Why Is Everyone Talking About Candace Owens' Old Dating Profiles? The 'Candace Owens Lesbian Conspiracy Theory' Explained
A bizarre conspiracy theory about conservative political activist and pundit Candace Owens' personal life exploded across X / Twitter in late September 2026 after users claimed they had uncovered old online dating profiles supposedly connected to her.
The Candace Owens lesbian conspiracy theory centers on unverified claims that Owens maintained profiles on dating websites intended for women seeking women or same-sex encounters.
The allegations quickly inspired jokes and speculation that Owens is secretly a lesbian and had cheated on her husband, George Farmer, with women.
The supposed evidence largely consists of purported records from old dating-site data leaks, including alleged usernames, email addresses, locations and other information.
None of the profiles have been independently authenticated as belonging to Owens, however, and Owens has denied the allegations, describing them as "the most deranged" claims made about her.
So, where did the rumors actually come from, what evidence are people pointing to, and how did the accusations turn into a viral conspiracy theory online? Here's what you need to know.
Where Does The Candace Owens Lesbian Conspiracy Theory Come From?
The rumors began circulating widely on X / Twitter in late September 2026, primarily through posts from the account @EsoShaggy.
The account presented purported dating-profile information alongside other alleged personal details, including usernames, email addresses, locations and birthday references, claiming that the information connected several profiles to Owens.
On September 28th, 2026, X user @EsoShaggy posted an initial claim alleging that four dating profiles intended for women were connected to Owens and that she had cheated on her husband with women.
The post rapidly garnered virality and received over 16.9 million views and 25,790 likes in just a single day.

The claims centered on purported profiles using usernames including Candamo429 and Cdot429, as well as alleged connections to email addresses, locations in Stamford, Connecticut, and Kingston, Rhode Island, and references to April 29th as a birthday.
The allegations remain unverified, and reporting on the claims has noted that matching usernames, email addresses, locations or other identifying information does not independently establish who created or operated an account.
How Did The Conspiracy Theory About Candace Owens Spread?
After the initial posts circulated, discussion on X / Twitter expanded from the alleged existence of the dating profiles to broader claims about Candace Owens' sexuality and marriage.
