8/10 Interesting use of accordion. I like it. The music video's good too I guess.
Hey wanna hear some Vektroid? Same person who did Floral Shoppe actually.

I never been a big fan of Michael Jackson but I can understand why this song made him famous, and who can blame him, the song and specially the music video are good (and it still hold up for this modern days), it's one of the many icons from the 80's and of the Pop culture in general. So because of that, thriller is a 8.3/10 for me.

Despite the actors only "spoke" a few lines during the entire film, and it's homage to the silent films of the 20's, I never felt "The Artist" as a pretentious movie that criticizes Hollywood's modern film industry. I like the story. Corny? yes, but it that vintage Hollywood corniness. And so the soundtrack, it's not perfect neither the best, but has some charm on it.

I'm not sure I can really give this a true rating, but I will say that I like this piece overall. I'm not sure about some of the duplets, though; they clash a bit against the swing rhythm*. But I do really like the darkening that takes place at the end of the song.

*Of course, that may be the entire point; I don't know.

For the song I'll give it a 7.7/10 but for the lyrics:
And if another woman driver
Gets machine-gunned from her seat
They'll send some joker with a brownie
And you'll see it all complete
Is a 9/10.
We didn't deserve you Zappa, you magnificent and witty bastard!

And now this shit will change your life:

Oh huh it's that alien from that Eiffel 65 "I'm Blue" music video. Guess the record label the group is signed to kept using the character for other projects.

7.5/10, I like I'm Blue more, but I've still got a soft spot for this type of eurobeat music. Reminds me of my pre-teen years, and the time in my life when I was big into Dance Dance Revolution.

Meanwhile I'm still on a "Japanese electronic metal" kick so here's a song from Blood Stain Child, another electronic metal band from Japan:

[If the lyrics from the female vocalist sound a bit "funny," it's because the lyrics are in English but she's got a pretty noticeable accent. They actually used to have a different female vocalist who was Greek and her English was noticeably less accented, but she left the band due to feeling overworked.]

8 / 10
I've only heard their Epsilon album so far, which I really liked. That song sounds good as well, definitely need to check out the rest of their discography.

Guess I'll post a metal song as well. This one's a melodic death metal / metalcore song, with one of the 'prettiest' sounding guitar solos I know:

This would not be something I'd enjoy listening -- except when getting back from work -- due to the guitars being a bit too marshmallowy for my tastes. However, I recognize the melody is good and the chorus is an earworm. For this: 7.5/10!

Now: Mes, by Mexican musician Murcof in 2002.

This is what I've been listening to recently. People who watched Spanish television between 2003 and 2006 might recognize this tune because of TVE2.
