This kind of reminds me of YouTube Poop, particularly the Sonic<→Dr. Robotnik reference… also found:

THIS VIDEO CONTAINS FAIL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=787cJPYDDi4
THIS VIDEO CONTAINS MORE FAIL THAN THE OTHER ONE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6NwqFlctZY

This Video contains Audioswapping originally started out as This Video Contains Win, a remix of Gourmet Race (from the Kirby Video game series) with the soundbite of Dr. Ivo Robotnik's infamous "Pingas" sound effect spliced in. The video was created by McMagnos, who eventually got tired of the video's popularity and swapped the song.

I was there from the very beginning. At first I thought it was just going to go nowhere, but the fad exploded, eventually prompting even myself to get off my lazy ass and make a version.

It can be viewed at my channel here:
https://www.youtube.com/llamanessone (sorry, I don't remember the exact adress; I just remember it's one of my most viewed, called "This Video Should Not the Light of Day Be allowed to)

As for being a meme, along with many other YT fads (Youtube Poop, Ran Ran Ruuu, etc) I don't believe it has enough history behind it to actually constutute as an independent meme.

At some point it may be worth our while to create a meme entry for "This Video Contains Win" and how it is related to the rest of the "This video contains" derivatives, including those that use the song "UN Owen Her," the different "Ran Ran Ruu" derivatives, and the McRolls. They all borrow so heavily from eachother that they all seem to make up one meme. Is it safe to say that these are all just different shades of Youtube Poop?
