Uh… no. I think it was the US Army that attacked him, though. But that's a different story.

That was an army with 1940s technology.

This gauss cannon can blow Manhattan into a crater in one shot.

Aside from that, D'awwww to your Derpy picture and Fluttermac.

@Karnage: the Kryptor's right arm swivels towards him, and the gauss cannon charges to full power STAND. DOWN.

@Ideo: No idea. I think she… yeah, she's on top of the mech. I think she likes it.

Seriously, we're going insanely off-topic. Somebody post cute so that we can resolve this.

Also, night Ideo.

Nah, just her bed. Nighty night, now.

Uh I kinda think the Iron Giant would beat the shit out of your Kryptor

he was going to nuked from orbit, but he flew up and met the nuke in orbit, and then proceeds to fix himself.
and have some more DAAAAAW.

@Karnage: The Kryptor's got a lot more than that. You didn't notice the several other gauss cannons, or the fact that the ones on its arms are double-barreled, or the rocket launchers?

@Connor: D'awwwwwwwwwww.

Also, Mac and Fluttershy look like fillies in that picture.

Damn.

Actually, I kind of want to see the Iron Giant and a King Kryptor go on the offensive now. Irregardless of who wins, it would be epic.

Yes
I now have an objective.
Does anyone know someone who would make such a picture/video?

So basically, I'd get it off of Amazon or Netflix. I have it somewhere on VCR but I can't find it.
Anyway's, I'm gonna turn in. G'night all.

Betamax or it's not worth it.

Remember technology is what separates us from animals but ponies are a different story. War is what separates us from all if not most life.

Also, we have thumbs. Thumbs are cool.
And a thicker cerebral cortex. That is also useful.
And we invented the glory hole, we must all be thankful for that.

Interesting discussion time!

So my friend got that "Twilight Sparkle: Teacher for a Day" iPhone app, and it actually goes into some of the history of Equestria. (seriously, it's weird) It's an official product so it counts as canon.

For instance, did you know at one point Earth, Pegasus and Unicorn ponies where enemies? They didn't associate with other races and sometimes found themselves at odds with them. But then there was a great blizzard that drove them to work together to build Canterlot to survive, and all the different races of ponies lived in harmony.

I'm surprised more people haven't noticed this yet, there's some great story potential here.

Thank you. The past two or three pages were mind numbingly insipid not to my tastes.

That's really interesting. I can appreciate decent backstory. I'd like to find a transcript of the information on there, seeing as I don't have an iPhone. I guess that also implies that Canterlot was not always a primarily unicorn predominant city as I think it is now.

Back to the literature review (or not. I may have put in enough planning hours to call it a day.) Kids, graduate school may not be worth it.

Anywho, carry on.

@Muumi:

I'm always surprised what you can do with coloured pencils. Not a lot of people use them anymore.

Your reaction upon realizing Trollestia secretly caused the blizzard and used it to trick all the ponies into building a well fortified capital city from which she could control them unopposed after winning them over by "saving" them:

In all seriousness, I'm liking the fact that they did something like this, it's just so damn interesting!

D'you know what's annoying. I'm only 3 measly panels away from being done with my comic, but I have no idea if it's "good" or not. It just feels kinda off to me, but I think it's because I've been starring at it for about a month and all the pictures and words have lost all meaning.

Plus I've never done a comic like this before, I'm a terrible judge of my own work. And to be fair, I don't think anyone else's ever done a comic like this before. I guess I'll just have to finish it and have you guys tell me what you think. :/

This is only the first part of the story by the way, the comic itself doesn't further the plot much. If I get enough support I may actually be able to do the whole thing.

I'm confused… I thought that the ponies controlled the weather? did this come before discord or after? was this before civilization? couldn't they just seek refuge in their own respective cities?

I just don't really know where this would fit in.
