Let's go back to when you first started… you barely even knew those around you, and you found that one person to start your KYM journey with. Who was that person?

Mine was SmackerJack Titanomachina and it was while me and him were bashing a troll entry. We became friends pretty quickly, and we're still great friends to this day.

Can't remember exactly who was first, but the first few that I still know and remember were Kung Fu Cthulhu and Gaben

I believe the first person I friended was "fazishot':https://knowyourmeme.com/users/fazishot. The reason was because after someone was having a rage against furries in the comment section of a certain entry, he said that he was one who wanted to treat them as equals, which I also do.

I'd say Aristocatification (just like lich), papaphill, and skimaskkass were my closest online friends for the longest time. I'd say aristo was the first to reach out to me, and even though we had some tiffs I still really like the dude (even tho my waifu is better :3). On the opposite end of the spectrum I reached out to papaphill. He was like me in a lot of regards and if it wasn't for the IRC I don't think I'd have talked to him at all really, which is sad considering how much I enjoy the hell outta him. Finally, skimaskkass wasn't truly one of my first friends but he was the first to try and be a friend outside of the site which was a first for any online community I'd ever been on. He sent things in the mail, listened to my terrible compositions, and was just a rock in a time that I needed one.

Save for aristo, none of them are really active anymore which is sad but such is online life non? Anyways, much love to them (and I mean that).

I don't actually remember the first guy I friended here, but the first actual friend I made was a user by the name of Len, who was the first user to change his name to Derpy Hooves here. Not as close as we once where, but I still consider him a bro.

My first friend was "Eugenist" (now deactivated, named Iran)

I hated them at first, but then grew to like them. I wonder what they are doing now…

Thanks to the glorious death ride known as the Roleplay Thread, I befriended Asura and Zar and pretty much every user who took part of this tragic thread. I believe I started talking with Asura first, no idea.

The first friend I made on here was markhaox14. I didn't really know what to make of her when she starting posting on my profile but I'm really glad I gave it a shot at getting to know her. Without any doubt, she's one of my dearest friends on this site and I feel that my experience on here would be significantly diminished if she wasn't around when I first joined.

Epic Fail Guy was the first person I really talked to often (talking being more random stuff), so I consider him the first person to really call a friend on this site.

I don't think I have any friends on here. Like, I'm friends with people as a reciprocal gesture, but I don't actually chat much with people or really know anyone, which is a shame.

I'm still not sure who to consider a real friend, since I post so rarely, and there are so few people who I've chatted with several times… Especially since I don't use the IRC.

I guess there's there's the old pony general posse from way back, like Ric, Verbose, Gigatoast, opspe, phoneix, Calpain, etc. I've also always considered Random a friend before a mod, so that's why I like making fun of him every once in a while. That's if I don't have to talk srs bsns.

And then there are the cool guys like Natsuru and Gespenst (Lich), who I sometimes talk/post art with. And then there's Sonata Arctica, with whom I talked LoL and metal, and Crow, with whom I've talked about his project.

I'm not sure how many people here consider me a friend either, since I come and go as I please, and post rarely anyway.

I guess I'm sort of like a resident ghost of KYM, who sometimes makes his precense known by yelling, breaking stuff, and drawing on people's faces. Hard to make any friends that way.

a person a would call my friend would be Krupam who also remind me of my friend from memebase who i sadly don't chat with much since i 1. don't use memebase anymore and 2. rarely visit deviantart where he also have an account

When I first joined I hung out with people like RandomMan and Gigatoast in the MLP article comments section, but the first person I really considered to be a friend was probably Verbies. Could be wrong though; I regularly keep in contact with quite a few people from around that era, like Lolstaz, Ric, Connor, Owens, etc, and I can never remember the order in which I met them.

I'd say drpepperfan. I really didn't click with anyone until I started using IRC, and he was the one who encouraged me to really come back time after time and converse. <3

I never really talked to supermonday or Gigatoast much, but I looked up to them (and I talk to supermonday on steam rarely). I RP'd with Romana a little bit as Berry and I still talk to him on steam occasionally. Then I started talking and playing games with opspe and Pyro though things have fallen apart. And Cite too in there somewhere. Now I talk with Algernon and the rest of the people in the pony chat.

Before I was the openly raunchy to nearly everyone on here, I was shy. I'm glad he went that extra step to get to know each other better. To this day he still remains as one of the closest people I talk to on here.
