Just watched bnha. Actually binged the manga a few days ago to prepare. I'm not gonna pretend I know what the standards to review an anime by are, but I thought it was pretty great. Hope it can keep this up for the rest of the run, and can't wait to see my favorite characters to show up.

beautiful quirkless nerd too good for this world, too pure
I've only read the first few chapters, but I was kinda hoping it would get further than that in the first ep.
More
My Hero Academia 3/5 – Yeah it was pretty cool, I guess. I dunno, I'd heard so much good stuff about it I expected, I dunno, a little more? Like all the mega hit hyped up to be the next big thing shows always seem to have some sort of hook for the first episode that really digs in deep, but I didn't really get that here. I still like it, and it is very pretty, but hoping this will grow on me
Kumamiko 4/5 – This one has such negativity around it I'm kinda ashamed I like it so much. Without spoilers, lets just say the episode's second half gets kinda, strangely adult, considering what the show's about. But honestly, where that made tons of people outraged, I thought it made it more appealing, I like something with some bite to it, if it was just a straight cute girl doing cute things show I'd have been bored. Sorry, but I like this one.

I didn't know it was so controversial? I thought the first ep was really funny and cute.
What do you mean adult Strangely adult?? I am now deeply concerned.
Lot of people found the whole thing with the bear sex story (I'm sure that sounds incredibly weird out of context) really distasteful and gross, and a lot of people were upset with it. I'll admit myself, I didn't see it coming after the first half was relatively lukewarm, but unlike others I thought it gave the show more of a bite to counteract all the cuteness, which only made me like it more.
Now I know the Spring Season is just getting started, (with a few shows that caught my eye, but I always am conservative and don't pick up more than 5, which dwindles to usually 2-3 by the end), but anyone recall Barakamon?
Well, any manga reader knows how faithfully the anime adapted it. And from its success, a prequel story, surrounding Seishu Handa in his high school years, was written. I read the first chapter, has most of the same humor, but does obviously lack all the Kyushu characters.
Said manga, Handa-kun, is getting an anime sometime in July.
I just finished Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi and yeah, it deserves being the highest-rated anime series on the website I frequent. It's touching, tear-jerking, and makes impressive usage of the time ability. The author's direction with plot allowed for the viewer to know more information than the main character at some points, making many have an oh shit moment while said main character has a nonchalantly blank expression, which I think further facilitated the anime's attention drive.
That being said. There was one specific part in the anime where not even the author himself should be able to overlook. He can't be forgiven for this.
Now I could have forgiven this part with appropriate arguments. Maybe Satoru's switch to an 11 year old also means he switched mentally so his cognitive judgment isn't as refined. Okay, that's fine. However. His fucking mother sits up in her seat. I thought she of all people would shit her pants and attempt to restrain the villain/rescue her son/call the police. No, that would be the smart choices. She says "Hey. Give me one." I was about to just throw the nearest thing at my desk against the wall Lol
But yeah, aside all that, this anime genuinely deserves that 9.5/10 it has on the anime website I go. Anybody who likes "Seinen" (directed towards young adults+) and mystery anime should check it out.

