As the woman approaches the man's window, it becomes apparent that the man is not wearing pants and is exposing himself. The woman then says, "Unacceptable, you need to leave." The clip began going viral on Instagram and Twitter / X on January 10th, 2025. On January 13th, news about the man, purportedly named Nautica Malone, allegedly committing suicide began making the rounds online, leading several internet users to joke about him committing "goonercide."

On January 10th, 2025, the Instagram^[1] page @itsallphoenix3 posted the video of a man going through a coffee shop drive-thru with his pants down, writing, "Dude just out here free balling drive-thru's." The video gathered over 13,000 views before it was deleted.

The following day on January 11th, Twitter / X^[2] user @mjkjuice2 posted the video of the man supposedly named Nautica Malone exposing himself at a Bikini Bean drive-thru in Arizona with the caption, "LMFAO WHOS MANS IS THIS." The video gathered over 120,000 likes in four days.

On January 11th, 2025, the Instagram^[3] page @allsportsculture posted the clip with the caption, "Justin Herbert when it's playoff time," making a joke about the NFL quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers and gathering over 10,000 likes in four days.

The video was reposted to Twitter / X^[4] multiple times in January 2025, as seen in a January 12th post by X user @GangHits that gathered over 13,000 likes in three days.

On January 13th, reports that the man in the video supposedly committed suicide began making the rounds online. Posts on a Facebook^[5] group called "Arizona Moms Helping Other Moms" were shared on Instagram and Twitter / X showing an Anonymous Member sharing that they heard the news of his death from his wife. News reports of his death also made the rounds on January 14th, referring to him as Nautica Malone, Ex-Central High School Swimmer.^[7]

On January 14th, 2025, the video of him going through the coffee shop drive-thru was reposted to the subreddit /r/PublicFreakout,^[8] where it gathered over 7,000 upvotes in a day.

Also on January 14th, the Instagram^[6] page @uleygod posted an XXXtentacion Half-Face tribute meme to the man, referring to him as "King Goon." The post gathered over 6,000 likes in a day.

Several Twitter users quoted a video sharing the news of Nautica Malone's purported death on January 13th, making similar jokes about him being a gooner. That day, Twitter / X user @thaboyjozu^[9] wrote, "nigga was so #GoonedOut he had to kill himself. It’s probably a lesson in this somewhere," while @brndxix^[10] wrote, "#Goonucide #OneLastGoon."

On January 17th, X^[11] user @RedLi8ning posted a GIF of the Goonicide video reversed, gathering over 12,000 likes in five days.

The trend also spread to TikTok^[12] in late January, as seen in a January 20th, 2025 post by @footjobconnoiseur that gathered over 600,000 plays and 100,000 likes in three days.

On January 26th, X^[13] user @alob_e tweeted a poster for a "gooneral" at the Bikini Beans Barista, gathering over 125,000 likes in a day.

On January 26th, X^[14] user @shinylunarstars tweeted, "This gooning shit is not real," gathering over 55,000 likes in a day. The video showed a group of young men holding a wake for the "goonicide."
