That and "Men in Black"

I preferred Independence Day.

Cousin Eddie is in Independence Day! So I leave it for my favorite of his.

Daisuke, who created Guilty Gear, has said Bridget was always intended to be trans so IMO that should settle the debate once and for all

At WORST we can criticize him for some awkward ways of trying to write around this when he came up with her first backstory in the 90s, likely not realizing it might come off as odd many years later, but I do believe he is being 100% sincere that Bridget was always meant as a trans woman and it's only been recently when trans acceptance is finally much higher than it was back in the 90s that he's now able to go "this is what I always meant, y'all just weren't ready for it back then."

Aw, man. This feels like the guy caused a culture war for nothing.
Anyways, Reddit Gear is boring.
I would rather play King of Fighters or Killer Instinct.

I do not find half of A24 media this interesting. Their horror movies sometimes feel like a poor mimic of Stanley Kubrick's cinematography sometimes.
The best film I can think of is Uncut Gems and it shows Adam Sandler can be an awesome actor.
I really want Adam Sandler to be in more serious movies.

I'd say it's the opposite.

Him coming out and saying that makes the discussion more evergreen because there's also the matter of whether he's means it or whether he's going down the blizzard entertainment route of "this was always the plan" while lying through their teeth

I don’t speak that much about myself, but back then, about or over a decade ago, I used to watch and follow a bunch of watch content creators that are very right leaning. Such as TheQuartering, GeeksandGaming, Mauler, Clownfish, ShortFatOtaku, and so-on. Until one day, I just stop watching them one by one somewhere around 2019.

But back then, it wasn’t due to me changing my viewpoints around certain people or ethnic groups. That was far later during the covid pandemic when I come into terms about the world around me and how my family process the events since I was also a shut-in, so the quarantine regulation didn’t effect me much. It was the time that I starting to reflect on myself on a bunch of things.

But what really make me stop watching them all together is that their content is boring as fuck. Out of the majority of videos, the three things these people talk about is Disney, Marvel, and Starwars. Which is at this point, is Disney, DISNEY, and DISNEY. with the same rebuttal like the previous video and so forth. Granted, it’s not like this is all they talk about, but even with the exceptions they don’t talk about it in it’s own merits. They somehow had to compare it to whatever current Disney property during that time, regardless of the similarities. It make me realize that people don’t watch them for engagement or entertainment, they watch them for the endorsement of their own opinions. And I dislike Disney as much as the next guy, but I’m pretty sure that me and the other guy would have vastly different reasons for it.

Now as of late, I’ve been watch a bunch of central to very left leaning content creators who discusses so much about the media that I’ve never know, contrast to the past previous decade. I was introduce to so many games, shows, animation, comics, films, and books than I ever had. And looking at their videos now, I’m glad that I dodge the bullet because they somehow become worse over the years. especially QuarterPounder

I used to watch RevSaysDesu, who kinda falls in to a similar circle (though maybe not as extreme), but stopped watching him when he began dick riding Elon Musk all because Musk once retweeted art of Rebecca from Cyberpunk Edgerunners. Someone else on this site told me Rev doesn't dick ride Musk as much anymore, but looking at Rev's uploads over this year he's basically become no better than those creators you mentioned when it comes to the topics in question so I still have no desire to watch him again.

I'm far more trusting of an uncontroversial Japanese dev than I am over an American dev that's been embroiled in controversy involving sexual harassment that are likely only using things like "Soldier 76 is gay" as a smokescreen to try and distract people from the shitty behavior of their worst employees.

I thought ShortFatOtaku was a centrist.

Don't you know that everyone to the right of Hasan and Destiny is right wing now?

In all seriousness, I used to like Dev's videos because he seemed fair and unbiased but over time I have noticed he has been acting more and more smug and dishonest and kept arguing in bad faith while getting into beefs with other right wing YouTubers.
I stopped following him after the whole Pikamee situation.

I might sound like a dumbass, but I do not like how some of media nowadays doesn't use the edge with some stuff to show the point of how hatred can corrupt you.
Sure, it would seem problematic, but some things must be problematic otherwise they are just boring and safe.
I was going to mention POSTAL series, but I would sound like some nincompoop would yell "This series doesn't make slur look bad. It's safe edgy now.". I would rather have the series become serious again or have RWS focus on bringing back their non-POSTAL projects back to life.

What did he do to Pikamee?

He was basically defending her getting harassed over that Hogwarts Legacy debacle and thinks she "should have controlled her response".

Oops. I forgot stars increase the text. I should have added brackets.

I wrote this before on vent thread:
2D games, 2.5D games and top-scrollers in general should maximally cost $40. And Pokemon mainline games should be top-scrollers. $40 and money will be well spent.

