Side allies
Too many to count,really.
They wouldn't have an intro nearly as long as the part members,or be as much in detail gamewise.

Party members
Unlike the side members which are summoned, these members follow you around, physically.
They would have stronger attacks,and have set gimmicks/roles (Archer,mage w/o speed,high attack low magic,etc.)
My proposal;
Real Genius:High level Magic,Low level defence. Ability to heal teammates without items.
Moargun: High speed and defense, low health. Ability to use two turns at once.
Jack Candle: Very high speed,Very low health. Ability to be tossed across rooms/hallways,since he's an orange and all.
Capt. Blubber:High defence, and Health, but very slow. Ability to stun all non-bosses for three turns.
Tristan: Low speed, high attack and health. Ability to knock enemies back.
Mellow: All stats are low. Enemies ignore her nine times out of ten.
Jamie:All stats are high. Ability to give items.
Watcher: High attack. Ability to have furry enemies stop attacking the party.
Who am I forgetting?

If you put me in, it would make my day. Also, I came up with some character suggestions.

Somebody with an average attack / defense who can use Medium-level magic (Somewhat like a Red Mage).

Some kind of Machinist-like character with a low attack power and average health who can build machines with average to high attack and health (Like how the the Engineer in Team Fortress 2 can build sentries.) The buildings could deploy within a turn and function like another party member (You could tell it who it attacks). Upgrading the buildings would take a turn.

A character that would function as a Medic, who has low attack and average Health but can heal other characters more than items.

I'll also try to find some songs we could use for a Soundtrack if we ever get that far.

Alright, Me, Omomon, has a white cap, a warm blue jacket and a dark green t-shirt underneath, i am also wearing jeans. my two main weapons will be baseball bats. i have great speed and medium attack. medium defense and my magic powers are summoning more defense and shoop da woop which changes my face to the shoop da woop guy and i blast enemys away, i can only use it one time per battle though. also, for /x/, have slender man have 2 stages, first as him without his tentacles, then his second form(after much damage to him has been dealt with) he grows tentacles and is twice as bad. when he is defeated, he could drop an item maybe, maybe 20 dollars.

oh, and for backstory, i was lost in the horrible place called /d/. now this place horrified me and i am very glad to join with the main character. and if your not doing /d/, then do the next best thing, /gif/.

I'm drafting ideas for my attacks. I can't make 25 yet, but I'm working on it.

Flare: Gee, just like Final Fantasy.
Thoron: Lightning magic.
Tornado: Wind magic.
Quake: Earth magic.
Blaze: Fire magic.
Deep Freeze: Ice magic.
Second Amendment: I go all Joe Manchin on enemies and break out guns on them.
Sixteenth Amendment: Attack and tax enemies at the same time, based on enemy health. Gain money.
Twenty-first Amendment: Drink booze. Raise critical hit rate of allies.
Filibuster: Deliberately waste enemies' time. If it works, enemies can't move, but the character that uses it (me) can't do anything else until it's over. Lasts one minute.
Majority Rule: If there are more party members than enemies, this will kill all enemies, but no exp or money will be gained.
Lawsuit: Sue an enemy. May stop the enemy's next move.
Monroe Doctrine: Causes enemy attacks to be immediately counterattacked for a certain amount of turns.
Guerrilla Warfare: Hide in the shadows, then surprise attack for massive damage.
Real Genius: Laser attack.
KANSAS!: Ultimate attack. Go berserk and swarm enemies with an entire army. Doesn't really have anything to do with the band.

I will be known as Dadoda because it sounds Japanese.
You will face me in the 4th Level as a boss and once you beat me, I will join your
Party and will call the player "Chosen One".
I am made of stone and have 12 sides.
I will have an incredibly high attack and equally low magical skills and will have above average defense.

With all these pople wanting to be a playable character, make the party split up into groups of 4 or 5 near the end of the game. Each party will tackle a diffrent final boss and do something to allow the Player character's group to proceed.

You could do something like in Chrono Cross. That game has A LOT of characters. I forgot how many, but it's some outlandish number.

If we want a lot of playable characters, it could work like in disgaea when you can basically have as many characters as you want. Then you bench ones you don't want to level up.
Also If any extra help is needed spriting I would be glad to help.

