Wasn't there an entire series of Smash Bros-related posters who bickered so hard and so often they all started dropping after a while?

I suppose Mr. Candles is talking about JJTheGamerGuy, Lizardguy, and Dragirby.

When Super Smash Bros. For 3DS and Wii U was growing in popularity, these three decided to spread some drama in regards to how the games should be played. JJ and Dragirby favored competitive play while Lizardguy favored casual play. They would be at each other's throats constantly with numerous users like C_Mill24 and myself getting caught in the crossfire. They were part of why the community was averse to treating Smash Bros. as a serious fighting game and did stuff like spamming the tiers r 4 queers meme and casually insulting the skilled players.

Even without the Smash Bros. related stuff, JJ, Lizardguy, and Dragirby's track records were spotty. JJ contributed to the Smash Bros. gallery's issue of being a dumping ground for anything Nintendo, Lizardguy was fond of generalizations of fandom, and Dragirby was all-around hostile.

If we actually do get Smash Bros. for the Switch, I hope there won't be drama as bad as when these three were around.

I miss Lisa, she may have been zealous and condescending at times, but she always backed up her points on political topics…and when it came to climate science s he was top notch. Ah well…C'Est la Vie

That was Bill Avony. The saddest part about was after he got banned he made an alt and used the same username and kept doing the sonic.exe thing. Needless to say he was banned again in about two days.

Yeah, out of all the banned users, I wouldn't mind if Lisa somehow came back. I mean, she was also a baseball and sports fan (Chicago based) and kept the sports topics alive.

Ah yes, Nebuchadnezzar. Don't know about you guys, but I actually considered him a friend before he went bad, so I sorta miss him. He started out ok but as time went on he started to get more vocal about his gore and necro fetish. I think he even spammed the image gallery with some images of that nature. When people started to become concerned, he promised that he'd leave and get help but it turned out he lied about that part and said it just for the attention. And when he kept talking about his fetish and continually spamming thr gallery, I think that was the point the mods decided to ban him.

I wonder if he finally got the help we wanted him to get.

Im of the belief that like, half of the shit nebu said wasn't true. He may have been a sick degenerate, no doubt about that. But i think a lot of it was just him trying to get attention.

I almost forgot to include a certain user: Bryan See. This user was making entries that involved something called Anti-Wikipedianism that were basically bashing Wikipedia and their mods. Despite the entries being well written, they didn't make any sense. Some of the things he posted were even copy and pasted from Encyclopedia Dramatica, so that definitely showed signs of BS. Aside from the one I already linked to, only one other entry is still available to see. I only hope the mods don't hide these entries too.

KyM when it was first started from what I experienced was A LOT more friendly and "user driven"

I'm aware that things changed when KYM went from RocketBoom to CheezBurger. But that was just the start.

Trust me, I took interest in this site (as much as former/current moderators) and I'ts really like a struggle of "etiquette" that certain Moderators they hold a judgement against how the site operates when in all reality any staff member should be delighted to see people actually using the site.

I kinda felt pity for Nebu. he was quite a guro poster, and he had a problem when not to RP about things, but I think he did it just to get attention in his life.

Surprised no one mentioned "Colin Mochrie", I didn't even notice him get banned, but he was about the same place on the political spectrum & behavior spectrum as Lisa Lombs.

He was one of the first to really shitpost hard about Trump as well.

There's only one remaining user who comes to mind at the moment, and that's ''I Am Melonlord''.

Melonlord was particularly angry about the My Little Pony and Pokemon lewds and would often complain to no end in the comments. He would sometimes shitpost as well. What made him a real troublemaker was his approach to enforcing the NSFW Guidelines. Melonlord was controlling and abrasive and would insult or harass other users over the lewd pics. He believed the guidelines were an excuse for hostile behavior and his exertion of power over others.

He was ultimately banned for harassment, and that seemed to teach users a lesson about how to deal with nsfw in an appropriate manner. Basically, don't be an ass and settle it peacefully. Just report to Image Cleaning or message a mod and they can do the rest.

Yo Adam, I'm not gonna hide those entries but you might wanna put them into archive.org if you want them saved for later purposes without having to worry about them being hidden, that site has been a godsend for med personally countless times

Man I miss lisa, she made political general an interesting place of differing opinions. She was mostly a right winger but she at least had a ton of valid articles and evidence to cite, and she was very informed in terms of the subject matter she tackled.

She was abrasive though, and it's a shame that she was the kind of person who'd try to trash the site after a ban instead of the type to wait the ban out and then come back bitter and sarcastic like most other sane people.

Politics General feels way less fun to participate in now, considering the kinds of people who now frequent it and dominate the conversation. And that I don't have the money to buy subscriptions to news sites to get articles to disprove someone and spend that much energy on arguing with someone on the internet.

Thenewalfmonster68 was never banned, just deactivated; so if it's the same guy it's perfectly legal. Your info is pretty spot on for the rest. We only suspended him once after the axe got burried because he apparently remained a dick after the rest stopped.

I do think the time that happen I was 13 years old or 14 years old from the time that happen

I remember two users that probably roamed around 2016 and months of 2017
One was Kooter with a defult avatar that spoke alt-right stuff and gets downvoted heavily
The other user was czar-, I only know the first part of his name since that his full username looks gibberish to the point that I cant even memorized it. He has a anime avatar that has blond hair or something like that. He also spoke some alt-right stuff to and gets downvoted heavily too
Both got banned probably in March 2017 or April 2017, idk
