That's a long title,I know but I want to ask to the "oldies" here about users who managed who've been here for like a year or even more but then they got banned.
I'm not really talking about shitposters but due to their behavior towards their community.One who comes to my mind is Hrom,I remember that one caused a lot of discussions and a lot of them were anything but good,but correct me if I'm wrong.

Hrom got banned for what exactly? As far as I remember he just made a lot of political arguments but nothing ban worthy.

Member Lisa Lombardo? She is critical, used to facebook comment before making a membership here, but I like her style though (amongst the shower of downboat) and that she did sometime raises legitimate points though, but most of the time… Let us say it is disaster one after another. Kind of strangely miss her yet at the same time not.

Most trouble makers tend to last a while. Mostly due to the admin's reluctance to outright ban anyone. The longest i think anyone's ever lasted was lez huarez, but that was less because people wanted him gone and more because of a policy change.

As for someone whom people wanted gone, epyc wyn. Just about everyone absolutely hated him, the only reason he lasted as long as he did was because he technically didn't break any actual rules. He was just unbelievably obnoxious.

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but wasn't Wyn the one that went on that hissy fit in the IRC where he attacked everyone? I remember him getting banned from the IRC, then the forums, then outright banned because he always felt like we were out to get him or something? I'm not sure about him not breaking rules because he did cause drama a lot, even after he got banned and went to ED, he was still causing drama for KYM.

Well thats the thing. He never really violated any rules of conduct, he was just really really annoying. His obviousness to his own actions only exacerbated the problem. And the truth is, yeah, we were out to get him. Like i said just about everyone on the site wanted him gone, that was no secret. Its just everytime he got banned the admins would overrule it. One instance almost made randomman quit the site if im not mistaken.

Pretty much all the infamous users (Wyn, Huarez, liberal_genius, etc.) You can't really garner infamy if you're banned a few weeks after starting. I'd say most of the bans were probably due to the "be friendly" rule. I'd assume there's a lot of slack given for it but as time went on and drama and arguing continued, the camel's back became too strained. Although I think Arcanine's ban was more because of mod drama than user conflict.

Also, reminder that LezHuarez literally did nothing wrong and still got banned. Even the mods admit it.

Well, Lisa's big thing was that she got suspended over something that ironically had little to nothing to do with politics and was basically so minor as to be debatable, but her reaction was to immediately make alt accounts to evade the ban and shitpost in the usual way folks that come back repeatedly to a site to mock it do. Rather than, you know, ask what the hell was up or just wait. And if anyone tells her, I really doubt she'd take the chance, this was the "napalm all the fucking bridges" sort of shitpostery that isn't often taken back.

As to more recent bans, all I remember were a bunch of blatant alt-right trolls who thought this was actually /pol/ and acted like it; got banned in… maybe a week or two. I think one of them came back a couple of days ago though, after the Amerimutt entry apparently hooked several of them to make accounts and immediately start posting bait so bad it barely even deserved downvotes.

I haven't seen the name American Tanker/Thomas Nair come up here, but he might be the best example one could think of. He started his account 6 years ago, but I don't remember when he was finally banned.

Dude hated My Little Pony with a passion back when it was still a growing phenomenon and often caused more trouble than was needed over a simple pony reaction image. He was banned for not being friendly, but that took a long time for us to actually do it. If I remember correctly, I deactivated him (I thought I banned him, but I don't see a record of bans for him), but it was a community decision after we had said he couldn't be disruptive anymore. He said he wasn't going to change, he didn't change, and we went with it.

In a way, it was similar to Lisa, but Lisa got legitimately banned for avoiding a suspension. Nair got banned for consistently breaking the same rule over and over.

But he was certainly a member of the community.

I think I said that, because I was wondering why he'd still talk poorly about ponies, because I didn't want to ban him, but it seemed like he was ready to be done with KYM. Maybe it was a mutual understanding that he was on his way out, one way or another.

Here are the ones that I remember:

LezHuarez was a shitposter that gained a following because of how notorious he was. Eventually the mods were tired of cleaning up after him, so they banned him.

liberal_genius was a political shitposter if I had to guess by the name. Saw him around for a bit, but I don't remember what he did exactly. I guess he was banned for the same reason as Lez.

Mother fucking Slime 'Cap, the guy who made the "I think we were a puddle of shit community" copypasta. I don't remember much about him other than seeing him around here and there, but I could tell he was just an overall trashy user. And I'm guessing that's why he was banned.

Emperor Palpitoad apparently liked to start shit with other users, based on what I know. He was eventually banned after many warnings and no change.

Papa Coolface was a just a shitposter that made threads people found funny, I guess. I'll admit I did. I'm guessing he overstayed his welcome and was banned.

Lisa Lombardo or LisaLombs was a user who was all about politics. She started out as a user in the Facebook comment section that appeared near the bottom of entry pages, then decided it would be fun to join the proper userbase itself. The arguments she made with other users gained her some infamy on the site (she was a right-winger on this mostly left-wing website). She then got suspended this one time and then made an account to evade it which resulted in her ban.

