For what I did:

Regarding games, I got a pretty good amount of amiibo: Fox, Zero Suit Samus, Meta Knight, Jigglypuff, Link, and the Squid Sisters.
I also played Fire Emblem Fates Revelation (unfortunately, my playthrough got deleted after I opened up the Badge Arcade with it fucking up my SD Card); in addition, I replayed Fire Emblem Fates Birthright and Conquest. I married Rinkah in Birthright and Severa Selena in Conquest, as for Conquest I had a much better run than my first playthrough.
I also got to play Pokemon Omega Ruby finally. I held off on it until this year because I heard polarizing thoughts on it. I just started playing it because I bought that Mega Gallade plush you see on my profile picture. I did enjoy it, but I'm thinking it's because I didn't play the original Ruby and Sapphire (I did play Emerald though, which I was hoping ORAS would have Emerald's post game).
And I finally got to play Bayonetta. I've been curious about the game before, but Smash Bros. made me wanna play the game after her inclusion in it. Really enjoying it, I'm currently on Chapter 5.

As for things I've watched, I've been watching some more Wakfu, currently in the middle of season 2. I actually wanna catch up on anime I've seen trending a bit, like Erased, Space Patrol Luluco, and Re: Zero; I also wanna catch up on anime that have been on my watch list for awhile, like Black Lagoon, Higurashi, Clannad, Watamote, A Certain Magical Index/Scientific Railgun, etc.

Going into movies, I've enjoyed a lot of what I've seen this summer, both in and out of theaters. Of course I started the summer off with Captain America Civil War, which is one of my favorite MCU movies to date.
Then came Finding Dory, which was pretty good.
After that, I saw Suicide Squad, and I'm in the camp that enjoyed it despite the flaws.
Then I saw Kubo and the Two Strings, which you guys NEED to watch, it is fantastic!
The last movie I saw this summer is Casino Royale from 2006. I mentioned how I wanted to watch the other 007 films since I only saw Skyfall so far, so what better way to start than with Daniel Craig's debut? I currently do have Starz, which is airing plenty of 007 movies right now, so I could check those out.

And finally, my life outside the Internet this summer. I actually got my very first job as a part-time waiter at an Afghan restaurant. Really good food but unfortunately I don't get paid by the hour; my only pay is in what customers tip me. In other words, it's under-the-table, which is honestly why I'm looking for another job. I'd rather be paid by the hour. At least I have experience now aside from volunteering at the hospital. My mom told me I should deal with it until another job hires me.
And speaking of my mom, we actually decided to send my grandmother back to the Philippines. My grandma lived with us for almost 7 years, and a few days ago my mom and uncle took her back to the Philippines. My mom and uncle will return in September, but my grandma will live there from now on--we felt it's the best for her. Honestly when she left, I was crying with melancholy. Just thinking about it makes my eyes all misty…

So that's my summer in a nutshell, what about you guys?

Well, I went camping with my extended family in the California redwoods. That was the highlight of the summer – I spent about a week all the way across the country with people I rarely see, in the midst of the redwood trees. Those things are massive man.

Another highlight was this. It might not seem like much to everyone else (especially those that love the "it's just a memesite" idea), but it was a huge amount of work, and it was a huge learning experience for me. I really learned a lot.

Oh, for a few days I also was the assistant to a camp nurse, for a camp that had diverse ages and people. I got to run back and forth several times over. I ended up with a shin splint for like two weeks, but that was an experience.

I worked a lot, went back home for a Cubs game, went to bufu upper Michigan and stood in the rain for like an hour and didn't catch any fish but I did get some bomb ass fish fry, tried dabs and couldn't move for like two hours, bought a $300 dining table because I have no control over my life, and went to a fair by myself to ride my fav carny rides because nobody wanted to go with me. & I briefly tried storm chasing because I wanted some cool lightning pics but it was fucking terrifying so I went home.

So that's my summer in a nutshell, what about you guys?

