First of all, i don't know if this is the right forum(of the 4) to actually post this.
Second, ignore misspelling, i'm not from us/uk/aus/etc.

So, this morning I saw a periodic table of meme and at first I found it really funny. But, i notice it almost only, 'talked' about rage comic expression (fuu, fuck yea) and I think this is depressive. In the urge of making something better(and showing to my friends so they realize that rage comic are not the only memes in the world) i started making my paint version of it.

After 2 hours i got to this point, were I filled all blocks (and even added one more) and connected them making some sense.

But, i did this according to my oppinion, and i would love to hear other opinions about the periodic table, such as: remove this, add these, change the place of. As it would make the work a lot better.

So I'll just dump it here, please comment.

Also, I would suggest less rageface comics. You have the same ones just using different versions of the face.

Honestly, if someone were to make a periodic table of as memes that actually mimicked the actual periodic table, the table should take into account the idea that memes can combine. This would mean that the most reactive memes, the ones which are more likely to interact with other memes, would be on the left hand side of the graph, while the ones on the right are less likely to react. For example, catchphrases would most likely go on the right hand side while video memes would be an the right hand side.

Actually, I've seen an IRL meme where people fill up the periodic table with some category of items, and try to match them to the atomic symbols. (Example) I'm tempted to give such a project a whirl, actually.

I see what you mean. My first idea was to actually put memes according to their name and symbol but, after I noticed this would make the table a mess(in terms of organization), i started this organization.

Anyway, on every meme box it could be it initials (instead of elements initials).

One thing that I tried to do while working on mine--for better or for worse--was to break a little farther from the format of the periodic table. That way you can fit more things in the diagram. Also, you can re-organize things in a way that make more sense for your idea, since meme relationships don't really work in the same way as the relationships between atoms on the periodic table.

As for the actual way that you are organizing things, I'm looking at your little diagram and wondering how you're grouping the memes. It seems a little random-- "most popular" is obviously based on presence. "Language," "expressions," and "exploitables," however, are more closely related because they have to do with the form the meme takes. Then you have things like "religion," "game-related," and "aggressive" memes, which are more thematic. I think any one of those systems is good, but mixing them up is getting me a little confused. For example, the word "pwn" is an example of language/catchphrase, but it's also game related.

ANYWAY. Sorry about the long-ass post. I just think it's really cool that you're doing this, and it deserves some serious consideration :)

Except Heavy isn't really a meme in himself. I've assigned "An Hero" to He. I just noticed that I have not yet assigned anything to Tm, though, which might be a good place for Team Fortress.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through the periodic table; I might have been finished by now, but there's no straightforward list of memes I'm working off of. I a few cases where there's no obvious meme to plug in, I've taken the liberty of indirect naming, e.g. I've assigned Xe to Project Chanology, although that may be of questionable meme status, and I'd love suggestions for what to do with that symbol. (Yes, I considered "X, X Everywhere", but I'm averse to using those Xes when they don't really mean anything, if that makes sense.)

Okay, I don't have something for Er or La, and I'd like a better one for Xe, if anyone has suggestions.

I'm in a state of brainfart right now so I'll just leave the almost empty list here.

My big issue is finding memes that have a good picture to go with them.

I'm looking for a better picture for Yb (Youtube Poop) or a better meme to put there; I suppose if I can come up with something better for Al, I could easily move "All Your Base" to Yb. I'm also not really happy with my choice for Zr, and think Zerg Rush is a better candidate if I can find a good picture.

As for your suggestions:
Fr is already "Furries", I'm assigning FAIL to F.
You guessed what I already decided for Mg, Os, P, and Sm, I just haven't added the pictures yet.
Why didn't I think of "Archaic Rap" for Ar? I will take that suggestion gladly.
I like your suggestion for Ho, but it's not a confirmed meme yet, and I'm limiting myself to those as usual for these sorts of things.
"Bitches don't know…" was my first choice for Bi, but in the end, I decided I'd rather have Antoine Dodson ("Bed Intruder") there.
I'd definitely go for "Lurk Moar" or "Auto-tune" if there were a good pic for either one. I don't see one, though.

As is probably evident from the preview, I'm still using Anonymous for Xe, and would love a better suggestion there.