I'm planning to do a interchangeable party members, where the player can swap characters in the party before heading off into a dungeon

in the /v/ level, the characters go into all their fave games, and get a few souvenir weapons based on their game favorite. In other words, my character or Lobster Guy's character may get something related to Kingdom Hearts (Fuck yea- i gets a keyblade! Geeky gamer wish fulfilled!)
In the /tv/ level,we do favorite tv shows. So since a big bang theory level would be tacky, there'd be a Doctor Who segment, complete with encounters with Daleks and Weeping Angels. But i'm gonna be using the 10th doctor cause he's awesome. No offense towards any Matt Smith fans, but David Tennant ftw

Allright! I have my entire moveset down! Prepare for tl;dr!!
Subject to edit
In game attack descriptions comeing soon
Natsuru's attack set:
•Lv1: Kampfer Fire Ball (MP: 5) (Fire Damage) (The amount of Fireballs fired increase by one every 50 uses) (There is no cap for Fireballs, can be more effective later in the game if Spammed)
•Lv3: Lighting (MP: 7) (Thunder Damage) (High critical hit ratio) (Upon critical hit, a demodivational poster will appear with the saying "God hates {Insert enemy name here}"
•Lv5: Laser Beam (Mp: 6) (Light Damage) (Whatever the hell that one Japanese Baseball Meme was)
•Lv7: Kill it with Fire! (MP: 15) (Fire Damage) (A small twister of fire appears under the enemy before exploding)
•Lv10: Lightning Blade! →Super Lightning Blade! combo. (First half Mp:10, if Natsuru has 20 more MP she will continue into the Super Lightning Blade.)
•Altered Arte: Sonics Too Slow! (MP: 25) (Decreases enemies Speed)(After using Lightning blade super lighting blade 50 times Natsuru will learn this)
•Lv15: Link's Sword Laser (MP: 30) (Physical + Light damage)
•Lv20: Flame (Mp: 33)(Fire Damage) (Tornado Effect hitting multiple times) (Duration of tornado increases every 50 uses) (Thus, if spammed will become extremely powerful by endgame)
•Lv25: Pikachu's Thunder Shock (MP: 35) (Thunder Damage)
•Lv30: Illusion Laser (MP: 37) (Light Damage) (Summons butterflies to fire the lasers. Number of butterflies increase every 60 uses, lasers get bigger every 30 uses) (Cap is 4 Butterflies and 8 Power increases.)
•Lv35: Lava Rain (MP: 48) (Fire Damage)(Area of affect) (Hits multiple times at random, with a small potential of missing) (Duration of rain increases every 100 uses)
•Lv40: Special Beam Cannon (MP: 54) (Lightning damage) (Takes a minute/ x numbers of turns to charge up, charge is canceled if Natsuru takes massive damage/ faints) (Charge time goes down by 5 seconds/ a turn every 25 times used)
•Lv45: Mikuru Beam (MP: 56) (Light Damage) (Has a chance of causing half damage to other targets)
•Lv50: FAIAH BALLZ YUM! (MP: 60) (This calls Yoshi to the field for a set number of turns. If Natsuru or anyone else uses a Fireball attack, Yoshi will eat all fireballs fired and fire them all at the target when he leaves, causing x3 the damage the fireballs would have by themselves.) (Combined with the endless Fireball increase Natsuru has this attack becomes devastating. But likely chance is you are going to have to grind before it becomes good)
•Lv55: Indignation (MP: 70) (Lightning Damage) (Area of effect) (High Critical Hit Ratio)
•Lv60: Judgment (MP: 74) (Light Damage) (Area of effect) (Duration increases every 40 uses)
•Lv65: Rexflame (MP: 78) (Fire Damage) (Area of effect) (After 100 it will Arte Alter into…)
•Arte Alter: Flare (MP: 80) (Same as Rexflame with a 100% critical)
•Lv70: 1000 Bolts (MP 82) (Lightning Damage) (Area of affect) (High Critical Hit Rate) (Enemies DEFENCE will be halved)
•Lv75: Love Sign- Master Spark (MP 85) (Light Damage) (Disables enemy's attacks for a turn)
(All attacks learned after this one are area of effect)
•Lv80: The Killing Doll (MP 90) (Physical Dark Damage) (Number of knifes thrown increases by 1 every use)
•Lv85: Screamer (MP: 83) (Darkness Damage) (Stuns enemies for a turn)
•Lv90: Evil Sign- Gigas Image (MP: 94) (Darkness Damage) (Stuns, Confuses, and poisons enemies)
•Lv95: Sacrificial Summon- Tails Doll (Mp 100, Hp 1/2 of entire party) (The tails doll is summoned to the field replacing the entire party. He starts out at LV 50 and gains experience by giving or receiving damage. If he dies all the EXP will be handed off to the party members, but if he finishes the battle he gains all gold, items, and EXP that the party should have. His effectiveness increases at night) (Status caps are all 999,999)
•Lv99: Destiny Sign- Final Spark (MP 150)
•Side Quest Learned Arte: Cole Train Summon (MP: 30) (Physical Attack) (Starts with 5 train cars) (Every 10 times used another train car is added, thus another high damaging hit) (There is no cap to the number of cars added, so it becomes extremely effective if spammed)
•Overlimit Arte: Double Rainbow (HP 18% or Limit Bar filled) (Once per battle) (Light Damage)
Natsuru's physical standard attack is very weak, but increases the MP count every time it connects. Total amount of MP recovered is increased by 1 every 5 successful hits. (So one successful standard attack will increase the MP bar up to 999 after using physical attack 4995 times)
The Side quest Arte is leaned through a Fetch Quest where Natsuru has to give Egoraptor a vial of ZOMBIE CANCER.

