Do you have pets?

Show me your pets!! Past and present.

These are my fearless ass chihuahuas after we all saw a spider crawl up the wall.

The black one is Lucy, she got abandoned as a puppy at the vet's clinic where I was working and I snatched her up because she was the cutest thing I'd ever seen. The other is Archer, I adopted him March 2014 when I got my full time job so Lucy wouldn't be lonely. The Humane Society said they picked him up off the streets and they think he was a Christmas puppy or something like that who was abandoned once he wasn't a puppy anymore. :( He's SO sweet and just wants to get belly rubs all day, it makes me so sad to think someone dumped him.

Lucy winks whenever she sees a camera because I taught her to wink on command and everyone thinks it's the greatest thing ever so she gets tonnnnns of love for doing it, and now she just sits around winking at people all day.

When I still lived at home I had an extensive reptile/amphibian collection. I'll post my favs.

This is Littlefoot the Borneo short tail when I first got him.

This is him a little more than two years later, right before I moved. I gave him to a reptile education group that goes to schools and does shows and stuff

When I have a more permanent housing situation I'm definitely getting another. He was the most dog-like snake I've ever had, and short tails are so cute.

This is Grandpa.

He's a Savannah Monitor. I was actually only holding on to him for a couple months for a friend while they built a bigger enclosure. He was cool as fuck to have while I did, like a little dino.

I used to have about 6 fish. Key word: "used to".

I don't really remember what types they were, but I think my fishes are composed of an angel fish, a guppy, a goldfish, and some others I forgot about.

@Lisa's image problem

When image embeds from other sites don't work in KYM, I usually upload the images to Imgur, then embed it.

I used to have a hamster long ago. Her name was "Katarina."

Now I have way too much stick bugs.

(just for the reference, I didn't took a pic of it)

I am planning to have a Boston Terrier in the future and I'm going to name it "Iggy".

(Lisa, I can't see your images.)

For reals, I have 2 zebra finches (no pics) and two lovebirds who are my fucking baes

THIS IS CREAM. This little shit is the chillest fucking bird ever. I love him to pieces. He and me are my OTP. We chill all day listening to supertramp. He also knows he's a lil' shit but we're still homies

THIS IS COOKIE. This little shit basically thinks the sky is falling all the time and is terrified of everything and flies around constantly telling us about how scared he is all the time while Cream tells him to shut the fuck up.

awwww Diesel is so cute!! He definitely looks like a squishy little leo.

The birds are sweet too, I've always wanted a macaw but that's another one of those things that has to wait until I have a real house to live in. My mom is scarred from her mom owning a little terrorist monkey so she said she'd never allow another intelligent animal in the house.

Dharma the Chow Chow:

Eureka the Pug:

Just recently, my brother got a beagle puppy named Sunny.

Alright everyone, sit on back because I'm about to take you on a trip.

First up, it's my favorite little shit.

Here are some pictures from the first day we got her:
(This one is my favorite, I use it as my phone's wallpaper)

(she peed on that couch moments later)

Here are more recent images of her:

And here's her with some of her babies:

When we first got him:

Much more recent:

There were only two in this batch:

Current Pets living at home:

That's Frodo on the left, and Cassey on the right.

Frodo is basically like the houses sheriff, he sees you acting funny your in for a barking followed by a howl and a belly rub demand (incidentally, me talking for more than a few sentences is enough to warrant it, it's pretty funny). He thinks he can talk like a human so he pitches his howls to make out "words". Closest thing to speech he's gotten is "I want Ray Ray" (my dad). He doesn't like being carried or even snuggled for that matter, but he'll take a belly scratch any day.

Cassey was adopted as a breeding dog for a diabetic association that was providing dogs for children and adults with Diabetes. (They can smell your blood sugar levels and give you early warnings). We had been training a few of them, but the one we tried to train before Cassey, Hudu, was a complete loser and became a rescue dog that jumps out of helicopters instead. Cassey herself is like the typical sweetie-py dog who likes to get into your face and lick it, and thinks she's a lap dog. Despite Frodo being far smarter, Cassey is FAR more trained than Frodo and can basically do anything the typical Diabetes assistant dog can do (since the puppies would follow her lead). However she almost forgets half her commands when she's not wearing the Vest.

