Who Is 'Robert J. O'Neill' And What Did He Say About Making Male Kamala Harris Voters His 'Concubines?' The Viral Twitter Post Explained

Robert J. O'Neill, the former Navy SEAL who purportedly took out Osama Bin Laden, is going viral right now over what has to be one of the most bewildering tweets of 2024.

Recently, O'Neill decided to respond to a post by a group of Gen Z Kamala Harris supporters in perhaps the most unhinged way possible by suggesting they'd be his "concubines" without social media.

Understandably, many online have a lot of things to say about it. Here's the story behind the weird tweet and how it became fodder for memes ahead of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.

I just voted for Kamala Harris! I want to make you my concubine

Why Is 'Robert J. O'Neill' Going Viral On Twitter?

On November 2nd, 2024, political influencer Harry J. Sisson made a post on X / Twitter proudly stating that he voted Kamala Harris for president.

The post includes a photo of Sisson in a car with a group of men, including fellow political influencer Dean Withers. The caption reads, "We’re Gen Z voters and we all PROUDLY voted for Kamala Harris! Real men support Harris!"

The post garnered hundreds of thousands of likes in a few days, including one quote-repost by none other than Robert J. O'Neill, best known as the former Navy SEAL who claims he took out Bin Laden.

O'Neill's strange response to the post reads, "You’re not men. You’re boys. If there was no social media, you would be my concubines." It's unclear what sort of responses O'Neill wanted the post to inspire, but rest assured, he's been getting a lot of them as the tweet has since racked up nearly 54 million views in just a couple of days.

How Is Social Media Reacting To Robert J. O'Neill's 'Concubines' Post?

Mostly, people seem confused about O'Neill's post. Several people featured in the Gen Z voters photograph have responded to the post, including the poster himself, Harry Sisson, who questioned why he wanted five young boys to be his slaves and called the tweet "pretty weird." Dean Withers simply pointed out how weird it was that "the guy that shot Osama Bin Laden" wanted him to be his "sex slave."

Lots of people are making memes out of the situation as well. Some of these are speech bubbling memes that attribute O'Neill's text post to creepy and degenerate characters, like Baron Harkonnen from Dune or Dennis Reynolds from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

How Has O'Neill Reacted To The Backlash?

O'Neill recently posted a video on X responding to the backlash from his post. In the video, he defends his use of the word "concubine," claiming it simply means "slave" and ignoring the typical sexual implications of the word.

He also spends a lot of time calling Sisson and the others in the photo "betas" and claiming they'd never be able to defend themselves in a situation that required it.
