Among Us art tutorials is a humorous art trend that involves drawing body parts and other objects using a crewmate from the 2018 video game Among Us as the basic template. Popularized on Twitter in September and October 2022, the trend became a fun exercise for Twitter artists who came up with increasingly more inventive ways to incorporate sussy little crewmates into their drawings.

How Did Among Us Art Tutorials Originate?

The trend started with artists drawing Among Us eyes by drawing the iris and the pupil as a crewmate, which produced the "weepy eyes" effect. The technique originates from a June 2022 Touhou Project fan art created by artist @humihino, who drew character Junko's irises in the shape of red crewmates from Among Us. The technique, however, did not go viral until three months later, when on September 20th, artist @NenekHani posted fan art in which they employed @humihino's method.

After playing around with eye Amoguses for a while, artists explored further as they started using crewmates as a basic template for buttocks, thighs, ears, water and much, much more. It was Twitter artists @shouz140, @Kosushiroll and @NenekHani who were among the first to apply the technique to other body parts, and on October 12th, Twitter user @F0rtuneL0W1ER posted a compilation tweet, helping push the meme to virality.
