Post the multiple profile pictures you've had over the time you've been on this website, if you want, you can also add an explanation as to what it is and/or why did you choose it.
All right then, here are mine, follow my example.

1st. A scuttlebug from Super Mario 64, I chose it because it looked cool and because of the whole Pannenkoek meme thing.

2nd.A GIF of the pokemon Dunsparce, one of my favorites, I thought it looked cute, so I chose it.

3rd. An image of the character Cain, from The Binding of Isaac, my favorite game, I liked the simplicity of it.

4th. (Current) An image of Isaac during the final ending of TBOI Afterbirth +, I think he looks really cute here, and the sad face reflects my state of mind right now a bit more.

I think they all weirdly give off the vibe of just being "some buddy", you know what I mean?

It's not all of it, but these are the ones I still have saved somewhere.

1st: Not my first profile picture (it's my second), but the one where I got the name "Eris" from. I've explained this before, but I used this as a placeholder AV and decided to use the character's name (her name is Eris) as my username, and while the picture stayed around for a while, the name still sticks.

2nd: Fanart cropped just to show the face. Originally, right side up, but turned it upside down for April Fools Day 2015 along with my name (which some might remember seeing me around as "sᴉɹƎ" at the time). It was originally supposed to be for one day, but it stuck for a while before deciding to change it back.

3rd: A different photo of Eris to change things up a bit.

4th: A different character from the same webcomic Eris is from. This photo is still used as my profile picture for Steam, and I even still have a Christmas version of this pic where she has a Santa hat on. Might use that this year if I don't have anything else. This is also the photo I used before changing it to my current profile picture.

Here's the original Tweyelight avatar I used from 2011-2013. The image is a panel from a comic by an artist named Terry, who's known for his exaggerated facial expressions and bizzare anime crossover comics. In the comic, Twilight is linked to Kingdom Hearts hentai and that's her facial expression. I laughed at it and decided it would make a good avatar, so I cropped the panel and started using it.

Then Twilight became an alicorn in MLP and the image was no longer accurate. At first, I tried to find a different Terry comic with her as an alicorn in it, but then I realized the original was done in a very simple style, one that's easily editable. So I fired up Photoshop and added wings and regalia. Since nothing else has befallen Twilight in the show, It's been my main avatar ever since.

Right around the same time, it became popular on Fimfiction (the main MLP fanfic site) to add a santa hat to your avatar during the holidays (swtiching right after Thanksgiving). At first, I used a clipart one, but since it looked bad, I swapped the crown for a santa hat and adopted the tradition on KYM.

A few years later, I added some festive garland to give it some extra contrast.

The most recent edit was last year, where in a fit of boredom I elected to make a Halloween version to use during the month of spook. It was a huge pain in the ass to do the skellington with the enormous eyesocket (which kind of resembles a grim reaper cloak), but I really like how it came out and intend to use it every October.

1st: It's the thumbnail of the second entry I made.

2nd: The first one where I used my real face was one where I decided to use goggles that came from a NERF set because I thought it would look cool (I was 18, don't judge me).

3rd: Next I think was me posing in a chair holding a Wiimote.

4th: After that I started to use photos with pictures of Pokémon spliced in. The first one was with an Emolga; however, I have since lost that picture. The next one was with a Zorua, and I was wearing a leather overcoat that I got for Christmas one year.

5th: Next one featured my all time favorite Pokémon: Riolu. I was hoping at the time that in the anime it would become a protagonist's new partner, but of course that wasn't the case.

6th: I then decided to feature my team in White 2 because I wanted to show more than one Pokémon. I was holding a pointy umbrella at the camera to seem threatening I guess.

7th: When Gen VI was well underway, I updated it to feature the new Pokémon I liked at the time. I wore the black scarf because I thought it would look epic (wish there was wind blowing though).

8th: My current one updated for Gen VII. This was the best pose I could think to do at the time.

Bonus: Some temporary ones I used for Christmas, Halloween, or Spirit week. One is from Christmas of 2003, one has me as my alter-ego: Heath Ledesma, and then there's also one where I "stab" one of my most hated celebrities.

