So umm……who actually knew a person like Fluffle Puff back in Highschool? I knew some weird kids back then but none of them (okay, SOME of them) could never be as weird as Fluffle Puff.

Sure, Spike wasn't very much in character. Sure, we had no clue that Spike had a "code." Sure, Spike was very nearly incompetent.

But I thought it was one of the funniest episodes I've seen so far, the rest of the Mane Six had great interactions with each other, and Rainbow Dash ran herself into a massive mountain of rocks.

I simply could not ask for more in an episode.

10/10; One of my favorite episodes.

As long as the Mane Six get to interact with each other, then I'll be pretty happy. I prefer slice-of-life episodes more than anything else. I don't generally care what's going on in the episode as long as it's entertaining.

But I would like to see more of Celestia outside of the context of a world-threatening scenario or because she came to visit Twilight. I like her as a bit of an enigma (and I would hope Zecora and Luna's appearances leave something to the imagination as well,) but I would like to see an episode really focus on the princesses, at least.
 
I'm also hoping for more Dave Polsky.

Honestly, I'm kind of up for anything.

They're finally doing something with Scoots after three seasons of near-dormancy and I'm looking forward to it no matter which way it goes.

As for music, as long as they avoid the weird techno remix type of stuff from EQG, I'll be fine with the normal mix of rock, pop, and Disney-esqe tunes.
(Are we considering the Cutie Mark Crusaders Theme Song a 'rock ballad?' Because that was great! Not really a repeatable event though.)

I'd also love to see more expansion on character's families and histories, as well as general depth given to secondary characters, especially Celestia and Luna.

Guest voices are kind of iffy for me.
Andrew W.K. likes Pinkie, sure, but I can't see him voicing a children's cartoon, nor would I really be able to identify his voice if he did.
And anyway, we all know who the first guest appearance on MLP will be:

He's friends with Will Anderson (background music guy) so he's already got an in!
Even then though, bringing in guest voices of real-world celebrities may tread too close to the line of breaking the universe.
This isn't supposed to be Scooby Doo where famous people just happen to be showing up everywhere for no reason.

But yeah, nothing overly specific.
Mostly just give me 'more of the same' and I'll be happy.

…Then again… At this point we all know what I’d say for that… So maybe not?

(Then again, that wouldn't last long. Dave would take one look at Ponyville, pause while ignoring Pinkie Pie bouncing around him, utter to himself "this is so gay im out" and immediately time shenanigan his way out)

We have had very long meetings where we argue about things like what exactly might happen if a pony were to make fun of a Pegasus that can't fly.

I'm a little confused as to whether this actually is S4 spoilers, or just related to the comic, though. EQD says it has S4 stuff but I dunno.

I think the 'spoiler' of Season 4 has to be the one that involves talking about how one of the stories for Season 4 was similar to one of the comics they're releasing. Now knowing some Anti-Spoiler folk they don't even want a ONE SENTENCE summary of an episode of Season 4 (come on guys, I don't like being spoiled unless I'm intentionally spoiling myself like after the Breaking Bad series finale tonight because I'm already 3 seasons behind and I know it'll get spoiled to me no matter what tonight so why not spoil it for myself? but I was talking about one of the season 4 episodes (wasn't spoiling too much) and everyone started flipping their shit….all because I talked about a "Song" in Season 4.) so instead of dealing with a shitstorm or at least OUR definition of a shitstorm EQD said LOL SPOILERS ARE HERE DON'T LOOK!!!

Hell look at me, I'm deliberately trying not to mention how Rainbow Dash gets jealous after Fluttershy gets accepted into the Wonderbolts before her out of fear of people starting a /kym/ shitstorm over this!

I just recently cut my hair short (looks kinda like RD's) and so it would be an interesting parallel if the series were to include it's own short mane hairstyles.

I would love to see more princess related things in season 4, along with a lot of Mane 6 character interaction (similar to Spike at your Service, just without the terrible storyline), at least one CMC getting a cutie mark (I would love to see them all get their marks in separate episodes), Discord being used for something important (I was very surprised to see him not used at all in the season 3 finale) aaaaaaand anything about Twily learning to become a princess. More Shining Armor and Cadence would be nice too.

