I got that once for forging a signature. So what did you do?

Some guy threw a pack of peaches at my friend (which splattered all over him and ruined his perfect hair) so I went up said guy and pushed him so hard that he fell back onto a table. Then I threw water on him.
I regret pushing him, but in my mind I was being a hero for my friend.

Wait, so they gave you six whole hours for that kind of stuff? Doesn't seem right, since the other dude clearly asked for it. Did you say anything rude? Did you do it in malicious manner? Did he get some kind of serious injury from being pushed?

Okay, what I said was just the short version. Here's the full story…
Talking to friend, pack of peaches hit 'em, blah blah blah. I stood there for a minute and comforted my friend but I started to go rage mode and I stomped over to who I knew did it (because he's been throwing food at us all year). And I said,"What the fuck is wrong with you!?" and pushed him. He's fat, so he stumbled backwards and fell onto the table. Then the brave fat-ass said,"Oh… I just got pushed by a lezzie! I'm so scared!" (Yes, I'm lesbian but that irrelevant) so then, when he got back up, I tried to push him again but he just walked away so I grabbed someone's water bottle and splashed him with it.
So, yesterday I learned that pushing someone is assault even if your sticking up for someone. So I've been in ISS all day.
I don't even know what ISS (or SDC as we called it) is supposed to accomplish. Seriously, the one time I got it in school was because my phone went off in my pocket 10 minutes before the end of the day. (I had a bar phone with buttons on the front. I didn't even get a call or a text, it just triggered my ringtone. Even more BS was the fact that it became only a warnable offense the next year.) So because of that I had to spend the whole day in ISS and only got half the work done I was supposed to. (Thanks to ADD lol.) Seriously, it's a complete BS concept that needs to be eradicated from the school system. I can understand there MIGHT be instances where it could be warranted, but in my school it was almost handed out like candy. I considered how I could get out of it for a good bit, and at least 50% of my options were stabbing myself in the hand. (Almost did it too. Had a nice sharp fork when we had our special lunch time.) That's messed up right there. I wanted to harm my self just because I couldn't take 7ish hours of solitude and silence. (Although for an ADD kid, that's just plain torture.)
tl;dr: I feel for ya OP. You have my support. Hope it goes by fast for ya.

ISS's are dumb.
In my school, the board is too scared to actually suspend anybody, so they just do ISS's if anyone actually does anything bad. In fact, last week a guy I knew one of my black aquaintences the n word and to "pack your stuff and get back to the plantation" because of something dumb, and all he got was an ISS and went off scot free. You shouldn't be suspended, you were only defending your friend, and that's not right.
PS if it makes you feel better, the guy sounds like an asshole of no bounds
question: how are you having internet access? Do they just put you in a study hall for all day, or what?

I failed a test and had to get it signed, but I lost the test and forgot about it until the day I needed to bring it back. I asked a friend to forge a note for me and he charged me 5 bucks. we were caught and I got a full day suspension, he got half day but was kicked off student council. Funny how we stayed friends even after we threw each other under the bus. I told them he did it for me and he said I forced him to.

Gentlemen please, let us handle this is a civilized manner. We have technology.
Crush that kids skull with this.
To be serious though, it was wrong of you to handle that situation in such a barbarious manner. But it was even more wrong of that guy to throw perfectly good peaches at a perfectly good hair. I can understand how mad you were and trying to defend your friend, but it's a shame the teachers weren't there to see the entire thing. Funny how they never pay attention in the worst situations right?

Teachers are supposed to disallow any form of violence within school grounds, so fat fuck had a solid case against you there to get the teachers on his side.
Then again, the same works the opposite way: Throwing objects at you can be seen as assault. And if it was food, you can also get him suspended for public littering. Instead of replying with violence, reply with wits. Aim your cellphone at him the next time he does this. It will either 1) Get him to stop, because he's getting filmed, or 2) Help you collect evidence. Everyone has a smartphone nowadays.
Mention it to the teachers yourself. I know high school kids tend to avoid that because it's uncool and blabla, but he already did it so what's the worst that can happen at this point? Having fat fuck hate you? Like that can be considered a loss.
That said, running back to the first reply in this thread, this thread was made out of boredom to get yourself through ISS. So I'll just head to the lock.
