New image and video galleries

Entry image and video galleries are located on separate pages now instead of within the entries, although you'll still see up to 12 images and 6 videos on the entry page itself. If an entry has fewer than 24 images or 12 videos then the ones displayed are just the newest ones uploaded. Otherwise it displays the recent top images and videos.

You can sort each gallery by upload date, comments, favorites, score, and views.

top scoring images of all time

top scoring MLP images of all time

Oh man, this looks really great, James. I love that it autoloads when you get to the bottom of the page, also.

The gifs still sometimes screw up in their previews, but it is a vast improvement.

So slow!
The thumbnails' file sizes should be obviously smaller.

You are kinda right. This is what I got when I used the Google Chrome Developer/Chromium "Page Speed" developer tool on the image gallary.

The only thing I'm iffy on is that the highest scored images show up on the page by default. I can see it being very good or very bad.
Otherwise, excelent job!

As much as I like the new image system and the customization of it, I think it would be better if the main article showed the Most Recent images instead of Most Popular. Or maybe there should be the ability to choose between the two on a entry page?

YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES.

The ones showing should be the most recent, not the most popular.

I think we should front-page this thread. People who are users but not regular forum-goers might be confused in the new design. Or, it might be nice to have a pop-up the next two weeks for other users.

Take a look.

Top images are dynamic if possible (top scoring in recent X number of days), That last image had some upvotes in that time period so that's why it was mistakenly shown. I've changed it so they have to have positive total scores.

If there are less than 4 top images then it will default to the top 12 images of all time for that entry.
