But do you have a google account? You could make a google doc, that way we don't have to download it each time another person signs up; you could just put it in and then we can see it right then and there. But other than that, thank you so much… this really helps.

First of all, I'm really interested to see what this project is going to turn out to be.
Secondly, I would really like to help you in this project, but I'm not talented in pixel art or any other programming stuff. Maybe you have any ideas of what I can do?

He's already said he can't add new attacks, and I'm pretty sure he's working with the cries already in the game. You also need a reference image

Okay, I'm just going to go out and say it. This is exactly what I was afraid would happen if I let you guys choose your stats and moves… It would start to get ridiculous and out of hand.
So… From now on, please just provide a reference image and your name. I'll decide the rest. I'm sorry, but not everyone knows Pokémon, and it would lead to things like this, which is why I didn't really want you guys to do it in the first place. Don't get me wrong, you'll still have fitting stats and moves etc., but it will be up to me. Don't worry, you won't be upset.

So, yeah… Basically, I'm going to decide the stats and types, and all I ask of you is just to provide a reference.

But in other news, I started on some of the legendaries… such as Mods and Admins. I don't have any finished sprites yet, but I'm just letting you know. Also, after throwing around some ideas, it's been finalized that the evil team will be 9gag. TVTropes, on the other hand is still in limbo.

Well, I'll most likely tweak everyone else's just to make things fair. Like, for example, someone I remember before said something about being a member of the air force and having Wonder Guard, which will most likely not happen. In fact, I most likely won't have anyone have the ability Wonder Guard, given how over powered it is.

Sort of, but if I'm going to put in mega evolutions, they would have to evolve at a much higher level than 50… I mean, that's a 100 BST boost, from an already powerful Pokémon. Probably at least level 80, and at most level 100. Keep in mind that I'm making the game a lot longer and harder than the normal Pokémon Ruby, thus, you will get a lot stronger a lot faster.

And yes, I think you deciding the stats will be better… at least if you have the time to do so. With 400 Usermons, it'll be a long task.

Alright I need critique. I threw together some possible designs for the 9gag evil team, so tell me what you guys think


By the way… I purposely want the leader of 9gag to be a kid to represent the immaturity of them. But, there can only be one, so I need to know if you want to go with the boy or girl leader.

Both teams look great, but I personally like the male team more. I like how the leader is a 8 year old boy.

Also the big head of the Admin represents the big headedness of 9gag.

I think it looks great. I especially like the part about a kid being the leader. Fits 9gag perfectly. About the leader being male or female, I really don't know, either one would fit. Maybe you could make both the boy and the girl share the leader title and have the player battle against them both at once, like in a double battle. Just a little idea I had.

Double battles don't exist until Generation V. Maybe SMC can put the sprites together like Tate and Liza.

But Bulbapedia says they debuted in Generation III

"A Double Battle (Japanese: ダブルバトル Double Battle), also known as a 2-on-2 battle, is a Pokémon battle featuring up to four Pokémon actively participating at once. Debuting in the games in Generation III, and featuring occasionally in the anime prior to this, they may feature anywhere between two and four Pokémon Trainers"

Also, I remember fighting against two girls near the beginning of the game on a bridge in the Emerald version.

I've had this for a couple days, and think I should put it up, since I haven't really posted any other screenshots lately.

Regarding other things:

The regi trio (Regirock, Regice, and Registeel) are now RandomMan, Holy Crap It's Bob, and Blue Screen of Death.

The legendary beasts (Raikou, Entei, and Suicune) are to be replaced with Don, Amanda b., and one last mod that hasn't been decided yet.

I've started on Bob's sprite, and I actually need to ask for more critique… I want to do the glasses, but it will cover up too much of his face, given the amount of pixels.
Here's what I have at the moment (Keep in mind, it's still a work in progress, just pay attention to the head) :

On the note of legendaries

I think Suicune should be replaced by Brad, but Molly should replace Deoxys or Latias (sidenote: is Latios in Ruby?)

Also who shall replace Rayquaza, as it is in the game as well?

This looks like a really cool idea and I'd love to be a part of it. I'd probably be Fairy/Dragon, and as such have moves mainly of those types, along with some Fighting moves and maybe a few Fire, Ice, and Electric attacks to represent spells. The ability Pickup would be fitting (as a Dragonborn I have a knack for finding random stuff). For the sprite merely a ponified version of the Dragonborn would do, you could use a sprite of Fluttershy as a base. For the stats I'm not very good with that sort of thing so I'll leave that up to someone who is. If I do end up in the game I would like to say thank you in advance.

I was actually considering Brad to be the third of that trio, however his icon doesn't really allow me to make anything out of it… As for the eon duo, Latias is only obtainable if you have Latios and have gotten the eon ticket via mystery gift, but I can easily make it so that isn't required. Latios is the only one that roams, however, so I can replace him with a fitting character…
Finally, for Rayquaza, his cry is the most fearsome out of any in the entire game (In my opinion at least, right under Tyranitar and Nidoking) So I would have to replace him with someone big… Not to mention the hassle it is getting to him… Whoever replaces Rayquaza is going to have to be big.

I would like to request that I replace the Wurmple family. I don't know what the middle forms would be, but I would either evolve into Vicious Coy (my avatar with fangs, a dark type) or what I would call Luscious Toy (my current avatar with the hair, a Fairy type). Can you do this?

It took me a while, but this finally got my attention. I see how much this project is advancing and I'd love to see it finished. Mind you, I've been out of the Pokemon franchise since Gameboy Advance. Still, I'd like to see this project play all the way out. Rather than wish to be in the game itself, I'd like to offer my services. I'm not quite sure what I can add, but I assure you I can be of some help. You'd just have to ask to find out. So, if help is needed on this project, this is my formal offer of my services.

As for my free time to work on this, I only have my job at the moment. School won't start up for a couple more months. So, between now and then I have plenty of free time. And to be honest, I just want something to occupy my time that isn't destructive to my life. Send me a message if you're interested. Otherwise, I'll pop in now and then to see how this project progresses.