I'm actually surprised that AJ doesn't have shorter hair. She seems too functionally-minded to be keeping it that long with all the farm work she does.

Speaking of AJ, has anyone else noticed that her mane seems to be prehensile? How the fuck does that work? (Latent earth pony magic? Secret unicorn? Possession by the ghosts of her dead parents?)

I honestly think the one thing they did right with Spike at your Service were the Mane 6 all together and they were able to capture that Season 1 'Magic' that somehow disappeared during Season 2 when they decided to give episodes where it would ONLY focus on one or two members of the Mane 6. I missed those days so much, if it weren't for the dreadful first half of Spike at your Service I would…..well I'd hate it a lot more. Seriously, I was able to get through Mysterious Mare Do-Well all on the fact that I was convincing myself that they couldn't make a bad episode of My Little Pony.
Halfway through Spike at your Service on the other hand I learned my lesson and was about to actually turn it on…..but then the second half of the episode got good when Rarity came in (Then Rainbow Dash and then the rest of the Mane 6 arrived and not a single one of them were in the background!!!) and the second half of SAYS (Hey, that's a nice acronym) was just pure gold, but sadly that does not excuse the lackluster first half.

So yeah, little more Second half of SAYS and a LOT less of the first half of SAYS.

I kinda want to see an Earth pony be the antagonist in an episode. I don't mean like Diamond Tiara level, I mean full on season 3 Trixie sort of thing. It would probably be tricky to pull off, but it would be interesting to see some major conflict that wasn't started by magic. Bonus points if they stay as a re-occuring villain rather than just getting "cured" of their evil by the end… sorta like what they do with Diamond Tiara.
Essentially what I want is a more likeable, more threatening version of Diamond Tiara. That might be tricky though… she's pretty threatening already…

In all fairness, I'm the type of person who would start a /kym/ shhhstorm over this. I mean, I wouldn't have any problems with an episode about Rainbow not getting in, but Fluttershy getting in?

It would just feel too contrived, as in the only reason it would happen is so they can create a conflict for Rainbow to face. That's not how good stories are told.

COUGH COUGH I don't get why everyone likes Fluffle Puff so much COUGH COFF I don't find them all that funny or cute COFF COFFITY Plus I don't find the overly-fluffy thing aesthetically pleasing seeing as it makes their entire body one colour and makes it seem like they have no mane or tail COFFEE COUGH!

I just noticed how similar my style of posting is to DeadParrot's while still being just a tad different. I'm like DeadParrot with training wheels. Diet DeadParrot if you will.

If it makes you feel any better I'm not much of a fan of Fluffle Puff. I'll tolerate her more than most Fanimations (Except for Button….that's starting to grow on me just a tad) mainly for the fact that….it's just weird. But if anything…..Fluffle Puff just creeps me out more than anything, her maker just makes her so devoid to the point where you don't even think she's capable of speaking. It's just…..weird…….and to keep our sanity in check let's try not to explain how Flufflepuff, Queen Chrysalis and Dan are all living in Twilight's Treehouse….my head just explodes non sexually just a tad trying to wrap my head around that.

But yeah, I think it would be cool to see an Earth Pony be a major antagonist. It's like the show builds up Earth Ponies to be good only for farming and manual labor (or just sitting back and getting rich like the "Rich" family…..wow just think, Diamond Tiara's name is Diamond Tiara Rich…..really family? We get it, you're rich!) so it would be cool to see an Earth Pony use natural Earth Pony abilities like farming! and strength…………I think we may have to give him an army or something. Or maybe just a very Suave personality to the point where he can talk his way out of anything and get anyone to do anything he wants…..

I, too, would like to see that, as well as a alight 'balancing' of earth ponies in general.
Just from the way they are portrayed, Earth ponies feel like 'base model' ponies with pegasi and unicorns being 'deluxe models.'
Some exploration into the (as far as we know) non-magical side of society would be pretty cool and make it feel less like earth poines drew the genetic short straw, so to speak.

Not a clue where 'Dazzle' came from, but I think we can conclude that ponies do not follow human naming conventions.
I mean, Shining Armor isn't Shining Armor Sparkle now, is he?