At some point in the latter half of the anime, Satoru and his mother are being driven by his 5th grade teacher, who is later revealed to be the main villain. With Satoru riding shotgun and his mother asleep in the backseat, he reaches into the glovebox of his teacher's car and out falls a shit ton of lollipops. The teacher knows he's fucked. However, Satoru does not put two and two together that the teacher is a secret child paedophile killer. Despite Satoru actually being 29 and inhabiting his 11-year-old body, he does not recognize this extremely obvious stereotype about paedophiles and could have used this information to make a general assumption that maybe his teacher is the secret paedophile murderer. But because Satoru did not recognize this, the villain is able to save face and claim he's curbing an addiction with snacking on sweets.
Now I could have forgiven this part with appropriate arguments. Maybe Satoru's switch to an 11 year old also means he switched mentally so his cognitive judgment isn't as refined. Okay, that's fine. I… respectfully disagree. Before you read, you can scroll down to the bold part if you only want to hear my gripes with the show. The rest is explaining context and other problems.
BokuMachi is neither as bad or as good as what the strongest of opinions say from both sides. I won't deny it started off strong. I won't deny it captivates you. It has solid characters, some written better than others. Animation is very consistent.
I, personally, do not like the concept of numerical scoring. Everyone scores differently. Numerating content for a show is not as simple as grading an essay. When applied to large scale use, I find myself baffled by the results. I am not keen on MAL, because a "bad show" is below a 6-7, and hardly any fall below a 5. Yelp has so many restaurants with 3-3.5.
Okay, I'm loading a lot of information into you. Let's tone it down, I'm being a bit rash.
Here is the most controversial post of all time on r/anime, made by the rather infamous YouTuber Digibro, of which I am a fan of. I find myself agreeing with him more often than not, our tastes don't align perfectly, but he is an intellectual person that masters analysis and review material.
I recommend you watch it, if you have not. Anyways, I am going to try and explain why BokuMachi is far from perfection, or in this case, 9.5.
9.5 implies a near perfect show, one that allows for a thorough watching experience. The .5 off from a perfect 10 means you recognize some key flaws, but otherwise the other flaws are irrelevant to the experience or you simply don't see them.
That out of the way, here's a list of my gripes, and where the real point of this reply is:
- The show beats you on the head with its point. It does not relent in explaining what its telling, to the point in which all subtlety is lost. We constantly see Yashiro in shadows, watching ominously. Kayo's mother is shown beating her daughter over and over again. We as an audience need to have the freedom to think on our own. Don't hold our hands the whole way through, especially in a mystery show.
- Relating to the previous point, because of Yashiro's character with the candy, the watching, the shadows, and the amount of screen time he receives, between him and Kayo's mother, we have no other suspects. Jun, or Yuuki, is all but forgotten by the latter half. I recall writing a list of suspects early to the airing of the series, and found myself baffled by how little I had to work with. For a mystery show, it's rather narrow and linear.
- By the latter half, suspension and pacing lose its grasp. We're shown some odd Airi backstory about her fathers demise, a rather quick resolution to Aya's kidnapping, and some rather unnecessary News Reporter stuff. Why are we shown him sneaking into the hospital when he is irrelevant to the rest of the continued story? This show tries to develop its characters, as evident by Airi explaining the incident of theft with her father. But characters like Yuuki and the News Reporter that worked with Satoru's mother are introduced and appear to be crucial, but are quickly forgotten.
- In the grand conclusion, so much surreal action and dialogue is gushed out, we do not have time to process the surroundings. When Yashiro goes to catch Satoru in his wheelchair (and I must say, that is some Thor level strength in preventing an occupied wheelchair from falling at an already dangerous 45 degree angle when you are only holding it from one side meaning the other side is unbalanced and well, basic physics mean that side is more stressed…), how does he not catch eye of the cushion and the crowd of side characters below? He only notices them after he has allowed Satoru to fall, as if he was so focused on his heavenly revelation he was blinded by the light.
Oh boy, I am doing exactly what I did not mean to do. I'm being a cynicist, I know. It's the exact reason I left r/anime, and why I came back here. I was so put-off by the giant circlejerk that community was, it was just setting itself for disappointment. The weekly praise, hype, and atmosphere I saw was that of young children lacking foresight. Forgive me, but I'm a bit stirred on this subject.
I do not hate BokuMachi. I quite liked it, even its ending, which most seem to not like. But when it comes to assessing shows, consider all 10 numerals available in critiquing a show.
I thought this was an April Fools joke at first, but the Planerarian visual novel by Key seems like it's actually getting an adaptation:

I'm currently super interested into Space Patrol Luluco (maybe because I'm a sucker for Studio Trigger/Gainax stuff, like KLK, FLCL, TTGL and many more)
I already love the style of the show. I want to see more episodes of it.

I myself am not the biggest fan of the usual way people use numerical ratings for several reasons:
1) It inevitably gets broken down further and further. If there are only ten points on a scale, they should be absolute if intended to serve as a guide. 7.5/10, for example, is meaningless because you could go 7.4 or 7.6 until you essentially have a 100-point scale instead of 10. Same with star ratings (films and wrestling use these a lot) – half stars are meaningless; why not just use a 10-point scale if you need to be more specific?
2) Averages are never really averages. 5/10 should be "okay", but most ppl treat something like 7/10 as okay when actually that's "good".
3) 10s are either very liberal in use or not liberal enough, often reserved for very artsy or deep products when something meaningless is still capable of being good and worth watching.
That said, they come in useful for seeing what different people felt about something, and can be handy for a "rough guide" of whether you think you'd enjoy a show, especially if you like lots of different styles and genres.
I use them and even attribute them myself, but I try to keep 5 as the true average. I have a few 5s that I would actually recommend to certain people; I don't think 5 is bad. Bad is like 2 or lower.
Erased was freaking amazing and examining things like pacing issues/moral imposition etc is a very minor part of the show. These are some of the criticisms I've seen levelled at 1984 as well. Definitely valid, but minor enough that I don't think they particularly matter much. It's best saved for Lit classes. At the end of the day I watch anime to have fun and to feel a feel.
Anyway I'm off to watch some more Is the Order a Rabbit? so I can stop rambling because as I get older I find I'm growing increasingly wary of taking anime, among my other interests, too seriously.
@Tupolev I too was greatly amused by OVAAAH JASTISS

