Damn you guys know me too well, I'm not goin' nuts this time by the way, Ray's comment just kinda took me aback. Besides, part 3 of the Portal 2 soundtrack is out so I'm in too good a mood to get pissy! :D

Same here because i got a kickass fruit smoothie with cool-aid mix in it :D

You said you didn't like her because of the way she was written by the fanon, or something to that effect. At least that's what I was getting from your post.

Well yeh, I don't like they way she's portrayed in the fanon (not all of it anyway, the stuff on the moon is pretty cute), but I'm not goin' "YOU ALL HAVE TO LISTEN TO ME!", I'm just giving my two cents. At this point, admittedly, it's more like my two grand, but I'm an opinionated guy, so sue me.

Yes, yes you should.

Anyway, enough of this gay banter (that doesn't mean what you think it means), check out the finalized finalized version of my FC by the name of Gidget! (not Gadget) Complete with finalized mechanical wings!

TA-DAAAAA! Tell me what you think, I wanna hear your honest critique.

And as I said, it's hard to write a character that you only have seen for one appearance, and besides, the things I've read that have her are fine.

All her appearance is going to do in that episode is give fans something to finally work with, but that still won't stop people from writing her the way they want anymore then it will people drawing Berry as a drunk pony despite word of Faust saying that no pony boozes it up.

She's really cool, and I loved the idea you made for her wanting to be a pegasus. You're a great drawer.
…Y'know, if you're any good at writing, I'd say it'd also make for some good fic material.

My OC is a mechanic too (he tends to have the magic power of troll science tho lol) :D

Also people recommend Episode 13, Fall Weather Friends, alot as a good one to start with. I have to agree.

Apart from the moon stuff I personally though her fanon was just alittle uninspired, especially compared to most of the other fanons. Besides, writing a character with very little screen time is pretty much the same level of difficulty as making an FC.

More official characterization can only make her fanon better after all, I just don't want to see too many people who cling to the idea that Luna was better before the Halloween episode, back when it was the fans who built her pretty much from the ground up.

Eeeh, not really, it only centers on two of the characters and it gets reeeaaaaaaaly sappy at the end. So I wouldn't, unless your friend was way into shipping ponies. >.>

Well, you're probably going to have to continue dealing with it, since those fans probably will still remain along with the fans who write her with the personality that she shows in that episode. The fans who write her that way, I kinda doubt will suddenly change how they write Luna, even with an episode showing her personality.

The thing is I actually started with the first 2 episodes, which people never recommend as episodes to start with because I got into the show without recommendation. I'm just going by what seems to be the majority opinion. I would have recommended a handful but I'm hella busy at the moment.

Heck the episode called "Party of one" is my fav episode through out the series

Well it depends, if someone's sitting down and saying to themselves "I'm going to sit here and watch a few episodes of pony", they could really start on any episode, and it's probably best they go in order.

But if say, you're showing an episode to a friend for the first time and they're not really that interested in watching it, you should start with an episode that doesn't require much prior knowledge or emotional commitment to the characters. I would recommend "Feeling Pinkie Keen" or "Dragonshy" since they're both superficially funny and feature a giant monster fight that pretty much blows the "little girl show" stigma out the door.

The reactions to that picture made me laugh quite a bit.

And I'd avoid Art of the Dress for that matter…despite the song in there being as bloody catchy as Hell.

Ho yeh, there are some episodes you should NEVER show someone who isn't already a fan. One of my friends I converted said that if you're watching them in order, if you can make it trough Call of the Cutie you are officially a brony.

Not that the episode's bad, it's actually damn good, but it's just really girly compared to most other episodes.

Dr. Gregory Horse The Pony Medic wrote:

Haha, sure it is scrunchyface
But don't worry: I know some people may not like, but whenever I post somethink like that, be sure it's only for the lulz.

I know but it's the fact you can not unseen what has been seen you have to think something else has change in the picture like it could be anything white and a fluid like substance like mayo so that's what I'm sticking with it helps me a lot btw.

I'll second Dragonshy.

Yep, which is why I said if you want to try to avoid the girly stigma that's associated with this franchise, I'd avoid showing that episode first until you become a fan.

Why than you good sir! :D (sorry it took like an hour to reply)

I've got a pretty elaborate backstory, or more like a "cutie mark story" (great way to characterize an FC by the way), I'm working on. It details her filly life and explains the motivations of the character.

I'm just lookin' for a good medium to tell it, I suppose a fic would do but I'd really rather go all out.

You damn right Doc.
This very day I was with two of my classmates and we were talking about our favourite cartoons/animes, and in a total natural way I said that the season 2 of MLP:FiM had just started I was eager to watch it.
They immediately stopped, stared right at me and started laughing, saying things like "What, you watch THIS kinda show?" and stuff.
I tryed to explain how awesome it was, that it was unlike all the previous gens. and that it had thousands of adults and male teen fans like me, but it didn't work.
But I don't blame them: They are not aware of the world of the internet and the cartoon hasn't reached my country yet, so I just shruged and said "Well, you can't label what you haven't seen yet, but I say I watch this show and have no reasons to deny so."

So I packed my things and walked away: LIKE A BAWSS!!!

I just came back after listening to Super Ponybeat on Youtube along with some original fan music. My mind was blown after listening to the Super Ponybeat of "Evil Enchantress."

Also @ Bronydude11's post:
I like Molestia, but that tumblr post took things too far for me. Molestia covered with…these liquid thingies grossed me out.

Oh look Crunchy Burritos in this place!

enters. Leaves 1 hour later traumatized

@Muumi:

Yeah they had a limited re-release of Lion King in 3D before putting out the Blu-Ray 3D edition in a couple of weeks.

I was lucky enough to be near a theatre that has it. It's truly a movie that surpassed the test of time.

Play that in fullscreen and tell me you wouldn't want Jeremy Irons being a villain on MLP. I DARE YOU!

Meh. People claimed trolls would roll through on page 69 a few….hours ago, is when I think we eclipsed it. Trolls did not come. In fact, I haven't noticed anyone randomly downvoting posts in a very long time.

As such, I don't think there's much to worry about. Also, if you were to post Rule 34 for a post, I'd probably report you myself, because no one (openly) wants to see it on here, it's against the rules, and because I can. :D

By the way, I think I'm going to become a Luna hater for the same reason, and because there aren't any new episodes to occupy my time, because there's no reason to and I wanna, darn it.

Having said that, all midnight blue alicorns to the moon. Again.

Okay first off, thanks for the nostaglic trip, I needed that. Second, yes he would be a nice villian on MLP. I can see it now, him singing about killing Celestia and having Twilight play some role in it to his Nazi goose stepping minions….nah

Watching the Lion King as an adult really opened my eyes to things I never noticed as a child.

"HOLY SHIT! Are those hyenas…goose stepping? This looks straight out of "The Triumph of the Will!""

The amount of times death and killing are mentioned directly (no 4kids bullshit "shadow realm" excuse) boggled my mind. You don't see that nowadays in animated features.

Yeah, watching cartoons at a older age does that to me too. There's also a German version of the video to help set the point through.

It's pretty cool though
