(continuing)
Why do you hate ponies hence your title?
I was against the overrepresentation of pony parodies that was getting everywhere on the site back in 2011. I guess it amused James so much that he gave me that title. Now that ponies aren't as virally attractive, I'm more tolerant.
what do you do irl for employment?
I'm a paraprofessional (I guess that's the right word for that, "school monitor" seems less pretty) working both in middle and high school.
Any Youtuber you really like that they are your favourite?
and favourite food?
I have several of them but most are French, so you wouldn't know them.
BTW I'm subscribed to Alex Mercer, who does good remixes… sometimes.
What are your current thoughts on the state of your country’s politics?
How do you think the site has improved and how has it fallen?
Right now, with the new election, it's only starting so I'll wait until things are actually going down before passing any judgment whatsoever.
The site has its ups and downs, I'd say, but. Sometimes, the staff listen to their public, sometimes not but really, it has mostly greatly improved since I arrived here.
I don't think you can imagine how minimal the options for posting things were at that time.
Favorite Pokemon?
Which is your favorite Final Fantasy game?
Do you think the things that led to the rise of the alt-right could had been avoided? and if so how?
Boo me but I'm not a Pokémon fan at all. I mean, I understand its popularity and I remember playing one of the first versions on the black and white game boy back in middle school but that's it.
I'm what trolls would call me an "SJW" so, for me, a better appreciation of new ideas and theories that have evidence in sociology would be a good start, especially in educating how saying that there are more than two genders doesn't mean the strawmen we can read everywhere, or that actions that are considered "normal" or "for granted" may have actually any influence (however little they may be) in spreading different forms of exclusion at every level of society, and that pointing it out doesn't mean shaming those who do it.
But mankind, by definition, is culturally created to rush to uninformed conclusions and would rather attack what seems to be different than their perceived worldviews instead of embracing it. An alt-right is inevitable, an harmless alt-right, however, is possible, though difficult.
Do you think that this site nerds moderación un the comentarios section, specially un the controversial and political ones?
Do you think that the direction of the page is more focused to current events and trends than internet Phenomenon?
What do you think about the current memes comparing to the older ones?
What do you think about fandoms in general (specially the shennaningans of the current ones)?
What think Will improve KYM community?
Do you think that The RiffRaff was a good idea to contrasting the community itself?
He, I don't think so. I don't really see what you're talking about.
Current events are becoming a huge part of what the internets see as "viral"; We already had questions and mixed reactions from the community when we started posing that "flash-in-the-pan" phenomena and political/sociological/mainstream events may have a greater influence in what transpire on the internet. Not a problem for me. Really, Don isn't the specialist on controversies, we had some even before he was known as "MemeMachine".
Fandoms means fans, which means differences of opinions, which lead to shenanigans. I tend to ignore (or just roll my eyes) at communities that I don't really get into. That's it.
Memes are mainstream. It may be sad but just get used to it. There are now factories of it, following our societal need to market everything. That doesn't mean you should always rest in nostalgia. If you like a recent trend, be my guest
For the site improvement, more customization I guess, and more listening to the users. I don't know..