I updated the watch list on my profile if anybody at all cares what I'm not compelled to drop after the first ep.
{ really distasteful and gross, and a lot of people were upset with it }
um the Japanese people who have a cultural art history of pretty much exactly that kind of thing orrrr white people? I feel like that's a distinction I personally would like to consider when forming my opinion about this apparent backlash.
The story didn't stand out to me as much other than another weird Japanese folktale ÂŻ\(._.)/ÂŻ
The rest of it was really cute and funny, idrk what it's gonna be about but I'm gonna watch it and find out.
Well yeah, white people, but I don't think your insinuation here is fair. It's not like it's a boycott or anything, it's just a personal taste thing, not really a backlash, some like it some don't. If people were calling for the show to be taken down then yeah but that was never really going to happen. Plus if memory serves, I'm a bit hazy on it, but there's also that part where the boys are straight up picturing the girl and the bear doing it, which I think is the main thing that got a lot of people. Eh, I liked it a lot still, but I can appreciate why others don't. Different strokes and all that.
Anywho, more new anime
Joker Game 3.5/5 – Yeah, I liked it well enough, even if it's set in a bit of an awkward time period. If the show does start getting too nationalistic then I'll be sure to drop it (I just could not stomach it in GATE or Mahouka), but it doesn't seem like that by the sounds of things so it's fine. Honestly the thing that really annoyed me was that whole poker scene, everything about that, including all the other spies reactions after the fact, had me groaning hard. I just really need a reason to care about any of the characters, cause so far I really don't. Hopefully as the show goes on this will change, which I imagine will happen
Bungou Stray Dogs 4.5/5 – You know what, I really enjoyed this one. This was my most hyped going in and while the comedy is a bit off (also what the hell is that suicide gag). The whole basing the characters off authors thing I found really cute, and I loved the art and music. I'll be looking forward to more of this one
Super Lovers 3/5 – Big confession here, I don't actually like shota that much. I can appreciate the older looking stuff, but the whole joke sprung out of a dumb comment I made in IRC one time. Basically while I'm still more resistant than others, yeah it's still a tad awkward to me. Also, I usually hate yaoi shows, but that's a rant to it's own. That said, this wasn't terrible, I love the character art, and glasses-kun from the ED is top husbando Spring 2016 material. Plus, even if the show crashes and burns, the discussion about it will continue to more than make up for it
Twin Star Exorcists 3.5/5 – Yeah, this was pretty neat, which I didn't see coming. I didn't really enjoy the more low key parts but the action and soundtrack was pretty awesome. Although, this is also the season that has the return of Ushio and Tora, and honestly I don't feel like I need another big shounen besides that one, so we'll see. If the action continues to be as awesome as this episode, I might, but I dunno.
Attack on Rail Wars Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress 4.5/5 – I'm in the now minority of people who still really loves AoT, so from the start this was going to be a thing I was going to watch, even if it turned out dumb. And I mean, it is dumb! But it's a lot of fun too, the art is gorgeous for starters, and while the AoT inspiration is obvious, it's actually not quite fair to call it a cash in or a clone. To me, this is more the director going "Yeah AoT is cool, but here's how I would have done it". The two are obviously similar but I don't feel as though it's cheap. Looking forward to more of this
Concrete Revolutio The Last Song 4.5/5 – I don't care what anyone says, the first season of Concrete Revolutio was incredible and I will here nothing otherwise. And from what I can tell, this is going to be more of the same. Sadly it seems the budget took a bit of a hit, but considering Bones are probably pouring money into MHA and BSD, it was sadly to be expected. Still, this was still awesome, and I'm hyped for more.
Other than that, caught the second episode of Luluco, which was awesome. I feel as though the second episode gave me a bit more of a feel for the series. While the first had it to an extent, the second episode had a lot more of an edge to it, it's got a very dry sense of comedy which is me in a nutshell so it is very much my thing. If you were iffy on the first episode, I recommend watching the second before cementing your thoughts.
Other than that, Sakamoto needs to release already because god damn am I getting impatient :| This better live up to my high expectations.
EDIT: more
Haven't You Heard, I'm Sakamoto 4/5 – Yeah, I enjoyed this a fair bit. I feel like the show's biggest weakness is it's art and animation, visually the show's a tad dull and I think with a bit more flair the more absurdist moments could really pop. Other than that, I do really like it's timing, and I like it's sense of humour, so we'll see
Tanaka-Kun is Always Listless 2/5 – That was really boring, I just could not get into that. It's a shame, because I thought it looked and sounded kinda neat beforehand. Oh well.
Kiznaiver 4.5/5 – I take it this is the show I'm not supposed to like as much as I do, but I really REALLY enjoyed this one. The writing was a tad off at points (the Cicada and Seven Deadly Sins conversations in particular), but the rest was solid. I guess I'm in the minority who enjoyed the characters, and damn the animation and art is beautiful, I love it. Also that OP, wow, even getting past the song itself the visuals are stunning. Really looking forward to more of this one.
Flying Witch 5/5 – Well I did not expect this of all things to be my anime of the season so far but lo and behold. Healing type shows usually bore me to tears but this one's charm and relaxing atmosphere really works for me in ways others don't, all the characters are fun, and it even made me laugh a fair bit. Plus the show is very pretty, there's nothing in particular I can point to and be like "yeah, that's why the show is so good looking" like I can with Kiznaiver, Kabaneri or even Bungou Stray Dogs, it just kinda works.
Rinne 2 3.5/5 – I'm in the minority of people who genuinely enjoyed Rinne, it always had a dry sense of humour that worked with me, so I was very happy to see it come back. And yeah, this very much is more Rinne in every sense, There's not really much else to say.

