What's Up With Memes About A Drive-Thru 'Goonicide'? The Backstory Behind The Pantsless Bikini Bean Drive-Thru Video Explained
A man who went viral online for exposing himself at a coffee shop drive-thru in Arizona has become the face of what people are calling "goonicide" after he reportedly ended his own life earlier this week.
Arizona man Nautica Malone was put on blast earlier this week as a video of him going through a Bikini Bean Barista lane with no pants on went viral, with many internet users suspecting that this was not the first time he was caught misbehaving at the novelty coffee shop.
Just a day after the clip of the man driving off in his black Dodge Charger was shared across the internet, reports about Malone seemingly ending his own life began making the rounds on social media. The internet immediately began to crack jokes at his expense, calling his death the first "goonicide" of 2025, a play on the slang term "gooner" and the word "suicide."
Here's everything you need to know about the so-called "Drive-thru Goonicide."
What Was The Viral Video About A Man 'Free Balling' Through A Bikini Bean Drive-Thru?
Bikini Bean Baristas is a chain of novelty coffee shops not unlike your run-of-the-mill Hooters, with attractive women selling coffee and snacks through the store's drive-thru window. Around January 10th, 2025, a video of a barista approaching a man sitting in a Dodge Charger began spreading on Arizona-based meme pages like @itsallphoenix3, who posted the clip with the caption, "Dude just out here free balling drive-thru's."
The following day on January 11th, Twitter / X user @mjkjuice2 reposted the video with the caption, "LMFAO WHOS MANS IS THIS."

The video showed the barista approaching the car with her camera up and recording, asking the man, "Sir have you been here before?" The man responds, "Yes," right as the woman records the fact that he has no pants on. "Unacceptable," the woman says, indignant, "You have to leave." The man then peels off in his car.
How Did Internet Users React To The Clip Of The Pantless Bikini Bean Drive-Thru?
The clip went viral almost immediately, with many people turning it into a meme just the day after it was posted online. On January 11th, the meme page @allsportsculture reposted the clip with the caption, "Justin Herbert when it's playoff time," making a joke about the NFL quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers and gathering over 10,000 likes in four days.
On January 14th, 2025, the video of him going through the coffee shop drive-thru was reposted to the subreddit /r/PublicFreakout, where it gathered over 7,000 upvotes in a day.
When Did People Find Out That The 'Drive-Thru Gooner' Ended His Own Life?
On January 13th, reports that the man in the video committed suicide then began making the rounds online. Posts on a Facebook group called "Arizona Moms Helping Other Moms" were shared on Instagram and Twitter / X, showing an Anonymous Member reporting that they heard the news of his death from his wife.
News reports of his death also made the rounds on January 14th, referring to him as Nautica Malone, Ex-Central High School Swimmer.
Despite the Facebook user's conflicted feelings about possibly contributing to a man's death, other internet users were less sympathetic to his cause.
On January 14th, the Instagram[6] page @uleygod posted an XXXtentacion Half-Face tribute meme to the man, referring to him as "King Goon," gathering over 6,000 likes in just a couple of days.
Several Twitter users quoted a video sharing the news of Nautica Malone's purported death on January 13th, making similar jokes about him being a gooner. That day, Twitter / X user @thaboyjozu wrote, "n---- was so #GoonedOut he had to kill himself. It’s probably a lesson in this somewhere," while @brndxix wrote, "#Goonucide #OneLastGoon."
People also edited the man's face only fake movie posters, as seen in a post by @joshbechill5, who titled the fictional film "The Last Goon."