So all in all Natsuru is a decent character but extreamly godlike and spammy if you use her alot.

im defending you. people are saying you have no plans for the game at all, but thats just because everyones's suggestions are disorganized.

The point i was trying to get across, is that you cant make anything good, if you try to make it with so many people in such a disorganized fashion. Its like trying to make a mansion out of a pile of rubble. If you really want to do this you will need to pick specific people for specific things, like story and art design, level design, programming, etc. Also, not only will you have to pick a team, but you will have to reject people for that team if they aren't good enough to handle the job. This may disappointed some people, but if you want the game to ever be completed, you'll have to do it. Once you formed that team, then you can start making your more detailed plan of what your going to do and when your going to do it. Lastly, you will also have to make deadlines and adhere to them. If you can accept all this as the reality of the situation, then I have faith that you can not only make the game, but make it good.

This sort of reminds me of KYM High School.

The problem was that there were so many KYM users that we couldn't decide who was notable, what cliques they would belong to, and it got really messy :/

(btw, it was an old irc conversation, not on the forums)

At least Im actually doing something to help rather than shouting at Angrypwnser to do stuff. :/
Ill have my sprite sheet by tomrow, and I will grab a bunch of random effects from the spriters resource to use for the spell list. Then I will start on Len and offer to sprite another person.

Actually, Anrgrypwnzer, couled you give me a list of all the people who have shouted to be a playable character thus far? Thanks.

By the way, Might I suggest the compleate and total use and abuse of Touhou Special Effects for the spells?:

WOO! A moveset!

