Trump will be impeached

Nah.
People betting on whether or not he gets impeached place the chances of him getting impeached during a first turn at about 30%, if he does something really fucking stupid that'll be what causes it.
IF he gets a second term his chances of getting impeached are about 90%, but it is unlikely he'll get a second term; in order for him to get a second term Democrats would have to do something really fucking stupid like if they put Hillary on the ballot again.

There are 3 constants in the universe: death, taxes, and Hillary will never be elected.

  • Now that Trump has acknowledged Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the Middle East will be in terrible chaos. Expect a war there.
  • North Korea will fire more missiles.
  • Mainland China will complete the takeover to Aomen … which still tags the name Macau for the rest of the world. Hong Kong will follow, just not in 2018.
  • Kadokawa will do more shit to Kemono Friends.
  • Qatar will be deprived of the right to host the 2022 World Cup.

I hope at least one of them turns out right. The last one, especially.

Bitcoin will experience a massive drop in value due to a bubble burst. People will sell in large quantities and wonder how they thought Bitcoin could ever work. Then it'll bounce back and stabilize and people will wonder how they were ever foolish Enough to lose faith in Bitcoin.

  • Hillary voters will still cry "She should have won" every single day
  • 2016 elections will still be talked about, Russia conspiracies included
  • The Donald Trump entry of this website will get other 200000000 Trump memes, each one for every single thing or phrase he does or says
  • Kim Jon Un will die or a war between America and North Korea will happen, even if it's short
All the rest will remain the exact same until 2020.

Why is everyone predicting the middle east is going to go berzerk over the Jersualem thing? Aren't you guys paying attention at all to the region? You realize that the gulf-states have essentially abandoned the Palestinian cause when Obama decided to sign the nuclear deal with Iran? You guys realize that there is currently a proxy war between gulf-Arab states and Iran? What's out: Jew hatred. What's in: alliance with Israel.

Literally the only people that care so much for Palestinians are Europeans, Turkey, and Qatar. The most relevant Palestinian today is DJ Khaled.

-Either Jimmy Carter or Queen Elizabeth II dies.
-Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi finally dies.
-If North Korea decides to participate in the Winter Olympics, it will calm tensions between the North and the South.
-…but tensions will boil up again once the Olympics are over.
-ISIS will finally be defeated, but the war in Syria will continue.
-Trump does some more shit that stirs up both the left and right.
-Another terrorist attack will happen and people will still argue about guns.
-Memes become a lot more funnier, absurd, and offensive.

A chain blocking education service rolls out changing education for the better globally. Dictatorships, authoritarian regimes collectively lose their shit and threaten to bomb the company.

I predict that automation will start to boost the economy yet seemingly paradoxically cause employment to go down slightly and governments will start to consider options to maintain employment (Mostly because I think self driving cars will start shipping late of next year though that may be too "optimistic"). Also Luddite movements and anti Luddite movements will start to reemerge but will be pretty level headed until I believe the 20s.At the beginning the effect of AI will be almost negligible and I think we will start to feel the changes more during the 2030s however this could improve the world and be the key to fight global warming and resource depletion or be the final coffin for humanity as in addition to the other problems will face in the future. I am hoping for the best.

@NO
In the USA automation is actually doing that. Factories are starting to come back to the USA cause ironically it's now cheaper to make goods in the usa than in slave factories in authoritarian regimes.

That whole topic politically:
"Well those countries can just reduce wages in those countries to compete against robots"
"Bitch those factories in those regimes use slaves and they still can't compete"
"Well they can just reduce wages"
"Are you fucking retarded? Those countries are using political prisoners for free labor. Those workers ain't getting shit so you can't reduce wages any further"

@YourHigherBrainFunctions What would you recommend?

Edit: I really don't know what can be done about this changes, I am tempted by basic income (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_income ) but that would require us to heavily increase taxes which is usually not good for the economy, at worst disastrous. But at the same time I really doubt capitalism or whatever will just magically solve this problem counting how employment rates are NOT increasing since a while ago.