Epyc Wyn… do I even need to explain this one? TripleA9000 already did a good job at this.

And then there were the recent examples of Hrom and Lord of Trite which I expect you remember.

Then theres:
Pachirisu who was a shitposter who got banned and tried to amass an army on ED to raid us. (it went as well as you expected it would have)
Calculator Fetish was a shitposter who started out as a light chuckle to being annoying and ended up overstaying his welcome. Also infamous for poorly shopping a picture of a calculator onto a lewd drawing or regular pictures face.

And the mod I believe you're talking about is Arcanine. The way I remember it, he felt as if the userbase was being ungrateful to him in regards to his actions as a moderator and threw some sort of hissy fit about it. Since that the majority of shitposters has been banned over the past years, I'm guessing Hotsky (who is another shitposter but with communism) will be the next person to be banned if he decides to continue to be a dick to others

You guys are too young to remember Troll King. He started out as, you guessed it, a try-to-hard troll. At one point he seemed to have become a regular user, but that was just the beginning of his biggest act yet. In April of 2012, he came up with a contest for Forum President, and the admins took it so seriously that they ended up frontpaging it. About a month later, he posted a forum that was supposed to announce the winner, but he just said random things and refused to say who the winner was. He later posted a follow-up saying that the whole thing was all trolling, and that the admins threatened him to ban him unless he posted the results. He was banned shortly after that. He did manage to get unbanned eventually, though he is no longer active.

Eh, he's mostly just spams the image gallery with shitposting as opposed to constantly baiting in comment sections. As for being a dick, he hasn't really done enough to warrant it.

Can't remember if he ever got banned, but does anybody remember thenewalfmonster68? One thing led to another and one of his pieces of "art" was uploaded to the Cringeworthy image gallery. After it became a running joke he made an account on here to defend himself and was blown the fuck out of the water by the userbase to the point where mods had to step in. The fact that he was obviously a child didn't help him whatsoever. Also, not a person, but shoutout to the damned Herculoon meme.

If Lisa had only just waited for the suspension to lift, she would probably still be here.

Lisa and Wyn were both folks where Don at some point mistrusted the mods and we got into beef over.

- One remained such a pain in the ass after the ban that Don now shares our opinion.
- The other he banned himself.

Care to explain why? Aside from bickering a lot in threads; opinions do started plenty of arguments (fights) which I myself also do participate (especially about politics and some other matters) and make things worse; hanging and spending too much time in this place, which I am self-aware to a certain extent and should see myself out for a long while and take a break.

You have no idea how much I want access to that. Some of the best hillariosities of KYM is kept in there. Classic crap made by users like RockNRollRainbowJew and that one Serbian user who kept insulting Kosovo.

Does anyone else remember this guy called BearGlitch1? He was this commenter who seemed to be always active on the site and may or may not have gotten into some arguments a few times. IIRC he'd always show up in the comment section somewhere until he was banned. Does anyone know why he was banned if they remember him?

Had me startled there quite a bit. I thought I raised enough arguments and bickering to warrant a potential ban. Well, Poe's Law is at full-time maximum in this current time-line.

Yeah. Long story.

The short version is that he had serious anger issues and a propensity for having meltdowns over monster girls or some shit. He frequently antagonized certain fandoms so much that I started getting spammed with requests to warn or suspend him.

I got so sick of it that at one point I started forwarding all of the requests to RandomMan and the suspensions started accumulating resulting in a ban after several months. He wasn't one of those "beyond saving" users but he had obvious problems that he couldn't get over, compounded by a memesite addiction.

I have thousands of messages in my KYM inbox but I'd say about 5% are related to him with how many complaints I was getting at one point.

So I'm not sure if he's still around or not but does anyone remember RandomVids? He never got banned, but i though it was odd how long he lasted on this site given his odd behavior.

For the most part he was a relatively unnoticeable user up until his little "episode" during the 2015 No Fap September.
During which he originally joined up with the contest, got mocked in the Riff Raff Coverage of No Fap September, found out he was getting mocked, proceeded to get seriously butthurt and defensive over it, continually dug himself a deeper hole for RR to torment him with, backpedaled SUPER hard and then started to act like he was a part of RR all along, and finally after like 20 days of drama slowly got ignored, and was never really noticed again afterwards. Oh and somewhere along the lines deactivated, but then lurked on an obvious alt. account acting like we didnt notice it was him until he reactived his main account.

TL;DR He was incredibly clueless at socializing, caused alot of drama for himself, and had an tendency to overuse the phrase "cringe" in like ever post he made.
All things considered you'd have figured he would have gotten banned soon or later if he didn't eventually learn to shut his mouth, and not reply to every attempt to bait him.

I remembered there was an arrogant anti-brony in Know Your Meme who tends to post baity comment. He later mutated into replying "RUN! IT'S SONIC.EXE!!!" for every user with a Sonic avatar. Eventually, the mod caught up his obnoxious behavior and banned him. The only reason why he didn't get banned earlier was that he isn't here too often.

There's also Dragirby, but I personally don't have too much history about him.