They imagined it in their heads, they didn't visualize it on screen.
It was funny, that's exactly what little boy's reactions are when they start learning about sexual things.
If people are upset enough to tell the internet they're upset, that's beyond personal preference, especially when you say there's so much negativity surrounding it that you feel ashamed to like it in the first place in your initial review. My only insinuation is that people are being needlessly oversensitive again. If they want something to be mad about, there's always the token show with an obnoxiously long title that doesn't translate that well, and this season's premise is a real winner /ultimate levels of sarcasm.
Second episode of BnHA only convinced me that it should have been the second half of episode one tbh.
On the other hand, NijiDays got me like
Is anyone else here even watching it?
That's a really cynical way to look at it. Around the start of a season, everyone's giving first impressions on the new shows, even ones they don't like. I talked about how I didn't really like Tanaka-kun, but that's not to say that I found the show offensive or I'm particularly upset with it, just the jokes weren't all that funny, and since I watched it I wanted to share my thoughts just like everyone else does. It's only the same here, a lot of people watched it around the time it aired and didn't like that one set of jokes, and decided to share that because well, everyone likes to share their opinions on the new shows, good or bad. It's no more or less extreme than how people aren't liking Kiznaiver, which I enjoyed, because of the writing. I would say there's a lot of negativity around that because the vast majority of people I've seen don't really like it, but that doesn't mean they're extremely upset that it exists.

Glad you liked Flying Witch, 21. JC Staff do witches again + slice-of-life elements, it was virtually guaranteed to be my kinda show tbh.
I also really liked Anne-Happy which has a rather sardonic tone for a slice-of-life. Mains are pretty funny thus far. And the OP is nice and memey. I also am finding Luluco pretty funny, and I'm defo looking forward to more Twin Star Exorcists what with the very folklore-Japan feel to it – the world seems interesting even if the characters are a bit cut & dried.
The hate for Kiznaiver seems a bit extreme given that only one ep has aired thus far. It's like, give it a bit more of a chance mates. I learned this lesson last season with Schwarzes, which I hated after one week but ended up alright by the end.
Well it was the second half of Chapter one, which was twice as long as a regular chapter, but I guess there was no way to fit all that in one episode without cutting stuff out or screwing up the pacing.
I finally got around to watching Kuromukuro. I went in very hesitant, with quite the pessimist attitude. PA Works has disappointed me far too much, especially with last season's HaruChika.
Kuromukuro was quite the pleasant surprise. Very clean, sharp, and detailed. The color palette is bright and modern, the backgrounds sleek and refreshing. So far, I'm fairly content. It looks solid, as if the staff put more of their attention and time to this show than with HaruChika. It just looks far more polished. Character designs are consistent and quite frankly rather gorgeously animated, from their walking movements to their little expression changes.
It's just me, but I will never get used to CGI mechs. It just doesn't blend into the hand drawn aesthetic of everything else. But I'll have to accept it eventually, and I won't mark down any points because of it. 12 year old me would have thought the CGI mech battle was the coolest shit ever, but I'm beyond that now. It was fine, nothing special for me, just a display of what they are capable of and what we shall see in the future.
First episode achieved its purpose in that it intrigued me. I wasn't bored, and by the end, I was fairly interested. PA Works, please don't rush the script. Your animation and art is almost always stellar, your writing, not so much. 15 year anniversary here, after all.
Show looks good. Looks good.

