…a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind; a journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost up ahead--your next stop,

the favorite Twilight Zone episode thread.

Allow me to elaborate, I recently started watching the show on Netflix, I don't have enough time to watch every episode, so it would be very helpful if you guys posted one or two of your favorite episodes. You can also post why you like it, or the episodes you like the least. To start off, my favorite episode so far is "Eye of the Beholder"

I have two favorites. The first is where an old woman talks to her dead husband via a broken electrical line, and the second being the one where the man visits his childhood town to discover that time stopped there.

My dad owns the entire collection of every episode. My favorite is Nothing in the Dark, the one where the old woman who was afraid of the Grim Reaper (or Death), accidentally befriended and grew fond of him, which led her to willingly go with him. It showed that death and endings are nothing to be afraid of, and the Grim Reaper isn't a monster to fear, he's a guide that leads you to something necessary. My other favorite is The Invaders, the one where the miniature robot things were invading the farm lady's house, and it turned out SHE was the extraterrestrial being, and the robots were humans.

Of course, The Obsolete Man, Nightmare at 20,000 Feet, Time Enough to Last, To Serve Man, Two, Living Doll, The Eye of the Beholder, The Odyssey of Flight 33, Long Distance Call, Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?, and The Monsters are Due on Maple Street are all particularly awesome, and are right behind the Invaders and Nothing in the Dark by a hair's breadth.

I always liked Futurama's spoof:

"Enclosed is a PDF attachment, a picture of yourself in a boat on a river. It's a river that flows in two directions. Make that three. It's a magic river, that's how. It is flowing down the Eerie Canal to…"

The Scary Door.

"That's eerie with two E's."
