Why did you pick your screen name

I chose this from FNaF, obviously, but my old name Rukario McFly which I still use some places was actually a mix of my two fave things at the time, Pokemon (I like Lucario the best :p) and Back To The Future (Marty McFly) so I mixed Rukario + McFly, heh.

I lurked around here for a year and a half before I got an account.
During that time I found an article on Drawball.
I spent some time there with a different name until I kept trying to vandalize the Christmas tree by drawing fire on it.
After that incident, the admin Gradient called me "Drawball's fire bug" or something like that.
I've used Firebug as my default since.

I wanted to see how much people I could get to believe I was a girl (also partly to match the icon). I then flipped it for April Fools but I didn't flip it back it because, like the username itself, it grew on me. It's also unique.

I chose my second screen name, Your Local /tr/ainer as a way to hide from the community after having a public meltdown because at the time, I was a Pokemon fanboy, and I browsed the /vp/ board on 4chan often. As time went on, I started browsing the /mu/ board more often, so at times, I replaced the /tr/ainer in my screen name, to /mu/tant. Some months passed by and I completely stopped visiting /vp/, and /mu/ replaced it; it was also around that time, I played less attention to the Pokemon series. In light of that, I dropped the "Your Local" part of the name, and took the word, "Patrician" in honor of /mu/'s fascination with becoming music patricians, and kept the "/tr/ainer" part of my name, becasue I liked the sound of it.

From a WKUK skit. 'Corporal Punishment'. I liked the pun, and it was a good name. Used to go as Charasaird before because is my favorite pokemon. Didn't bother to check the spelling when making a warcraft 3 account. Then by the time I learned that I was spelling it wrong didn't care. Then for my irc nick I was listening to a song, and looked at it's url, liked it and put Sir in the front of it.

I was playing Team Fortress 2 and was thinking "I should get a better name." A bit later I was playing some Metal Gear Solid 3 and I had William Shakespeare stuck in my head, and I came up with a stupid pun, "Solid Snakespeare." I then just stuck with it as my name for everything.

Kurenai is Japanese for crimson. Hong Meiling, one of my favorite touhou charcters, name can also be read in Japanese as Kurenai Misuzu. Kurenai is also a town in the outlands in Nagrand. Kurenai in the Draenei language is means "redeemed". Also, I love the color Crimson and I like the sound of Kurenai.

So, ta-da.

Because I've been obsessing over Auggie from Covert Affairs and he is literally a blind spy.

Blue Eyes is obviously a reference to blue eyes white dragon but I'm pretty sure he doesn't actually have blue eyes in the show.

My past names were Hodgson-kun and daigonite. Hodgson-kun was a reference to Roger Hodgson, one of the former lead singers in Supertarmp, which is my favourite band. daigonite is just a handle I've used for years.

I've always loved my name. Jared isn't too common from where I'm from. I always had it in my old usernames. Juigijaredjb (Juigi is something a childhood friend and I came up with, long story, then my initials at the end), Crazy Jared (I am a bit), FPSJared65 (I love FPS' and 65 is my lucky number).

I was getting sick of being "FPS Russia fanboy". However, I also wanted something unique. No X's or numbers anywhere. No full caps. Just normal wording.

Then, I finally played Dark Souls years ago now. I loved the game so much. Then I met Marvelous Chester. He was a traitorous dick. So I killed him. I thought he was a pretty cool character though.

Then it hit me. Simply becoming Marvelous Jared. It had a nice ring to it and it looks really nice in games. Especially when I get summoned to help people in jolly cooperation in the Souls games.

As for Fluffy Tail Toucher, I love soft things. I truly cannot resist touching things that are soft. Its this weird impulse for me.

TL;DR I wanted something original and to stand out. Just like why I use my Kawaii Krime outfit from GTA Online as my avatar.

Natsuru Springfield is the Amalgamation of two characters who kinda had a big impact on me 5 years ago. Natsuru Senou and Negi Springfield. Originally it was going to be a temporary joke as I planned to change my last name whenever my avatar would change to a different character, but it stuck.

Natsuru is the main character from the Anime/Manga Kampfer. It's a heavy gender bender yuri anime that basically blew my fucking mind since at the time I had been very very sheltered. Gender Bender emerged from the depths of my mind and finally I had an idol. Admittedly, it's a poor choice for an idol, given that Natsuru Himself is thicker than a steel beam when it comes to romance and reduced to a mere sex object as the final rolled around, but he could freely choose his gender and unlocked new abilities when he was female, and that's what mattered.

Negi is the main character from the manga Negima (No, the anime never happened). Basically it's like if Harry Potter got his degree… at age 10, and started teaching in an all girls middle school. He somehow embodied a wise and powerful mentor who simultaneously was just a vulnerable kid who was still trying to cope living in a completely different country than his only living relative.

I think I tend to have a thing for characters with dualities to them. Since a lot of the characters I have embodied over the past 5 years have been those with some sort of opposite side to them, be it literal or physical. Natsuru had a Boy and a girl side, Negi had a Mature and a Childish side, Amaterasu had the Animal and the Divine side, Reimu has the Strict and the Caring side. My god I think had I discovered Persona earlier any of those characters may have been one of my faces.

Maybe I idolize such characters because I feel they parallel me. Especially Negi and Reimu who ultimately must moderate and teach but at the end of the day just want somebody to relax with, because they hold people at arms length for so long they get lonely.

But equally I envy their lives and literal power, since in spite of how much danger their day-to-day activities hold, I always dream of the fantastic.

Being a big Spider-Man fan, I thought a Spider-Man related would be cool.

I thought that because Peter Parker was bit by a spider, I would be Spider Bite, but I knew that was pretty generic and I think there are many other online people called that.

Because I like computers and all that, I decided to make it Byte after, well bytes.

Well back in the late 90's, I was thinking of my first email name however I couldn't think of anything so I put my favorite color and number together. Have stick with me since because I couldn't think of anything else during the years.
