Not really, you can ad as many songs as you want to your music list without being premium and the ads are short and not very frequent.
If youre using it on mobile, then yes. Being stuck on shuffle is annoying and youll save alot of data by being able to download and play offline.
If you just use the desktop version then dont bother.
