What are these "lionks" you keep mentioning? Is it a meme, an inside joke, or simply an endearing character trait?

Every time I see it I always think of JESUS CHRIST IT'S A LION GET IN THE CAR. Related?

It's an inside joke.
On one of the submissions, I was trying to say "Links or it didn't happen", but I accidentally typed an O in between the I and the N.
The responses to the comment are what started the joke.
