For some reason I got "recommended" a video from a neo-nazi called "Why Hitler Wasn't Evil" and checking out the person's channel much of what's on there is so clearly "alt-right" it hurts. Speaking of, for some reason other alt-right commentators keep showing up in my "recommended" like some guy called "Black Pigeon Speaks" who makes videos with titles like "Why Women Destroy Western Civilization" but yet still has a pretty click-baity thumbnail of a woman in a bikini, or a video from some other guy whose video title was something like "I support Donald Trump because he hates Mexicans" (look I'm not a Trump supporter but I doubt the guy is actually racist like some people on the extreme left-wing claim, though ironically it looks like some extreme right-wingers support Trump BECAUSE they think he's racist… even that aforementioned neo-nazi does too, making me go "I'm pretty sure Trump doesn't want your approval").

I can only assume this happens because out of curiosity I clicked on the videos in the Alt-Right article on this site just to see what they were like, and now fucking YouTube thinks I want to watch more of that shit.

For some reason a recommendation to a channel named "China uncensored" in Youtube mobile app I never watched anything China related at least in this year.

YouTube keeps recommending that Black Pigeon fucker to be too, even after I made it clear I wasn't interested.

I also keep getting recommended Leafy, even though I only watched two of his videos in my entire life, and Keemstar, who I just heard of about a month ago. Not to mention the 'cringe' compilation videos, even though I haven't watched a single 'cringe' video in well over a year.

I know it's for a kid audience, but promoting a kid!? Yes I know this channel is run by a proper adult, but a kid doing all the work kinda is unacceptable, I mean who knows what will happen to him in the future!

at some point a few months ago YouTube was recommending a video titled "will the Pokemon series start including sex" or something like that. the thumbnail image had 2 images, one was R34 of May and the other was R34 of a female team Aqua grunt (both werent too lewd).
i might see if i can find the video but i forgot the title so i might not be able to.

EDIT: i cant find the video but to sum it up its some cringeworthy idiot saying that he thinks the Pokemon series will include sex because "X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire had """romance""" in them"
(triple quote marks around romance because the only romantic sort of stuff in all 4 of those games was Courtney's interactions with the player)

tfw when I watch political vids it recommends me on the front page even vids that are the exact insane opposite of the political spectrum like "why trannies are mentally ill and should be fixed". I guess it's nice I'm presented with alternative viewpoints I personally hate recommendations in general and it creates kind of an echo chamber but really youtube? To that extent? Like whyyyy.

OH yeah This video has been haunting me for MONTHS. No matter what I do it wont go away. I ignored it, click on it disliked it then left. Fucking watched it twice (once with the sound off while tabbing out) and it STILL shows up in my side bar on almost everything.

Its the most generic "Look at me I hate SEE JAY WABUES" video in the fucking world but for some reason youtube thinks I need to watch it 12 more times. Im pretty anti SJW but god damn youtube must think I obsess over this shit

So I went onto YouTube without logging in on a fresh Chrome Incognito page so it's got no viewer history to go through. I then watched like maybe one or two videos from Shoe0nHead and Armored Skeptic and it turns out just watching them suddenly made the alt-right commentators show up in my "recommended" on the front page. How? They're not alt-right commentators, shit if anything I've noticed alt-righters tend to hate atheists (at least through my experience) and Skeptic has criticized MRAs and MGTOW. Plus Skeptic said in one video that if anything his political views are more center-left.

Recommended videos are pretty crap most of the time, but I've found a few good videos through the feature.
It could be removed, but "YouTube knows best".

Because youtube is the third most visited site in the world and run by one of the most profitable companies in the world yet they can't fix their shitty fucking web site ever to work properly.

This is the same website that broke the dislike button where it doesn't do anything….for 3 years….and its just sitting there doing noting.

I accidentally clicked on a 3lameStudios video once. For the following three weeks my recommended videos were tainted with his cringy shit.

I don't even know who this guy is, or anything about him other than the fact that he makes Roblox videos with clickbaity titles. I've never even watched one Roblox video. He's there for no reason at all.