Don't be fooled by 3D graphics. 2D games can still require tremendous amounts of work(though not necessarily in terms of graphics) and 3D can take a lot less than you'd think.

Expecting some cap on price based on graphics feels very arbitrary even if there might be logical reasons why many might conform to such a limit.

@Mistress: That's fair obviously, but tbh I can't blame anyone who's skeptical of something that took ~20 years to do even if the dev hasn't been controversial or the reasons make sense. Or at least without building up to it. I know nothing about guilty gear though so that's outside of what I can speak on.

oh. i see. perhaps i just didn't like how Nintendo publishes AA games with a $60 price when Capcom published Megaman 11 with a $30 price.

I feel like nintendo prices are a whole other discussion. I don't pay too much attention to switch games since I just play on my brother's occasionally, but they don't seem to change their console exclusive prices post-release.

While the thread is on nintendo, I found this really neat video on the palworld situation that makes me sympathize with nintendo a little bit more. Cultural copyright laws are weird, sony is backing palworld specifically in part to chip away at nintendos dominance and thats likely why nintendo sued them, and copyright law in Japan vs America is why there's such a divide on when say, a fan game gets taken down

I do not like dialogue changes or censorships in remasters. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and Sonic x Shadow Generations come in my mind.
I can kind of see it for a remake in some cases, BUT NO WAY FOR RERELEASES AND REMASTERS!
Either you stay faithful or don't make remasters.

Now corporations want to poke bear at Nintendo now? What is this? Make Nintendo even worse when it comes to copyright?

I do not trust people who watch cartoons aimed for those under the age of 12 anymore.
Bluey fandom made me develop this thought.
Also, what's with Alec Hirsch? I know he became a dork on Twitter and I don't think he had creepy thoughts because he was once a friend with Justin Rhoiland.
People write he got pegged once.

Normally I don't post here or in the forum in general, but I want to get this off my chest.

These strong reactions so many of you here are having since the American election results are utterly pointless. This is literally a complete, almost word-for-word repeat of 2016, with the exact same over-the-top ridiculous doom cries: "Trump is evil!" "He's the literal antichrist!" "He's going to genocide the minorities!" "He's going to reduce women's rights into those of cattle!" And other similar-sounding crap is what everyone was saying was going to happen if he won back in 2016, and when he did, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING OF THAT SORT HAPPENED! This whole response right now is ridiculous, and before someone says, "But project 2025!!" Trump has openly disavowed it multiple times, which drives home that he knows that it's not popular. "But he's lying! " You are going to tell me? Ok, he may be, but that still doesn't change one thing: the over the top nature of the supposed project is just too impractical to actually come to fruition. Like, do you seriously believe that the entire Congress and the rest of the government will actually agree to pass such a ridiculously "big grand restructuring of everything"? Without many seeing it as potentially massively unpopular and too expensive? You could even draw a parallel with his other promises back in 2026, like, I believe we all remember the "we need to build a wall" slogan he used damn much back then, and when he won, that entire project failed miserably because it turns out building a huge fortified wall through so many damn kilometers is just plain not feasible, and that is not the only case of his promises failing; another notable one is how he claimed He was going to ban Muslims from entering America, but that also didn't happen and was instead replaced by just a few restrictions and paperwork, and the list goes on overall. As you can see, Trump has a history of trying to pass over the top policies only for them to fall flat on their faces. If he didn't manage to create the hyped hell on earth, then how can one expect for him to somehow magically do it now?

And that's it. Really, you go ahead and downvote me if you like. I don't mind also one last thing in this post; I'm only referring to those over the top reactions and doom predictions. If you have other fears regarding the economy or health care, then your fears are very much justified.

This. Bro, you just wrote the most reasonable shit related to Trump ever.
Even seeing this write in such a concerned way makes me feel like those guys who complain too much without giving a proper solution.
Shame because I like the site.
Anyways, Republicans who force Project 2025 can go sit on their cuck chair

I got bored of tight superhero/villain costumes. They look like they just painted bodies and removed or covered some parts to make those costumes look less horny.
@No!!
I liked it simply because Venom symbiote and Eddie Brock are good characters. Sony knew how to make those characters likeable despite movie trilogy having problems.

I have no idea if this counts as unpopular opinion, but I believe codes written in Visual Studio take more space in AAA video games nowadays than just graphics.
I am writing this because VISUAL STUDIO TAKES TOO MUCH SPACE ON MY LAPTOP, BUT I NEED IT FOR COLLEGE!!! Even files I need for college take too much space.
This makes me wish I never got into making video games through coding.
