Stan Twitter is a powerful and organized internet community of Twitter / X known for its creative terminology while sharing opinions about actors, singers, rappers, athletes, and politicians.

Keeping track of all the slang and inside jokes of the community is an almost impossible task if you aren't diagnosed with the chronically online virus.

This article will cover the meaning behind Stan Twitter's popular catchphrase "Might I suggest you don't f*** with my sis".

Where Does The 'Might I Suggest You Don't F*** With My Sis' Catchphrase Come From?

"Might I suggest you don't f*** with my sis" is a lyric featured in the second track of Beyoncé's album RENAISSANCE called "COZY," which allegedly mentions Solange's (Beyoncé's sister) infamous elevator fight with Jay-Z during the 2014 Met Gala, according to unofficial posted by fans on Genius.

How Did 'Might I Suggest You Don't F*** With My Sis' Became A Meme?

The earliest viral post using the phrase "Might I suggest you don't f*** with my sis" was posted by X user @beyonceparkwood on September 24th, 2022, which captioned a photo of Beyoncé looking at her sister Solange Knowles after her infamous "Elevator fight" with Jay-Z in 2017, gaining roughly 3,400 likes in a year (shown below).

Moving into 2023, the phrase was adopted in a more humorous tone by the Stan Twitter community. For instance, in early June 2023, X user @bklynb4by used the phrase in memetic content (shown below, left). In late 2023, @bklynb4by picked up the trend again and gained increased virality, evident in a quote posted on October 19th, 2023, that received roughly 9,800 likes in one week (shown below, right).
