I think you're taking OC shipping a bit too seriously. Sure, it's usually dumb when a person makes an OC and ships it with a canon character, but it's not like we should tell them to quit it. Hell, I shipped my own self-insert OC with Breaburn in my totally ridiculous completely serious back story. It's all in good fun. I hardly see it as an ego trip to ship your own characters with canon, nor do I find it an insult towards other people's OCs. It's a person's own way of making their own character a part of the MLP world. Hell, your own persona is Fluttershy's frikin bunny, I hardly think you have a right to complain about other people's OC interactions with canon characters.

well the very first one was made by a big tittied mod (MegaMIlk avatar) and we discussed it as being a new meme. Of course we had trolls several of them over the years. But for a long time the thread went almost silent everyone posted in the entry and not here. Then all of a sudden people started talking here again. At one point I think we would go through 2-4 pages a day. We were kinda left alone here except for an occasional mod coming here to post and rules weren't as they are now. So let's just say since we never could post it here, we did a lot of links to real rule 34. Then we got mods who are bronies. Then we got bronies who TL;DR. Then we raped BSoD

Ah those days. That was around the time I first appeared. Pony general had so much action. Every page refresh contained a new post.

That was when Pony General 2 was ending and PG3 begun. But wasn't it PG3 that only lasted a month? We filled about 3 pages per day and PG3 was over in a flash. It was incredible. Or was that PG4?

I never stated he should quit with his OC or headcanon, just watch out on how often and in what scenario. I don't care if it's fun and games (have fun with your Braeburn shipping), but he takes his OC a bit more serious, and I simply continued on the previous discussion we had on this. Would that discussion reached a general "Lel don't care" conclusion with everyone, I wouldn't feel the need to make my post on the previous page.

As for Angel, that's just my avatar and not a persona. Depicting users through their avatar is common logic on the internet, I do not see how I am an exception. I simply run along what with what was given to me over time. If you rather see me as a flying taco, go ahead.

On this thread it's a more common issue than on others. Here we also have users openly complain about the fact that some pages are difficult to load. If those other threads were constantly lagging I would point it out as well. As this is not the case as often as here, it's not necessary to make those posts there.

You publicy stated before on this thread though that slow internet is a myth, so whether or not this can get through that thick skull of yours is up for question.

Anyone who thinks that slow internet doesn't exist needs to come down here to this country.

Indeed. We've already scared Fifths, Kewl and Owens off the thread. NSFW warnings weren't quite enough for them because the story still renders the whole atmosphere of the thread uncomfortable for those who aren't used to /mlp/

So as much as I'd like to see where the story goes, I'd be hesitant letting it go full throttle.

Still, we shouldn't disallow some stuff because others feel "uncomfortable" with it. It is hidden below spoilers and properly warned, so ok by the rules. We don't force them to read the fic.

I gotta go with Random here, simply because it feels like his original point was missed.
To me, he was not commenting on the concept of shipping OC with 'canon' itself (We already had that discussion a few pages back), but rather on its particular appearance in this situation.
BSoD was creating a collage of OCs for all the users here and mark has been creating a story following a similar vein, the major through-line being that both were all about OCs/avatars of users here.
The point Random was making, and that I agree with, is that it seems a little much to keep asking for the inclusion of your personal shipping into a situation that has nothing to do with it.
It's just unnecessary and against the intention of creating something in which the users interact.
Again, if everyone is fine with it, whatever, but it just seemed a little presumptuous to keep bringing it up.

Add me to the list of 'uncomfortable' people there, but it actually goes a little beyond that, too.
I mean, go nuts if you guys really want to, but for me and the others you mentioned there it really feels like this thread has ground to a near-halt over the last few pages in terms of entertainment.
I've said before that OCs really don't interest me very much and, while I don't mind the topic as a point of discussion, pages of people just talking about their particular OCs bumping uglies strays pretty far from the idea of discussing MLP:FIM itself and just leaves me pretty uninterested.
I'm now really looking forward to next Sunday's launch of EqG if only to give us something to talk about that is directly relevant to everyone's interests.

At the very least, could we find another topic that could run in parallel to this stuff so that those who don't want to participate can also have something to do?
The fact that some regular users have run away doesn't seem like it should be an invitation to continue unabated, but rather a sign that something should probably change to avoid alienating anyone from being involved.

Is the story a problem? I mean… I did leave behind spoilers (two, for each part), and I did warn especially NSFW on the inner ones. I wouldn't cross any lines (intentionally, honestly, because I really don't know where the boundaries are), and I'm glad BSoD can trust me and RM would let me continue, but if I'm uncertain on the limit, then I won't risk setting off a landmine.

Who am I to argue with the holy mods on what I should and shouldn't post? I'll stop writing it… but thanks for reading it up to here guys. For my first time writing something like this… it went a lot better than I thought it would, and I'm glad you guys were cool with it…

To say the least, I'm thoroughly disappointed in myself…
