So a question, for mods because it keeps constantly happening
have you attempted an ip ban?
do you know if it’s the same person?

And a question for everyone else, do y’all know how long this has been going on?
from what I can recall we’ve been having someone spam porn every few days for like the last three months

Obviously the same person. I'm not so sure if VPN could allow him to go around the IP ban.

EDIT: I've seen several instances of this shit that most of you guys pointed out is the same loser. I don't even know the exact origin of this "drama". Can any of you guys give a quick brief history of this shit?

Yes, all bans are ip bans.

do you know if it’s the same person?

Yes, they've posted in the forums before saying they'd stop spamming if we unbanned them (presumably their main account?)

VPNs are probably banned. At least, when I tried to access this site with Tor, it wouldn't let me

VPNs do work, but a lot of public proxies have been banned. Thing about IP bans is, most people have dynamic IPs that get assigned to them by their ISP when needed. You might ban someone only to have their IP change. The account will stay dead, but they can still make a new one with a different IP.
Our only real option here is to deal with the problems as they occur.

What about laxing our laws about posting porn? What about posting porn but with a NSFW trigger warning? Just like twitter. If we do this maybe we could compete with them. I feel this site is more free of idiots than twitter but the fact they delete even the less sex related images makes me unhappy. At least you ban IP's just like twitter does.

This site would turn from meme documentation to Rule 34 2: Electric Boogaloo overnight if they did that.

Yeah. I'm not advocating for a free all porn KYM cuz it would lead to disaster. Just more lax laws. A new NSFW warning for porn pictures or something like that. I mean twitter is lax with porn and isn't a rule 34 site. But twitter is a really different site than this too. Maybe banning all porn that is not meme related or something like that. I better let the guys who run this site make the new rules I just avocate for the idea. Because dude i once posted non-explicit image and they delete it for "too explicit". It's a mess.

I do not necessarily agree with this since FunnyJunk did exactly that and nothing really happened and NSFW content is actually very scarce there (and if anything, you could argue that there is enough softcore content out there fot that to happen already as it is, but it has not), but I still agree that doing so would not fix anything regarding this particular issue. Spamming uncensored explicit porn on comments and galleries would still be against the rules one way or another, so making NSFW rules more lax would do nothing productive here.

Personally I’m fine with allowing actual porn, so long as it’s nsfw tagged
the issue i have with this is that whoever this is, they just spam it everywhere, eithout the tag

Does the email get nuked too or can he keep registering with the same one? If so, that might be one way to slow it down a little (provided the admins implement email banning).

We don't really know much other than it being some guy with no life. Sometimes they get bored and stop spamming for months, then suddenly we get like 20 accounts in an hour. It varies a lot.

Spam bans are easy as shit and take literally 4 clicks (account, ban button, marked for spam, buh-bye asshole), so we don't really find it deserving too much public attention. Hell, not even all mods know how many porn spammers we banned. We don't keep a record, he's just another faceless account for the gallows.

It could be more than 1 guy, it could be the same guy. We had threads "Hahaha I am the spam guy and you will never stop me" in different tones from wanting their old account unbanned to simply not caring and wanting to make fun of the mods.

Best you can do is hope their balls drop in due time.