I've only used two images in the entire time I've been here.

1. I was a resident of GameTrailers at the time of its "Golden Age", however, like all good things that come to an end, there was an exodus and I ended up here using the exact same image I used back then. Being a fan of the Turok series, I chose one based on the logo of the second title which I consider my favorite game of all time: Seeds of Evil.

2. It's the current picture and, once again, it's related to Turok 2 (promotional material this time). I haven't changed it in a loooooong time, and I don't think I'll change it for the long time coming either. It just fits, you know?

There's actually one I forgot to add because I wasn't sure if I used it for a profile picture or not, going through an old forum confirmed it was though.

This was to go with the short-lived meme that got deadpooled and I thought I might do one myself at the time. I would also like to give special mention to user thatdancinglugia who found this image on my DeviantArt page and posted it to the Cringeworthy gallery, while also saying in the image's notes that the stuff I was posting there wasn't art and that I was lying about my age. Luckily I caught note of it and requested that the image be removed from the gallery.

All made by me, and I often switch to each one every once in a while.

They're all pink because I did the first one pink out of irony, but then I started to like the color pink after a while, so that's why the pink-ness stuck.

Well, now that I've actually had a few,

Sorin art from MTG was first.

Left for about two year, came back and changed it to Reed from Dust: AET.

Decided to get spooky on Halloween.

Joined a guild this year that uses Discord instead of Teamspeak, so I had to finally make the move. I took some self-portraits for the avatar and settled on this one. Thought to myself, "Hey, Halloween's over, I like this image, let's try it on KYM."

Other profile pics I had in no particular order:
1) Cropped porn AV of Satsuki Kiryuin. Probably my first non-"Eris" AV that I used outside of Spirit Week. I thought it was perfect for cropped porn AV and I wanted to draw attention.

2) Matching AV's with NON. Just for fun.

3) Matching AV's with Artyom and Gekikara. Just for fun.

4) 2hu Matching AV's Thread. Just for fun, also Captain Murasa is one of my favorite Touhou characters.

5) Provocative picture of one of Akairiot's OCs. I really like this pic just for how provocative it is.

6) My current AV, a shot of a crying girl from an obscure Nintendo DS game I played when I was a kid.

Here are the major ones.

#1: Farm Zombie Classic

This is the first avatar I used after joining KYM. At the time, I was still a brony, so I chose the background pony Lyra Heartstrings giving a funny expression from…this image. It was a different time. I kept this one for about a year and was hesitant to change, but my waning interests in MLP eventually led me to another.

#2: Six Nine So Fine

Pictured is the character Yuudai Chiba from Mitsudomoe, the only anime guaranteed to feature at least one pedophile joke every four minutes. Something about my avatar being a perverted Japanese middle-schooler with a 69 hat just makes me happy.

#3: Clown Motel

One memorable night, Vinny from Vinesauce steamed himself using an Image-to-Image program which let him create realistic images of whatever buildings he wanted. Early on, he drew a face, which resulted in the above image. He called it "The Clown Motel." It is horrible and I liked the idea that it would creep people out every time they saw it.

#4: Glitch Yuri

Doki Doki Literature Club was one of the few times I was an early adopter of something popular. It's a truly clever game and this image was one of the most memorable moments to me.

#5: Degraded Dink

Similar to the Clown Motel image, Vinny was streaming the Pix2Pix program, allowing him to turn his drawings into realistic faces. Chat request he draw Mr. Dink from Doug. This profoundly haunted image was the result.

#6: Sega Saturn

A single image from the greatest video game advertisement ever created. I was one of the lucky few to receive it in the mail as a child, though I have never owned a Saturn.

#7: Redd Greene

My RWBY OC created for Spirit Week.6. I'm pleased with how this one came out and think I'll keep it for a while.

Video games, anime, and ponies. My family is proud. Keep in mind that after I change my avatar, I sometimes keep the old ones around for accounts on different sites, so Chiba and Yuri are still around elsewhere. This lets me keep the past alive.
