I was expecting you to say he was killed by death as the tasteless Motorhead pun.
I'm pressing "F" again.
But this time I'm serious. Rest in Power Lemmy!

haha i tip my hat to you my fellow /r/4chan patrician {+}:^)
Funny story, was at the store with a friend when we saw the Motorhead albums. He bought a copy of Ace of Spades and told me to buy something. I told him I shouldn't be spending money on things like this right after Christmas. One hour later, Lemmy was dead…..This day sucked.

I confess I was never a big Motorhead fan, more of a casual fan who only knew of a small few songs like Ace of Spades and the theme music for Triple H, but that still sucks to hear. Another one of the "old guard" of classic heavy metal is gone, but at least he managed to live a long life, and he helped influence many other musicians, so he did leave behind a nice legacy.
Lemmy Koopa from the Mario series was actually named after him since the NoA localization team (who were the ones who named the Koopalings, in Japan they were originally nameless) at the time were huge into metal and punk bands that were big in the 1980s, so even in the realm of video games, which is the one I'm much more familiar with, he's got a lasting legacy there with a well known character.
(ignore the logo in the corner of this picture, it's the only picture I could find of Lemmy Koopa and Lemmy Kilmister side-by-side)
I never was a fan of Motorhead, but I have respect for how influantial he was to metal.
Rest In Peace Lemmy.
Rest in power \m/
One of his very last interviews was him telling people to stop asking when he was going to die.
A last kick 2015? You son of a …
Damn… Knowing that i enough young to witness all my heroes death is depressing as fuck.
RIP Lemmy and thanks for the music!
This was really sad to hear. Motorhead was one of those bands that I fell away from but used to have quite an attatchment to and still held a high respect for.