I have now fully seen the first episode of Kiznaiver and really loved it, my reasons why:
- The theme of how difficult it really is to understand someone else's feelings, disaffection towards others is super bad & so on
- Protag seems like the generic "lifeless" type for now, but I expect that to change over the series since the themes would be a direct criticism of his behaviour
- Digimon-esque setup of different characters in the group who will have to work hard to understand each other
- Pretty art & stuff, OP has an unorthodox song and the ED is really pretty
- I love the ice blue hair girl.

I couldn't agree more, it was such a great first episode, really struck some good impressions on me. The Trigger animation is so lovely, and the whole setting and story was immediately captivating once it revealed itself.
And with Mari Okada writing the script, I can't help but get excited. I love, love, looveee some good character interaction and development with some melodrama mixed in.
There's a fairly strong voice cast too, some recognizable actors I like.
Everything about this show so far is nothing but positive for me. Can't wait for what's to come, I'll be following this one closely.
So is this where KYM's Anime Club is, where we watch the same anime and discuss it? I feel like that's what's going on. Maybe you guys can help fix me. I absolutely cannot get engrossed in new anime that I've just heard about. I go to an anime, click on it, read the synopsis, and I'm all "yeah, that aint me" and don't watch it. But this is apparently really good anime. Like, 92-80% Liked anime. The only exception was Food Porn Wars. It's like there's a region in my brain that's not turning on or something.

Are you actually watching any first eps, because a lot of preview text is really noncompelling. I didn't think Joker Game was something I'd be interested in at all but it's one of my favs so far. Even trailers aren't a very good measure of a show, so I give everything that even slightly sounds like not-garbage three episodes to convince me.
{ Well it was the second half of Chapter one, which was twice as long as a regular chapter, but I guess there was no way to fit all that in one episode without cutting stuff out or screwing up the pacing. }
I feel like it could have covered what the first two episodes did in an episode and a half, first ep had a suspicious amount of flashbacks to info we'd learned two minutes before, but I get it if they were trying to cleanly split a chapter. I only read the first few chapters back when I heard it was getting an anime, is it going almost literally panel for panel?

@Freak yeah previews/synopses are not particularly helpful to certain series. Last season for example, everyone expected Konosuba to be an average shitty harem based on its previews and it wasn't.
Also some shows need more than one or two episodes to get going. I had the same thing with Agents of Shield, I wasn't really "in" until roughly episode 3.
So besides DIU, I've been watching My Hero Academia and the new HunterxHunter dub. MHA is really great and I've a lot of fun watching it so far, but for HxH, it reminds me of Dragon Ball a lot, and it seems to be incredibly kid friendly, but I've been told by my cousin that I "couldn't be any more wrong".

If you've never seen HxH before then I would recommend you watch the sub first for two reasons;
First, I can attest to the quality of the sub, but the dub is unknown territory. I know for a fact that the sub cast does a top notch job but since the sub isn't fully released yet some of the characters down the road might be not-so-good. Second, one of the arcs later in the series progresses at a snails pace and watching it as the dub comes out will be pretty frustrating. That's not to say it's a bad arc, but it's much better to watch it in big chunks rather than a couple episodes a week.
Never seen it before, no, but I've decided to watch the sub first after your post.

So has anyone happened to chance upon Re:Zero? It's like Erased and Konosuba had a baby. It's actually kinda cool.
Woah someone else actually watched Re:Zero here.
I think the MC is talking too much sometimes, but it makes sense, with all the antics, he already sees himself as a main character. It might be a hit or miss. I don't want it to end up with the SAO effect of good beginning, shit everything else.
For this season, I've been watching
Sakomoto desu ga?
-Re:Zero
-Ace Attorney
-Jojo
-Flying Witch
Might have missed some, but so far nothing too much of a standout. Not up for Trigger's stuff lately.

