Why did you pick your screen name

So yeah, as title says, why did you pick your screen name?

I honestly just pulled mine out of my ass because I liked the sound of it, if you're friends with me on Steam you'll see I pretty much never use Nima, that's just because I change my name according to profile picture or I use a variation of the name such as Neema or Nehma – but I always default back to Nima.

I've had the name for about 4 years and I found out that it apparently means "Thread" in Hebrew, "Blessing" in Arabic and the Swahili variation (Neema) which apparently is the name given to someone born during a prosperous time.

So your lots turn to tell me.

I have no fucking idea.

7-9ish years ago I had a relative from Texas living with us for a while and he had what was considered a super computer at the time and played WoW. He let me make an account and I made a troll with a mohawk with the name "Tillster."

Sometime in 2009 I found ROBLOX and someone had already taken Tillster. So I added "Rulz" at the end, Z instead of ES because I'm cool. And I didn't add it to be egotistical or because I rule, but because it rolled off the tongue and sounded cool.

It's funny to see people fail to spell it correctly, the worst I've seen is "TwisterRilz."

Originally i was known as FishPaste985, but that was before i discovered Markiplier, after i did i went through many name changes like Sean-driver, DriverZensen, even C0MAT053 ( pretty l33t at the time) but then i decided TheUnoriginalGuy, replaced "Guy" with "MonkeyWrench" and removed "Unoriginal" and thus i kept the name "The MonkeyWrench"

My new screen name is a derivative from my old screen name "IceColdQuantum". So I was listening to "Hey Ya" by Outkast. I thought to myself, "What's cooler than being cool?", the crowd of Andre 3000s chanted in the lyrics "ICE COLD!". So I shortened my name and put it in all caps. I added an "S" at the end so I can feel more original about it.

My name is something from Middle School I just stuck with. Ryumaru because I liked Dragons and was sort of a weeb back then and Borike is literally a word I just made up.

I also use it because it's close to my real name but not exact enough that people will guess it. It gives me anonymity while also giving me the same feeling I get when people call me by my real name

I chose my name because I'm just so fresh and clean.

Well my first name was Artyom the Not-So Artyom, which I chose because of Metro's Artyom and the fact my name isn't actually Artyom redundant if you ask me. Now it's because I wanted to ironically sound like a gentleman, as well as show that I'm a jack of all trades type.

I love Nintendo and my name is Dylan. Before I had a KYM account, or any account I keep up with for that matter, I used variations of my name as well as my initials. That all changed after I found out I could make a Nintendo pun with my name after seeing a bunch of parodies (Nintendon't, Nintendoomed, Pretendo, etc.) and it just stuck with me ever since.

Because this name is literally Xehanort in a nutshell.
The "Dragon Master" part I added after completing a monotype run of Pokemon Y (Of course being a Dragon Monotype) and then proceeding to procure a 50 win streak with a Dragon Monotype team.
But I'm out of practice lately, and I don't even feel like playing competitively anymore, so yeah.

"Shi"hart "Jo"estar
ShiJo!

Although most of the time I use other names that start with "Shi" but you get the idea

its meant to be a play on those old arcade games, you know whenever someone would just tap AAA when they got a new high-score or some shit, and the 9000 part is there because on xbox live TripeA was already taken. So now i pretty much use the name for all my online accounts.

ImmaHeMan: A long time ago in the distant land of YouTube, there was a community known as the "Immas". The Immas were a group of YouTubers who dedicated their lives to celebrating a character specific to each person. I was but a lone wanderer in the great sea of the internet, when suddenly a kind soul by the name of ImmaBlossom extended their love to me and was embraced by the warmth of a new home. I soon fell asleep, and when I awoke I was reborn as ImmaHeMan. After a few months I stumbled across KYM and saw that there was an Imma YouTube entry. However it was in a sorry state of disrepair. So naturally I joined the site to edit the entry. Which I did. However it was still shit, and remained shit up until around a month ago. Back on the YouTube sphere the community was dying. YouTube was slowly removing our organs to the point where we could no longer thrive. The Google+ integration was the final nail in the coffin, and most of the more prominent users left and never returned. However I remained here on KYM, and I forever keep the beginning of my name as "Imma" as a remembrance to my fallen brothers and sisters whom I held so dear.

Synge: Lol I don't fucking know.