Here is a pic with Cassey and her puppies.

I've had lots of pets throughout my life. When I was a kid I had some exotic frogs and salamanders (Who all died because I was piss poor at bothering to feed them) as well as a lot of fish and even a turtle (who almost died in a fire once). Also quite a few other dogs and cats than the ones I currently have.

I don't know their names, but we're gonna have to give 'em away given with how hard it is with just a small dog and cat. 2 girls and 1 boy, got no idea who's the dad of these cats though. One of their siblings died in birth.

Feelos is the name of this cat we we adopted her. She's the biggest animal of this house and is super scared of everything, jumping at her own shadow sometimes.

I hesitate to call this thing a dog as it's more of a giant rat. But he's a pure breed naked chinese crested or something. He's really fucking old, like maybe 9 years or something. He used to have a twin brother but he ran away (Pet control found him though, but we couldn't afford to pay them to get him back).

This picture is kinda old, but this is my dog Pepper

I had to leave him with my mom once I got a job. He's 7 years old. My boyfriend gave him to me.

And here are my two cats, Mew (white-ish) and Mewtwo. The one that has the bell is Selina, my roommate's cat.

They live in my apartment. They're 10 months old. They're also brothers.

Pet thread? Good, I love pets. I want pictures of all your pets, all of them!

I'm a big fan of big dogs myself. Whenever I see a person with a big dog walking around I always have the urge to want to pet it. My love for big dogs started young, when my parents dropped me off at my grandparents who had this professionally trained Bouvier that followed me around everywhere, basically creating the scenario of toddler me with a big dog around all the time.

As for myself. Here's my rottweiler, Rodney. He's currently 5 years old. People aren't always too fond of rottweilers, but that's because of the reputation. He's a big petting machine himself, because we raised him to be friendly. Also great with puppies and kids, as this street where I live has a lot of kids that grew up alongside him when he was still a puppy.

If you're a dog owner and you don't share puppy photos you don't deserve to have a dog.

I used to have a dog

We basically grew up together, he had around the same age as me (I was like 3 months older), his mother was a chow chow and his father a german shepherd, I have better quality pictures of him but I like this one the most…It just brings good memories, sadly he died at age 18 and haven't got any pets since

(I'll try to get pics of our living animals later).

My family owns:

9 Chickens (we had ten, but one was killed)
2 ducks, Blue and Bonnet
3 dogs: Belle (a tiny god (forgot the species), Sadi (A german shepard mix) (Also, she's around 16 years old), and Jehma (A Great Dane mix) (Jehma is not only our youngest dog, but is also our biggest dog)
2 cats: Maple (A two year old cat with gray fur), and Cedar (A black cat who lost part of its hair since it's allergic to flea saliva).
And a gerbil. It's my little brothers pet though, so I don't care
Oh, and we have a pet fish, but it's probably gonna die soon

List of animals that are dead or were given away:

Around 10-15 cats (Cedar had two litters. The first litter was healthy, and we gave them away, while the second litter was very weak and was doomed to die. It was pretty sad) (We also had three cats named Fluff Fluff, Anna and Sampson. Fluff Fluff was run over by a bus, Sampson ran off, and my mom ran over Anna)

Around twenty chickens. The current chickens we have are our third group we've had. The others were killed by coyotes, our dogs, old age, or they were given away

Two ducks. Sadi killed and ate them (not blue and bonnet. It was two different ducks)

2 frogs. They lived with the fish, but they couldnt survive in the vase we used for the fish, so they died

A crap ton of fish.

3 gerbils. They belonged to my brother. They all died (not because he was a bad owner, they just died of old age)

Yeah, we've had a LOT of pets. So much so that the small pet cemetery we have in the backyard is probably full by now.
