I really like having a convenient list of what people did for April fools you know. Just wondering if there was a reason for it?

There was one it was just relatively small, it was a about mothers this rime and they were lnly posting memes about mothers.

Is this me or has the importance of April Fools' day diminished?

Not just you, importance of April Fools' day has indeed been diminished. And that's because reality in general is the joke (especially given this blasted decade), except it has gotten less funnier as time went on, and the joke didn't stop after just 1 day. It's basically a surreal horror-comedy, with more emphasis on the horror as time goes on…

My favorite April Fool's was definitely Sega just putting out a whole ass Sonic murder mystery visual novel on Steam for free. Behind that is IGN's fake Nintendo Direct announcement that the cast of the Illumination Mario movie would have dialogue added into every Mario game on Switch.