It was Plato excuse me PlayDOH who stuck 2 the wall when he said 1 must put his transvestite n jeopardy if 1 wants 2 become a cunnilingus
First of all, we must internalize the 'flatulation' of the matter by transmitting the effervescence of the 'Indianisian' proximity in order to further segregate the crux of my venereal infection. Now, if I may retain my liquids here for one moment. I'd like to continue the 'redundance' of my quote, unquote 'intestinal tract', you see because to preclude on the issue of world domination would only circumvent – excuse me, circumcise the revelation that reflects the 'Afro-disiatic' symptoms which now perpetrates the Jheri Curis activation. Allow me to expose my colon once again. The ramification inflicted on the incision placed within the Fallopian cavities serves to be holistic taken from the Latin word 'jalapeno'. It was the pony but first proctologize in my Derpy gyrations

Well, Milotic is best pokeyman, but the second half just sorta sounded nice I guess, even thought I've changed it. This is actually the only place I use this name.

My name is a mashup between the first character I've created when I was younger (Bloodstar) and a criminal organization from Naruto (Akatsuki). I just keep reusing this username because I'm too lazy to create another one and it's easy to remember.

Well a year or so ago on KYM I became Jetstream Sam because I liked Metal Gear Rising and Sam and at the time I was just switching between a jillion roleplay usernames. I discovered the forums and stopped mostly lurking as Sam and people kept calling me Sam even after I changed names a few times so when I realized completely changing names every 2 weeks was stupid and people kept forgetting who I was. I picked simply "Sam" as my permanent name because it's what people who knew me called me so I'd grown to identify with it and I just liked how simple and gender neutral it was (since at the time I was gender confused). I kind of forgot there was already a Sam on KYM but I figured I was Jetstream Sam long before he was called Sam so I said fuck it this is my name now. And it worked out in the end anyways for both of us.

Then I found the IRC and figured out the nick "Sam" wouldn't work so I added "SexySam" just to seem ironically egotistical (since I was actually egotistical for a while). I didn't keep it for long though and eventually changed to slutty. No idea how that even happened either I just randomly thought of it and people treated me like a slut because of the name or people treated me like a slut so I picked up the name, can't remember. I then used Slutty Sam on all my internet accounts and made it my KYM name too instead of just "Sam" for consistency and uniqueness. Also funny story I've grown to identify with the name Sam (and by connection Samantha) so much and hated my birth name so much that Sam is actually now my real name. So thank you Know your meme and Metal Gear Rising for making me who I am.

Hackenbacker was the alias of the character Brains on the TV show, "Thunderbirds." It was my first ever fandom and an homage to my fandom roots. I also love the way it sounds.

I have the full set of episodes still on VCR too. Whole set came in a Thunderbird 2 container.
Also have one of the full Tracy Island play sets with all the Thunderbird vehicles and the voiced character buttons on the back.

It's still one of my favourite shows from my childhood.

My usual gamertag is Yokalessence. And some of you have seen me use that. But I wanted a name that had a bit more personality. Something i could make a character out of

I thought about the BSOD because A) It's one of my favorite memes. B) I'm a tech guy. C) I break software

I also didn't realize how horribly unoriginal it was but fortunately KYM had no BSOD's at the time. I characterized myself as the BSOD at first and the name stuck

Currently I'm also Butterscotch. Because Butterscotch is the cutest gay horse

Played Spiral Knights and joined Nuggets Family which is mafia family stronger than leone family and then i found it unique but ppls still insult me by saying "spiral is dickhead" sooo

My Internet name is Spiral Nuggets

But my profile pic rite?

Niko Bellic become battleship

It's my persona. Just a timid black cat. No magic, no furfagging, just a cat
I feel it describes me very well y'know
It…..it
…..
…..

…..

It just describes me so well..so…so acurately

I imagine, a black cat hidden in the shade of a tree on a sunny day, watching events unfold from a distance. like a cat, i flee from danger and conflict, fighting only when I know I can win and survive.
(Whispers) invisible in the crowd

Alone….

…..in my mind

Quiet….
…
… in my outward expression

I picked mine because it was simple, nobody else had done it in in any other site I looked for, and I liked what it represented. I could market mine if I wanted I plan to copyright it eventually.

Many years ago I was in the computer lab of a community center and I was looking for a game to play. An older teenager saw me in my plight and suggested that I play Runescape. I never heard about it before so he helped find the website and complete the registration process. When It came time to pick a name I asked him for suggestions, and he gave me the name of one of his characters with a couple letters changed. That name was Quavalin and ever since then I have used this name for every website that requires a user name.