I also forgot to mention how I traveled by myself for the first time.
In July, I went to New York City on my own. I was wearing a Kill la Kill T-shirt (it's honestly best to wear graphic tees when traveling that way if something happens, they'll know what shirt you were wearing last), took a train from New Jersey to New York Penn Station (not gonna say the location in NJ, but just know the ride was an hour and a half long).
I went to the Nintendo World Store, which is where I bought the Link amiibo and the Mega Gallade plush. Then I went around the city, found the Radio City Music Hall and Jimmy Fallon's studio, went to Times Square and Grand Central Station (first time seeing it). On the way to Times Square, I don't know what the hell possessed me to accidentally pay 10 dollars for some street seller's "mix tape." I didn't even listen to it, I just hid it in my uncle's stuff to take with him to his new apartment.
After all that, I bought some Pizza Hut and Krispy Kremes and went home.

Games: I got into Dark Souls that was honestly most of it Dark Souls 1 and 2 and replaying 1 like 20 times. I did do some Xenoblade X, Hyrule Warriors, Monster Hunter X, and a teeny tiny bit of Federation Force near the end. By teeny bit I mean one day this week.

TV: Usually wouldn't include this but I actually got into shows mainly watching them like late at night since I have a lot of time and probably spent the whole day with games so might as well. I saw the entirety of Agents of Shield which was absolutely fantastic. I also became a weeb and saw 2 anime, one punch man and kill la kill. I hadn't really seen anime before. Well I saw dbz but that's like a free pass tbh. Oh yeah I think Daredevil Season 2 happened during the summer. And I finished The Office.

Adventuuuuure!: Went to Sea World, Nebraska, South Dakota (there I saw Rushmore, a cave, and lots of buffalo), and Arizona for family. Was pretty lit.

Other shit: Lots of college stress throughout I am not excited for college in the slightest it's been haunting me the entire 3 months of break. So much effort just to enter I can hardly imagine the actual work there.

And I didn't hang out with friends as much as I'd like because everyone had jobs and were also on trips. I had maybe 5-6 friend meetings max which even for me super shut-in is pretty puny for 3 months.

This was a super busy/exciting summer for me.
In early June I went to a Martial Arts camp over a weekend for some good training/exercise, published a new game (that didn't do as well as I'd hoped) republished an older game, got a wisdom tooth pulled, bought some good games. Finished an app I've worked on for 2 years, but also found out investors for a project of mine from Australia bailed out.

>waited for the local car plant to call me back for an interview to no avail
>did some shitposting in the meantime
>did more shitposting
>Played the shit out of Civ 3
>Played Monster Hunter Generations with my brother

That's about it.

I took driving lessons and I did my driving test, which I passed and I received my driving license. Finally took off my braces after several years and I am now wearing retainers. And I just made some GMOD and SFM posters and I also ported more Pokemon models to GMOD and SFM workshop.

I'm 28, so I did the same thing I do when it's not summer: I worked from 9 to 5.

The only thing specific to the summer that I did was play ultimate frisbee each week for a while with a group of friends, tried to get better at swimming at my old school's lap pool, and tried to get my stamina up through running a couple of miles a few times a week.

I'm going to take a trip to Ohio to visit some old friends next month before it gets cold. I went to Charleston, SC to visit a friend and to see the old cemetery out that way.

I played through video games, but those aren't specific to the summer. I finished Metal Gear Solid 3 (now having 1, 2, and 3 under my belt,) I just recently beat Persona 3 and am playing P4 now, I completed Bravely Default and beat Bravely Second.

And when I had a free weekend, I'd go and hang out with some of my old friends from college or high school.

But again, I'm the oldhead mod. I work during the summer more than anything.

I was supposed to take a Route 66 road trip with my father, but since he's broke and can't get a job, there was no major vacation. I just want to see the world, but we can never afford it. Instead, we had to look over a 12 year-old Beagle that used to belong to my mom's boyfriend's daughter, who couldn't take care of him anymore since she now had a child. He was a real pain since he would bully our own dog and would bark constantly. We had him for about 3 months before a series of seizures forced us to put him down. Also got into several arguments with my mother, mostly involving how she would have everyone only have water for a beverage at restaurants because she thinks getting something else it too expensive. She basically wants me to move out as soon as possible, but I won't get a job unless they let me wear what I want.