  • At least one of the top ten worst mass shootings in United States history happens (until the next one[s]).
  • Something happens that leads to at least one prominent Republican explicitly saying that President Trump should resign, is promptly mocked by Trump on Twitter
  • More famous people are accused of sexual misconduct and are forced to resign/ fired.
  • A more mainstream backlash against people accusing other of sexual assault.
  • Many people outright dismissing the ruling on Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission no matter how it comes out.
  • More breakouts of vaccine available diseases in the United States due to lower vaccination rates.

As for less real life stuff

There will likely be an increase in the surealness of memes. Think of trying to explain deep fried memes to someone in 2009, and add that to where we're at now.

Some relatively obscure internet paraphilia (maybe something that already exists but doesn't have a KYM entry yet) will explode in notability (likely for worse rather than better but who knows).

A country people tend to care about undergoes an unexpected regime change.

Either the trump russia allegations get serious, or 2018 will finally have an event in american politics that takes the spotlight off trump for an extended period of time. Even the sexual misconduct stuff leads to people referencing the Trump sexual misconduct allegations.

I really doubt there are many people in the world with decent knowledge of the Russian government.

That the Russian government would outright fake the elections seems pretty unlikely, as it is counterproductive. Plus, in contrast to Belarus where Lukashenko wins with incredible numbers, Elections in Russia are won with very modest numbers and a relatively low turnout.

Are you implying that Zyuganov should have won in the past? Indeed, one election where there were some very serious allegations was in 1996, when the commies supposedly won, but Yeltsin still got the presidency. I don't think Zyuganov winning against Putin is realistic in any of the more recent elections. They were a much stronger political force in the 90's. Anyway, if you have any credible materials regarding the "fake elections" I'd be very interested in doing some reading.

From an entertainment perspective
-Kingdom Hearts 3 will be pushed back to release another 6 months
-massive anime streaming services will get a run for their money if Net Neutrality is canned
-Capitalist Ghost will have a heart attack while on the air for his Radio Graffiti calls
-Youtube will have another wave of an adpocylpes causing more of a rift between the content creator and the company
-“illegal” (Kissanime, Kissasian, Kisscartoon, etc) streaming sites will be shut down if Net Neutrality gets canned
-There will be another gaming controversy pertaining to some guy releasing a game that’s on par with Hatred for sheer edge factor
-Knowyourmeme will sadly shut down if Net Neutrality gets canned
-4chan will be shut down because some Anon on /pol/ does something stupid of the astronomical level
-Roosterteeth will announce that Red vs Blue will have its final seasons and have a series finale some time in 2020
-Cross Play will be announced on PlayStation, XBox, and PC
-Lootboxes will be forced to show the rates of the items that drop to prevent the governments from forcing by them to cut back on it
-HWNDU Season 8 will take place in NewYork City again

  • Trump-related articles will pass 300 on KYM
  • The Kurdish Question in the middle east will spark a new conflict to replace ISIS
  • NK will do an above ground nuclear test to continue the sabre rattling
  • Wow it's fucking nothing will continue with regards to the Israeli-Palestinian peace process
  • Britain will complete brexit. Everyone will be pissed off because it didn't remove them far enough from the EU or didn't keep them close enough.
  • At least ten more Congressmen will resign due to sexual harassment
  • DC will continue to fuck up its cinematic universe
  • Disney will buy Fox and announce a dozen new Marvel movies
  • Despite net netrality getting repealed, nothing will actually change. People will proceed to blame slowdowns and not getting their full mbps on it despite those things happening regardless

  • The AT&T antitrust verdict will get appealed to SCOTUS.
  • Bitcoin will crash below 5K

One of these is not like the others.

Black Mesa: Xen will be delayed (again)
more tumblr drama
WW1 related memes cuz 100 year celebration of 11/11
more youtube drama
Infinity wars was actually a set-up for another Marvel movie all along
more KYM drama
at least 20 new trump memes
more twitter drama

There will be some sort of video game crash as AAA companies begin to find their monetary system unsustainable especially if they make lootboxes illegal. While eventually AAA will rearise 2018 will be the year of indie games.

