If you don't like dailymail there are plenty of other sources. It's a real story.

And the idea that "everyone already knows" that they're stupid is bullshit. there are plenty of people that buy into this and I, for one like to be appraised of the stupid shit they come up with. They try to get traction behind these types of things all the time. And they win often enough that it's a concern whenever they try something else.

"The self-acclaimed community activist provided examples of common classroom instances where the said theory is played out.

Minorities 'have experienced microaggressions from participating in math classrooms… (where people are) judged by whether they can reason abstractly,' she wrote."

Why am I not surprised it went to microaggressions. Oh well, leave it to the person whose championing such beliefs to use such unfounded and unproven theories as her evidence.

She is NOT a good teacher but honestly people believe all types of stupid shit, I don't know why this is news feels like we are giving this people more fame so they can spread their stupidity.

I mean, I think people should be judged whether they can reason abstractly or not.

Reasoning is a fundamental skill in order to survive in the world. Without reason and logic, society can't function. Mental laziness is not something that should be excused, and in the job market will not get you very far, if a job at all.

Seems like her reasoning needs a little improvement…

You're beating a dead horse, everyone knows these people are stupid and no one except their own social circles likes them or their ideas.

That wont stop all the Youtube channels with cartoon mascots from endlessly talking about things like this because they make thousands of dollars from doing it.

Thank you. I was avoiding this thread because I was thinking the same thing. The SJW memes are so tired.

The sad thing is, as long as SJWs sound out loud enough, the SJW memes will continue to flow.

*As long as people keep making a fuck ton of money pretending to be smart by calling out oblivious crazy people that 90% of the population disagree with, the SJW memes will continue to flow.

Its really not that hard to deconstruct an extremists persons arguments

What the heck are “microaggressions”? And is the answer going to be something mind-blowingly stupid?

Math is the most apolitical subject taught in schools.

How? What even?

Because some people are logically and ethically retarded.

But in all seriousness, I have a question for this so-called “professor”…

Some people said outrageous thing to get their 5 minutes of fame and their message across, the media have a field day with clicks and rake in some dirty dosh. Just ignore them, you do not exactly go to insane asylum to listen to the ravings of the mad, you do not listen to those loons either.

She's a Professor! If you've got evidence that that was false or she got fired or something, fine. But otherwise you can't be dismissive like that in such a situation.

Whether she actually influences anyone or just wastes her students' time and money, neither result is good or acceptable and this isn't the only time such a thing comes up, even if it can get repetitive, it's not invalid to bring it up until it's actually sorted.

Sort what out? Is not like crazy people will stop being crazy and saying crazy things!

And that is where the rampant nepotism gets in the way.

So it's really not unreasonable to complain about and being dismissive of it the way YNG is ain't any good for anything.

But they WANT attention too! The anti SJW place them in the spotlight allowing their memes to spread and suddenly you have more crazy teachers.

Ignoring them won't get anything done either.
