obviously wrong calculations. For example, on May 9th, 2024, X[4] user @growing_daniel made a quote post that received over 80 reposts and 5,100 likes in six days (shown below, left).
In the following week, an image of Huberman folding his hands gained popularity as a caption format on X / Twitter, with users captioning it with erroneous calculations. In multiple posts, the controversy involving Huberman dating six women at the same time was referenced.
For example, on May 13th, 2024, X[5] user @dvassalo posted a meme that garnered over 620 reposts and 15,000 likes in one day (shown below, left).