This isn't really a prediction for 2018, but chances are the Japan Olympics having anime mascots in 2020 is going to cause anime to boom ridiculously.

Rest of the world, "Google what is this anime thing and why does Japan having a girl in a school uniform as a mascot talking about 'moon prism power'?"

>Another Avengers film will come out.
>Another CoD game will be published and promptly bashed by the internet.
>North Korea will "test" another missile.
>Another company will be bought by Disney
>Pot will be cracked down on with new FBI restructure.
>Some kid will die because his mother was an anti-vaxer.
>KYM will end all meme productions.
>The internet will die anyways thanks to the loss of net neutrality.

>Reddit's apocalyptic predictions about Net Neutrality won't come to pass
>TF2 will go without a major update, but won't lose many players
>Some new shooting, some new natural disaster, some new war, and some new epidemic will occur, not necessarily in that order
>Concealed Carry Reciprocity will pass, allowing law-abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons anywhere in the US
>The UK will have a full Brexit, someone will be disappointed about it
>President Trump will tweet some more, someone will be disappointed by it
>Overkill Software will end support for Payday 2, but will also release their Walking Dead game
>NASA will begin plans to go back to the moon
>Alternative energy will make great strides in the private sector
>Zimbabwe will still be a shithole, but slightly less of a shithole
>California will still be a shithole, but slightly more of a shithole
>some indie game will get very, very big

- A celebrity I admire will suddenly pass away.
- A game I've been looking forward to will end up disappointing me.
- A game I had no interest in ends up becoming my game of the year.
- We'll go to war with North Korea… sigh
- Net Neutrality will be saved, only for something else that could again jeopardize our internet freedom to randomly emerge. That's just how it is.
- Minnesota still won't make up its damn mind about how severe it wants its weather to be.
- An anime with a unique concept will become popular for a single season before petering out during the following months.
- Trump will say something that becomes a meme (x103)

You Really are Naive aren't you? if Putin isn't putting some illegal methods to put himself in power and it's just coincidental someone manages to win each 'election' he has, why the fuck has he been IN power since the early 2000s? ya sure that's not a teeeennnny bit suspicious

Things will always get worse.
The state of this site definitely isn't going to get any better.

Not really; murder rates are down in the west, rape rates are drastically down, poverty is down, literacy rates are up, there's only four major wars currently two of which are close to ending.

Call me a dick, but honestly I think the reason why people think the world is ending is that they want the world to end cause they see how the world is turning out and they do not like the direction the world is taking. If you told someone thirty years ago what the world of today would look like they would probably consider it a nightmarish technological dystopia.

Let's see what could happen in 2018:
-Nintendo Switch still going strong and will release more strong titles, maybe like:
--Super Smash Bros 4 port with more content
--Pokemon

-EA eventually going bankrupt

- and more weird memes

Nintendo makes more pg-13 games, causing people to go "BUT NINTENDO IS SUPPOSED TO BE FAMILY FRIENDLY!!!" not realizing they dropped that slogan years ago.

There's only thing I know for sure: the elections to choose a new president in my country will be a complete shitshow, if not already are.

Wake me up when september 2018 ends plz.

•Capitalism in the creativity side of the internet will one day plummet harder than the Great Depression and 2007–2008.
•General variety within KYM for the 10th year since it started. (I left this website for a while to see if it makes any difference, it's somewhat more or less when I come back.)
•Growingly common cases/reports of internet usage prejudice from website blocking to intentional throttling since Pai pulled the plug unless lawsuits will follow, win and help Google Fiber to spread nation-wide.
•National Film Registry declaring the induction of Video Killed The Radio Star and Me At The Zoo. (My Favourite Prediction!)
•Real breaking news of Russia admitting that they got involved.
•TV viewership of Harry-Markle Wedding will be all-time high.
•2018 FIFA World Cup will one day potentially gone mad.
