It's unclear where exactly they started, with posts wondering if Blue is trans dating back to March 2025. In May, a tweet claiming she is trans with no evidence garnered over 1,300 likes in a month.

Then, in June, a side-by-side image purporting to show Bonnie Blue next to a photo of herself pre-transition began spreading online.

Along with the side-by-side, a screenshot of what appears to be a Wikipedia page for someone named "Kyle Butler" started going viral. The page claims that Butler was Bonnie's name pre-transition and that she transitioned when she was 13.

Purportedly, she "admitted" this during a 2022 podcast that was supposedly deleted at her request. So, is any of this true?

While there are certainly a lot of conspiratorially minded people sharing the rumors that Bonnie Blue is trans, there is no solid evidence to suggest that she ever transitioned.

The alleged Wikipedia page appears to be fake, with no signs of the rumored podcast clip of her admitting to being trans resurfacing.

What's more, the image purportedly showing Blue pre-transition appears to be an edit of a preexisting photograph of Bonnie Blue. The photo was likely run through a face filter to change her appearance from that of a woman to a man.

As it currently stands, there is no solid evidence that Bonnie Blue is a man, making the claims another example of a baseless and arguably transphobic transvestigation conspiracy theory.

Despite this, the rumors are still spreading online on sites like X, Facebook and TikTok, where some people seem convinced that Bonnie is a trans woman.