The only positive thing I can think of that I did this summer that was out of the ordinary was go see a movie. I went to see Pete's Dragon, and it was great; it had a lot of heart in it. It's a really different movie from the original though, and considering I really love the original it was only a little disappointing that I didn't see any elements from it in the new one. I gave it a 8/10 on IMDb, though I gave the original a 10.

Not dying of a heatstroke working in my welding job.

Other than just playing games, hanging out with friends on the weekends, and hobbying, not much else.

I forgot to mention another place I visited during my vacation. It is called the Mystery Spot. It is a tourist attraction where you experience some sort of gravitational anomaly where gravity is messed in a strange way. It was still a good place to visit and I extremely recommend you don't wear flip-flops at the Mystery Spot, trust me.

I'm sorry, but Gravity Falls just popped into my head when reading that. Where is that exaclty, that sounds fun?

Much of my summer's been vidya.

-Marathoned the entire Splinter Cell series because I was in the mood to replay 1 through Conviction, and I played Blacklist all the way through for the first time. It's weird not having Michael Ironside voicing Sam anymore but the game overall is good, combining the smoother character control of Conviction with the more stealth heavy gameplay of the earlier titles.

-Replayed Deus Ex 1 and Human Revolution in preparation for Mankind Divided

-Thanks to a bit of extra money I managed to acquire, I bought some stuff during the Steam Summer Sale like Metal Gear Solid V (both Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain), GTAV (I previously only ever played this game on the Xbox 360 when it first came out in 2013), and more.

-Participated in the final Splatfest in Splatoon and for the first time in a good while I was actually on the winning team, so a really good Splatfest to end things on.

Well, although my vacations were short, the big ones are to december until march (im peruvian), and that i didnt make too much things, i going out into the street to shopping malls and special malls (with niche things like comics, games and manga and anime merch) and eating nice fast food xd and some places that i like, play video games, specially old ones (sorry i have not too much new games right now), like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, in 2 or 3 days, lurked too much to the internet and watched Suicide Squad, i loved it, although this movie have some flaws, i enjoy it. And tried to practice some things of my career in digital animation. Well although i begin a new cycle of my college, i have only 2 days of class. maybe i make other things that i didnt in this vacations (like watching tv shows or cartoons or animes or playing more games or read comics) until the things will be serious in my college's career.

Went on a 10 mile hike on Mount Greylock and Mount Prospect in Massachusetts.

Went to Vermont, Maine, Pittsburgh and Martha's Vineyard.

Worked as an umpire for my towns little league.

Went to football training camp.

Got a GF

Also a lot of overwatch in-between.

Another thing I forgot to mention with what I did this summer:
I actually bought the whole series + OVA of Lucky Star on Blu-Ray/DVD. I love that anime, it's what got me into anime in the first place.

And ending off my summer is finally buying Overwatch (switched to low settings so it runs better on my computer), watched Space Patrol Luluco and Inferno Cop, and currently watching Re: Zero.

Stressed over if my family could move into a new house. Moved into a new house. Got back into Skyrim and enjoyed the living hell out of DOOM (2016). Watched anime and YouTube videos. Spent an absurd amount of time here on KYM. And slept and ate alot. Oh, I almost forgot, I also got back into metal (specifically trash, power, and heavy). :D

For where I'm from, I don't have summer.
But literally everyday is as hot as summer days, like an average of 31°C (87°F) unless it rains.

I don't do much, but over the past 3 months I did quite a lot of shitty videos, bought my first videogames on Steam, CSGO and Reflex, and slept very little for school. Three hours a day and a single cup of 3-in-1 coffee is enough for me, I've sunk into Aphex Twin levels of woke.