•Lv1: Sonic wave (MP: 5) Deals damage from sonic waves from the Len's guitar.
•Lv3: Chords (MP: 7) Deals 3x damage than sonic wave, but slower to execute.
•Lv5: Arpeggio (MP: 10) Unleashes a fast string of sonic waves.
•Lv7: Guitar Riff (MP: 14) Unleashes sonic waves with a chance of poisoning.
•Lv10: Light Show (MP: 17) Lights appear and casts blindness on enemies.
•Altered Arte: Laser Light Show (MP: 20) Upon using Light Show 30 times Len will learn this when near death. It casts blindness and deals electrical damage.
•Lv15: Autograph (MP: 25) Heals party member of choice by receiving Len's autograph.
•Lv20: Sound of Epicness (MP: 30) Sends one enemy of choice out of the battle with a 70% chance of success. Will always fail against bosses.
•Lv25: Summon: Vocaloid Kaito (MP: 40) Kaito appears and performs with Len, healing party of any status effect.
•Lv30: Amp It Up! (MP: 35) Increases Len's and a party member of choice's attack strength.
•Lv35: Summon: Vocaloid Miku (MP: 45) Miku performs with Len, inflicting random negative status effects on enemies.
•Lv40: SANDVICH! (MP: 40) Heals up to 70% of Len's HP.
•Lv45: Thunder Arrow (MP: 50) Deals heavy electric damage an enemy.
•Lv50: Summon: Vocaloid Meiko (MP: 65) Meiko appears and performs with Len, causing fire damage to all enemies.
•Lv55: Rawk Fist (MP: 55) Unleashes a 15 hit combo of physical attacks, ending with a devastating darkness attack.
•Lv60: Guitar Solo (MP: 60) Unleashes a fury of sonic waves, ending with a much larger sonic wave that deals damage as well as inflicting a status effect.
•Lv65: Summon: Vocaloid Gakupo (MP: 75) Gakupo appears and performs with Len, causing non-elemental damage as well as causing confusion on all enemies.
•Arte Alter: Gakupo: Final Judgement (MP: 110) Once Len reaches lvl 85, the normal Gakupo summon is replaced by this if Len tries to summon Gakupo. Gakupo appears, with his sword in hand, and acts as a party member until defeated. He replaces Len until either dismissed, defeated, or victorious.
•Lv70: Heavy Metal (MP: 80) Len unleashes electrical shocks out of his guitar, finishing by slamming the guitar on the opponent's head.
•Lv75: Summon: Antoine Dodson (MP: 100) Hide yo' kids, hide yo' wives, and hide yo' husband as Antoine appears with an angry mob as they attack the enemies.
•Lv80: Guitar Hero (MP: 85) Len powers up all party members and deals damage to all enemies.
•Lv85: Guitar Legend (MP: 90) Len heals all party member's HP by 70%.
•Lv90: Guitar God (MP: 95) Len revives any fallen party member as well as dealing damage.
•Lv95: Steamroller (MP: 100) Deals massive damage to all enemies.
•Lv99: Dear Agony (MP: 110) Len casts haste on all party members, casts reflect, barrier, and deals damage of all elements to enemies.
•Side Quest Learned Arte: Cantarella (MP: 155) Upon meeting a masked man, the team must collect certain ingredients for the man as he says it is to complete a ritual to seal away a terrible evil that is foretold will destroy the land. Upon collecting the ingredients, he asks you to find a weapon, the Scythe of Dragol. Upon collecting the scythe, the man reveals that he now has all of the necessary items to achieve immortality. Once the man has been defeated, Len learns Cantarella. It deals a deadly poison to all enemies, deals massive damage, heals all party members to full heath and full MP and revives fallen party members (except for Len). The downside is that, because the attack is so powerful, Len's body cannot take that much power, so it damages himself too, but it will not kill him.
•Overlimit Arte: ENCORE!! (Limit bar filled and health must be below 20%) (once per battle) Len puts on a concert as a stage appears and Len performs. It heals all party members of status ailments and restores their HP while damaging enemies with every element.

Redo of my character bio:
Name: Cameron
Gender: Male
Age: 15

A headstrong, easily agitated punk with a heart of gold. An avid Doctor Who fan and mainstream manga enthusiast, he uses fights in the 4chan levels to express his contempt and rage he has towards his dad. He often argues with Stoffe.

He’s like the Heavy: hard to kill, but easy to outpace. He’s slow moving, but when he strikes, crazy shit goes down. His weapon of choice is a cestus (one of those metal spike studded leather gloves boxers would use in ancient Rome)
During the /x/ level, he meets BEN and frees him, who in return gives him powers like the flame starting “terrible Fate” or the tidal wave “DROWN”.

He also meets Roxas and The Doctor, in /v/ and /tv/ respectively.

He has a habit of calling the MC 'kid' or 'squirt', even though he's a bit younger than the MC.

Move set (not including terrible fate or drown)
Lv. 1: Falcon Punch- Does light damage to an enemy and has a chance to stun.
Lv. 5: Big Damn Fire Exit: Has a low chance of escaping the encounter
Lv 12: Mindscrew: Does moderate fear damage
Lv. 14: Pwn Block: Boost the party's defense
Lv. 28: Necrobump: Revives dead party member with 50% health

Some thing you may want to consider pwnser. First, Both KYM-tan and deadpool-kun have pets (longcat and tacgnol respectively.) Secondly, what about the other brilliant characters submitted by the communtiy?
