So Dirk is most definitely a Brony and not an ironic one either. We totally saw that coming.

As I had mentioned before, Hussie seems to enjoy getting fandoms involved with his characters. But some people have gotten the idea that Dirk is also gay. I'm not sure where that comes from. Can anyone shed some light on that?

You know, I've come to realize that many people on the internet dislike Homestuck and its fandom
Yet unlike any other fandom, the homestuckers do not band together to dispel criticism and hence prove that their critics are right, and that they are a cancerous group of fanatics.
I am proud, homestuck. I encourage you to continue to fail to attempt to cram your tastes down the throats of others.

Reading Homestuck gives you a Hussie's Down: a rare artifact that allows you to NOT GIVE A FUCK and DO WHAT YOU DO.

Yeah, it's odd. It's one of the few things I don't brag about to everyone--not out of shame or anything, but I feel it's just the sort of thing you need to discover out of your own curiosity.

People can hate it all they like. It's not perfect. But it won't stop me from reading it.

I like to think that Homestuck appeals to people who generally just don't give a fuck.

The story itself simply doesn't give a fuck. Hussie breaks all the rules he wants and fails to care what anyone thinks. For some, that's a reason to hate it. But for people like me who like seeing creativity go wherever it damn will pleases no matter what anyone says, its beautiful.

Homestuck isn't for everybody, that is blatantly clear. Most fans understand that and thus don't expect anyone to like it, nor will they force anyone to.

Notice that the Bronies who read Homestuck also don't expect anyone to like MLP or get defensive, nor do they force anyone to.
