@Connor
Then you'd have hated certain points early in this threads' history.
I'll go ahead and post this to give some background as to why I'm more adamant about keeping certain things from dominating this thread. The tone of this post is certainly not in the spirit of Pony, and I am sorry about that. But it'll give you an idea of why I post and call out things like I do. And it'll give you a basis on which to say, "That's BS, and here's why:" In which case, I'll know to shut up.

Back before I made the KYM Pony Discussion thread, there was a concern about the first KYM Pony General thread. Pages got to where they would simply be devoted to a pony or a theme for pictures. Discussion was attempted within these threads, but they were ignored more often than not. It alienated those who wanted to talk about ponies on a Pony thread in a forum, forcing them to post in the Comments section of the article. Discussion had become difficult on a forum created where the main purpose was to discuss a topic. Furthermore, the thread occasionally had days where no one would post, because we had already found all of the decent art of a pony.
Â
After talking about those problems with the thread, I started Pony Discussion because I wanted to respect those who just wanted to post pictures. In the midst of the massive amounts of negakarma I received, the posters on KYM Pony General began to regulate themselves to limit images for each post, limit posts for each page, and to not have page themes. This was done to keep people from posting less meme-related posts in the Comments section of the FiM article and to keep a regular pace to the Pony thread which would help people on here to keep less meme-related posts out of the comments section.
That keeps MLP:FiM from dominating the Trending Bar all of the time.
That keeps people from being too annoyed with the active Brony community here.
That keeps sections from being locked as it has been before.
That keeps shitstorms from starting.
That keeps people from getting banned. I remember when a couple of users (by username) wanted to post in the comments just to spite the mods. It would have ended in bans.

I post images myself. On this thread. I don't have a problem with images. When I brought it up before, I posted an image Pinkie Pie leaving saying "I'm out" as a humorous way of making fun of myself for being more of a discussion-focused guy. I'm currently posting in the Beat the Picture Above You thread where images are mandatory. Â

I just don't want this thread to get to the point that it did before because of the problems we had before. And since many users weren't posting on the thread here before that time, I don't think they knew how previous stuff got started. Themed pages weren't the only causes, but they certainly played a role.
