Just went camping for two weeks straight with limited access to electricity, a handful of books (two out of the three were manga), a decently-sized collection of vidja gaems, and no internet to speak of (not trying to sound like an entitled shit who hates nature, but it's something to mention). AMA.

Went to Montana, and despite the signs everywhere warning of them I ended up neither battling or seeing any bears.
How many s'mores did you consume during the duration of your excursion?

Quite a bit. The chocolate that we had was too thick to actually melt though, so we ended up having a lot of hard s'mores. Still pretty good.

Nah. Never took the risk by stepping into a field of plants.

One of the best parts about the trip was seeing all the different wildlife in each area. The North Dakotan badlands had wild horses constantly crossing the road, and the campsite I stayed at had buffalo frequenting the area almost all the time (to the point where there was crap everywhere). There was also this time in Montana where I saw a group of mountain goats trying to get into a nearby lodge, which was a fun thing to witness.

Thankfully, no. Whenever we hiked, it was on a well-defined path that made it difficult for woodticks to reach your legs.

What was the best part on the whole camping experience? And what was the worst?

That's actually a really good question, and I'm glad you asked it.
The best part was seeing all the different wildlife and coming within close proximity of it. The scenery was also pretty great, especially in Montana.
The worst part was, unfortunately, the trip's length. The constant packing up and moving to each new location got a bit tiresome, and some of the locations we visited just weren't that great. North Dakota has some nice scenery in the badlands, but that's all it really has going for it.

No, but we did visit two lounge/hotel things with unusually long red-colored hallways.

lol that's cute. Try camping for 5 weeks AND have 2-4 mapping/cross section assignments due each week. The only things that keep you sane is the comradery with your fellow geologists, booze, and the sweet release of sleep. THAT is the geology field camp experience.
Did you dump any bodys?