Is anyone else watching Tanaka-kun? Hilar. I didn't even know it got an anime until I saw the third episode get uploaded last week, been flying under the radar, but it's sooooo good as a cute n quirky school life story.
This season is so much better than last season
It's like surviving a biblical plague and finding Jesus on the other side.
& all the July premieres are on fucking point, god bless.

It's not bad, in other anime communities they compared it to Kiznaiver initially, but obviously the tones are much more different. I've watched plenty of shows in this style, it's good for a laugh or too, but still nothing I personally think has blown me out the water. Aesthetic is nice though.
This season is certainly better than the winter one. Which is funny, all these studios were doing some odd things.
Deen, which is known for doing terrible, low quality, hastily rushed budget anime, made some damn good ones like Konosuba and Rakugo.
A1 pictures, which is often ridiculed as the "McDonalds" studio of the anime world, made some pretty popular shows, albeit I personally found them lackluster.
And goddamn, what happened KyoAni and PA Works. What happened.
This season is certainly pretty good, but I enjoyed last season too. This season has a lot of shows I really like, whereas last season had a few shows I really loved. It's less shows I have stronger feelings for vs. a bunch of shows I just kinda like. Besides Kabaneri, God bless Kabaneri.

look how productive I am at work.
Finally finished watching Fullmetal Alchemist (2003 dub), and oh good lord that was a great anime. I'm not sure if I want to start watching Brotherhood yet, though, but I will definitely watch it at one point or another, but first I'll watch The Conqueror of Shamballa. I've also gotta get through the HxH sub, while reading JoJolion, and also trying my best to resist reading the MHA manga.
Just watched the first episode of the My Hero Academia dub, and it's really great. Good choice of VAs for Izuku, Katsuki, and All Might, and it has a great script. The sub for MHA is already awesome, and I can't wait to see the rest of the dub.
It’s not bad, in other anime communities they compared it to Kiznaiver initially, but obviously the tones are much more different. I’ve watched plenty of shows in this style, it’s good for a laugh or too, but still nothing I personally think has blown me out the water. Aesthetic is nice though.
I lied, this show is getting exponentially better. I did a mini-marathon to catch up with the show, it's definitely better with all the different characters. Only reason I dropped it initially was because I was getting tired of the deadpan, overly stoic, emotionless main character trope. But gosh, there's not a single character I dislike.

So, Big Order. Interesting conceptually, but the story and powers have been constructed in such a way that very big logical problems arise from certain characters choosing not to use their powers to resolve certain situations and I can't overlook them any more.
There's also a lot of creep and grimdark. I am still amused for the time being but the series is on my "bad" list right now.

Brotherhood was, like, 10 times better than the first anime. Brotherhood is one of my top contenders for best anime of all time.
^ I concur with Bob's opinion. I watched FMA for the first time just as Brotherhood was starting, and apart from being dissatisfied with the ending and how everything was explained, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then I watched Brotherhood not long after the dub had just finished, and have felt zero incentive to go back to the original. It really is one of the best. Watch-it-multiple-times-despite-being-so-long tier.
Also, HOLY SHIT today's episode of Space Patrol Luluco! Such greatness!

Just jumping in here to add:
Even I watched it two more times after it finished. The first re-watch was because I liked it, the second was to get my family to watch it.
The only things I ever really redo by choice are my favorite video games, I barely ever watch anime a second time.
Re:Zero prepare to die edition today's episode was fucking great.
Wow this season, has quite the impression on me. I don't think I've ever watched seven seasonal shows at the same time before, I don't like going back and forth between settings, too hectic for me. But there's a lot of exceptional anime so far, this is great.
I mini-marathoned re:zero and caught up on the seven episodes out so far. Voice work is very convincing, and the show treads on some more mature themes. The portrayal of death is quite refreshing and I'm hooked.
Best girl:
FINDS A WAY.
Seriously thought this is unreal, just wow.
It's not exactly a new anime but I've just finished the first 4 episodes of monster and goddamn is it good. Glad I listened to all the recommendations I've seen.
Just wish I didn't already know all of the major twists :/

BnHA is getting nowhere one chapter at a time They should have given the manga another year if they were just going to stretch out each ep like this.
Well they finished their arc, the bad guy's mentor is in jail, so they're gonna move on with something else.
The BnHA anime on the other hand was amazingly done. It's a shame there's only gonna be two more episodes before they even think about a new season.
Does anyone actually have a link saying it's going to be 13 episodes or is everyone just assuming that?