Kewl also hit a big nail on the head about SAYS, too.
I was actually alright with the whole thing, but what really made it great was the way the rest of the cast was used.
Good scripts involving all of the main characters are sadly too few and far between.
It's the different personalities and how they all play off of each other that really helped pull me into the show in the first place and SAYS, for any other faults, did that very well.
Same reason why I really like Cutie Mark Chronicles as well.
The whole cast gets to share the spotlight with no one really upstaging anyone else.
Balancing all those elements into a single 22 minute episode is admittedly tough, but it works so well when they pull it off.
More of that please.

Anyway, yeah, I can understand people not being crazy about her, and in all honesty, her popularity might be a bit overblown.
As one of a very small group of OCs that isn't outright hated by the fandom, any praise she gets might seem magnified to those who don't really care.

For me, she's an entertaining little enigma.
She's more like a semi-sentient dog or something than a full-blown character but her vacant stare and tendency toward child-like activities and awkwardness is endearing.
She's just silly and weird and cute.
Not a ton of depth there, but it works for what it is.

Could she exist on her own, completely separate from MLP?
Probably not.
But she's a nice little side dish.

That'd be cool, although I don't think we've had a pegasus one either. Come to think of it, unicorns seem to bear the brunt of evilness (Sombra, Flim and Flam, Trixie, Sunset). Those horns and magic must do something to their brains.

Since no one else is talking about it even though Deadparrot listed it I think I'll start up the conversation.

@Man fired for being a brony. Are we sure that's the WHOLE story? Are we sure this story isn't like the one where some 'Poor, innocent child' was suspended from school for playing with an airsoft gun on his own lawn and tried to get on the news over that…..but when the school chimed in they filled in the part the kid and his family left out where they suspended him because he was SHOOTING the kids at the bus stop with his airsoft gun making them believe they were really shot. Because it just seems like the kind of thing people are doing these days to get on the news, "I got fired for being a brony! No I wasn't watching MLP during work hours or constantly bugging coworkers to watch the show while shouting LOVE AND TOLERATE all day and I DEFINITELY wasn't jerking it to R34 while at work. None of that, I was fired for ONLY being a brony!!! Now get me on the news so we may start a crusade against Anti-Bronies for this injustice!!!"

Cause seriously, this story just reeks of bullshit…..Oh well, judging by the 'response' from this it's quite clear the story will be forgotten about tomorrow.

In other news, I have gotten my 800th Upvote here on KYM (Minus the downvotes and it comes out to 730 Upvotes, still great)….I know, not a big deal but being the perfectionist/OCDfag I am just seeing two perfect numbers (You know, instead of 437 or 934) just…..it just makes me feel good and want to talk about.

I'm not sure if anyone here knows the artist Ghost/Art of the Pony. She was the mod of Stoner Trixie. I'm asking because she… recently passed away.

It shocked and saddened me when I heard the news because was one of my favorite artists. It hurt even more when I found out she was 15. That hit me the most. No one that age should die from heart failure. I wish her family and friends full condolences.

I remember Stoner Trixie – it was funny. How does someone die of heart failure at 15? That's terrible. Poor girl.

My thoughts on it: Not very much. I've seen plenty of BS reasons people got fired from jobs, and this is definitely not the worst one I've seen. I'm more angered by people getting fired for being gay or being framed for something that had no proof behind it. My father a couple years back got fired from the best job he had in years because of some bs a coworker framed him for. I'm more inclined on focusing on the people that get fired for reasons like this before I focus on a random brony being fired from a crappy job. I'm also going to side with Kewln00b and say I would like to dig more into this story before believing that this guy "Totally only mentioned MLP three times"

Applejack's parents: Yes. I think you should all know about my Applefagism by now, but I don't think a single person here would be against such an episode. If the show actually runs it in for the touchdown and says they're dead, I will gladly post a download for Pony General World.

More government bureaucracy/Parliament: This would be a great idea. I personally think that Luna is/should be the Prime Minister of Equestria, but Celestia still holds the most power in the government. Remember how I said that in my headcanon, Equestria is a mix of an absolute and constitutional monarchy? Yeah, this is like that.

Less one-and-done plot devices: With you there. Maybe Babs can be a recurring character that visits from time to time.
