The Dragon Ball fandom is making a bizarre series of memes that pair an animation of Jiren dancing with an unexpected song go viral.

These memes have users taking a collection of animations by a specific TikToker and editing them together to make funny video compilations. Meanwhile, others are simply doing the Jiren dance to the best of their ability.

So, what exactly is the "Jiren dancing" meme and why is it going so viral? Here's what we know.

What Is The 'Dancing Jiren' Meme?

The Dancing Jiren meme comes to us thanks to a series of animations by TikToker @dblgiuzman. This creator is known for posting animations of characters from Dragon Ball dancing to a variety of songs. In early September 2026, the creator posted a video of the character Jiren dancing that gained over 300,000 views in about a month.

In mid-September, TikToker @skobodo_tolot took several dancing Dragon Ball videos by @dblgiuzman and created a meme set to the song "it’s like i’m not even here" by Mthu. The TikToker continued to post these compilations over the following weeks and other TikTokers kept the trend going, with many latching onto the Jiren animation in particular.

How Is 'Dancing Jiren' Used In Memes?

Between mid-September and throughout October 2026, the animation of Jiren dancing became the most popular of the Dragon Ball dancing animations. Some TikTokers are editing the video in fun ways, most using the same song by Mthu. Others are performing the dance themselves, often next to the animation.

Some of the videos use a funny caption about being unable to dance or scared to dance, but succumbing to the beat of the song. The dancing animations have also been turned into GIFs and "sticker," which many TikTokers are posting in comment sections across the app.
