(seriously it's an amusing coincidence that two action-adventure games featuring black protagonists who use voodoo powers came out within one year of one another, with Akuji in very late 1998 [I'm talking December] and Shadow Man in summer 1999; Akuji is lesser known because it was a PS1 exclusive that Eidos didn't promote too heavily because they preferred to promote Crystal Dynamics other big game, Soul Reaver, meanwhile Shadow Man was a multi-platform release that that's often remembered best from how the first release, the N64 version, is regarded as one of the platforms best third party titles, and it sold over a million copies on N64 alone)
